This demonic beast was of Class 3 Lv 5 and resembled a wolf. It was about 33 meters long and had two sharp, piercing fangs that glinted with cold light, like two large knives.

Its body was also covered with a coat of sharp, black spines and looked extremely ferocious.

It was surrounded by a group of five martial artists, four men and a woman who were all in their twenties.

Constant explosions rang out and the powerful air blasts swept across the area, which constantly shattered the surrounding mountains.

The five of them jointly attacked the demonic beast but their combined strength was on par with that beast.

“Sister Yunxi, this Sky-demon Wolf is too powerful. I’m afraid we would not be able to kill it!” said a tall young man in yellow as he continued to attack.

The person he called ‘Sister Yunxi’ was the only female in the group.

Her skin was fair and her features were delicate. She wore a black tight suit and her hair was tied into a high ponytail, which made her look bright and brave.

“Even if it takes forever, we have to wear it down till it dies!”

Zhao Yunxi yelled through her clenched jaw. She kept waving her long sword and rays of piercing sword Qi shot toward the Sky-demon Wolf.

They might be weaker than the Sky-demon Wolf in terms of cultivation, but as long as they combined forces, they should be able to kill this beast.

Snarl! Snarl! Snarl!

The Sky-demon Wolf growled ferociously as the continued attacks from the group forced it to keep retreating. Soon, blood flowed freely from its body.

Shouted Zhao Yunxi as her attacks got fiercer.

The Sky-demon Wolf suddenly shot up to the air and broke free of their ambush.

She and her four young allies chased the escaping beast.

All of a sudden, the Sky-demon Wolf turned around and was bursting with demonic Qi. Sharp bony spikes shot from its body like arrows toward the group.

These bony spikes travelled quickly. They made a shrill noise but too quick for the naked eye to percieve. The spikes neared the group in an instant.

“Oh no!” Zhao Yunxi and her comrades turned pale.

This was the Sky-demon Wolf’s most powerful move but it experienced a large dip in strength when these bony spikes were released.

Therefore, it wouldn’t usually deploy this attack unless absolutely necessary.

However, it deployed this move when it had a chance to escape which was completely unexpected.

The demon wolf caught its five assailants off guard.

They hastily tried to block the bony spikes with their most powerful techniques.

Boom!

“Ah! Ah!”

There was a string of explosions. Afterwards, two screams rang out.

Amongst the group, two young men of weaker cultivation had been instantly killed.

Zhao Yunxi and the other two young men had managed to block the spikes and sustained minor injuries from the bony spike attack.

The Sky-demon Wolf flew back with lightning speed and charged at Zhao Yunxi.

She immediately accepted the young man in white as her savior.

“Young master, please wait!” shouted Zhao Yunxi.

Zhao Yunxi immediately shot to the sky in pursuit of a young man in white when she noticed he was moving too quickly and away from her.
