Chapter 539: A Bet, and Fusion
Translator: Transn Editor: Transn
“Hmph!” Su Mo only came to his senses when he heard her snort. He felt so ashamed of himself for being weak-minded and fascinated by her smile!
Although she looked about 20 years old, her actual age was still unknown!
“What’s the bet?” Su Mo took a deep breath and asked calmly.
“It’s very simple. If you can top the Martial Arts Competition of the Nine Peaks, I won’t ever interfere with your relationship with Xuan’er again.” Qian Xunyue smiled and continued, “Of course, if you failed, you are not allowed to see Xuan’er again!”
Qian Xunyue’s lips drew a crescent smile, as she was not afraid that Su Mo would not agree to her conditions. Given his pride, he would definitely take the bet.
Su Mo would definitely lose the bet if he agreed to it!
“Top the Competition?” Su Mo was startled and his face sank. Although he was extremely confident in his strength and believed that he was one of the best among the outer disciples, he was not so arrogant as to assume himself to be the strongest.
Afterall, every peak in the Celestial Spirit Sect had their own devilish geniuses. Those at Lv 9 Enlightenment Realm were probably as strong as Lv 1 or 2 True Darkness Realm martial artists!
Although Su Mo had unbelievable talent, he had yet to reach such a stage, because he required more time.
“What’s wrong? Aren’t you certain that you’re the most talented? Are you afraid to take the bet?” Qian Xunyue purposely smiled disdainfully.
“You…!” Su Mo was left speechless by her words and her disdained smile. He was secretly enraged that he was being despised by a woman.
He was not dumb, he knew that she was taunting him, but he was going to take the bait anyway.
“Fine, I’ll take the bet.” Su Mo took a deep breath and exclaimed loudly. He had never been afraid of taking a bet before, and he surely was not going to let a woman look down on him.

He could contend against Lv 9 Enlightenment Realm martial artists when he was only at Lv 5. Now that he was comparable to a martial artist at a Half Step to the True Darkness Realm, he might still stand a chance in the competition.
“Great!” Qian Xunyue smiled at his response and reminded him, “If you lose, you are not allowed to see Xuan’er again. If you dare to break the promise, I wouldn’t go easy on you again!”
“I won’t break the promise, and I hope you can keep your words too!” Su Mo replied calmly.
“Of course!” Qian Xunyue nodded with a smile. In her opinion, Su Mo would definitely lose the bet. Even if Su Mo was at Lv 8 Enlightenment Realm cultivation, he had no chance of winning the competition, not to mention that he was currently only at Lv 6.
The main peaks like Great Heaven Peak, Holy Sky Peak, and Demonic Sky Peak all had their fair share of devilish geniuses at Lv 9 Enlightenment Realm. Their combat strength could not be measured based on their cultivation, so Su Mo definitely stood no chance against them.
“Hmph! I’ll see you at the Martial Arts Competition of the Nine Peaks!” Su Mo snorted and left.
Qian Xunyue shook her head as she watched Su Mo leaving.
“Young at heart and arrogance!” she murmured and disappeared in an instant.
…
Su Mo quickly returned to his attic on Towering Sky Peak.
Su Mo sat cross-legged in his practice room and murmured, “It’s not entirely impossible to top the competition!”
Once he could fuse the five elements into the Chaotic Force, he could easily beat all the masters of the nine peaks, not to mention winning the competition.
However, Su Mo knew that it would not be easy to fuse the five elements into the Chaotic Force.
Su Mo wanted to win the bet not because he wanted Qian Xunyue to stay out of his relationship with Hong Qingxuan, but because he wanted to prove her wrong.

Didn’t she look down on him?
Didn’t she think that he was not talented enough?
Didn’t she think that he was not good enough for Hong Qingxuan?
He would try his best to win the competition regardless of the difficulties that lie ahead.
If he succeeded, her expressions would surely be hilarious!
“Let me elevate to Lv 7 Enlightenment Realm first!” After a short while, Su Mo took a deep breath and started devouring Spiritual Stones. Once his cultivation enhanced to Lv 7, he would be as strong as an average Lv 1 True Darkness Realm martial artist.
The strength of a Lv 1 True Darkness Realm martial artist was considered one of the top notch, even if he could not come out top in the competition.
During the past one month or so, although Su Mo did not focus on refining his Vital Spirit, it was stable enough for him to break through again.
Rustle!!
A massive amount of Spiritual Stones appeared and burst into spiritual Qi, creating a seething wave of spiritual mist.
Su Mo’s cultivation was skyrocketing unstoppably.
After 15 minutes, Su Mo’s cultivation had already reached Lv 7 Enlightenment Realm, but he kept devouring spiritual Qi, while his cultivation continued skyrocketing.
Middle Lv 7 Enlightenment Realm!
Late Lv 7 Enlightenment Realm!
Peak Lv 7 Enlightenment Realm!
After reaching the peak at Lv 7, Su Mo attempted to break through to Lv 8. However, he gave up after several attempts. His cultivation had increased too rapidly, causing his Vital Spirit to be unstable for him to break through again.
Shortly after, Su Mo stopped cultivating. He had spent nearly 4,000,000 Medium Spiritual Stones this time, meaning that his cost of cultivating was getting more and more horrifying.
Su Mo fell into deep thought, pondering if he should visit the Gravitational Cultivation Room again. In the Gravitational Cultivation Room, he could refine his Vital Spirit faster and rapidly stabilize his cultivation.
However, Su Mo soon gave up on the idea, because there was not enough time.
There were only five days left before the Martial Arts Competition of the Nine Peaks. Even if the Gravitational Cultivation Room had a phenomenal impact on stabilizing his cultivation, he would not be able to make it in time.
Su Mo had spent too much time comprehending the sword will.
If Qian Xunyue had made the bet with him earlier, he would have spent all his time on improving his cultivation instead.
After all, the increase in his strength from improving his sword will was far less significant than improving his cultivation.
“Let’s try to fuse the Five Elements Force!” Su Mo took a deep breath and summoned his five-colored Vital Spirit onto his palm.
The five-colored Vital Spirit was then separated into the five elements, each resting respectively on his fingers.
Su Mo’s current Vital Spirit was just a mixture of the five elements. They were not truly fused together yet.
If the five elements had truly fused together, his Vital Spirit would not be five-colored.
“Let’s fuse the five elements based on their inter-promoting properties!” Su Mo murmured. Having lived twice, he naturally understood the mutual reinforcement and neutralization of the five elements.
“Since gold enhance water, I’ll try to fuse these two elements first.”
Su Mo placed the Vital Spirit of the gold property on his thumb and the Vital Spirit of water property on his index finger, then he slowly combined his two fingers.
Su Mo was just attempting to fuse the elements as of now. To truly achieve complete fusion, he needed to combine the Five Elements Force in his nine spiritual spirals.
The combination of two elements on his fingers was just for him to gauge the success rate of fusing the five elements.

A Forgotten Hero
(author: This is gonna be a long synopsis I apologise. This should be a prolouge but as you will see I have a seperate prolouge, please forgive me. This fiction as a warning beforehand is as basic as it comes, prettymuch following all story conventions of both the mecha and school life genres. I am mostly writing this to figure out my writing style before I begin something truly creative and uique. I dont wanna ruin something I worked hard on by being illiterate. Also illustrations are at a minimum because all I have access to is MS paint.) In the year 2028 humanity (accidentally) created the means to travel great distances through space in a short period of time. This has led humanity down the road of great technological advancement and also led to the spread of humanity across their home system and just begiining first steps upon other solar systems planets. In the year 2033 the human colonies in space broke from the chains of their old countries creating hyper advanced societies disregarding nationality and any other defining factor. Two space societies formed the Solar Empire a monarchic society with its capitol on the moon Titan which controeld the entire human home system aside from Earth which still remained divided into seperate contries. The other was the Extra-solar Leauge. A mysterious society outside of easy contact range with any other humans besides themselves. To help with construction and other work outside of sealed and breatheable atmospheres of their cities and ships the Solar Empire and Extra-Solar Leauge created what became known as Advanced Movement Shells(AMS). These machines are best described as huge exoskeletons or "mechs", and they aided greatly in getting things done by increasing strength, durability, and the amount of tools able to be used. They also aided in quelling rebellions among extremist groups forming in these new societies. Finally in the year 2050 the Solar Empire having divinated their emperor, and now beliving themselves to be their religions chosen people, the Solar Empire declared a holy war of conquest against all the nations of Earth in order to conquer it under the idea that all humanity was required to bend to their divine emperors rule. The first month of the war whent badly for earth as the divided nations fell one by one due to the Empires superior weaponry among other technologies which made their forces nearly invincible. The AMS were used to great effect due to their almost "magical" level of technological advancement. Some nations able to put up some kind of defense created their own versions of these technological terrors. From there the war became a brutal stalemate and suddenly was won by the forces of earth. Why this is still hasn't come to the light of the common man, but one thing is for certain it took a heroic effort from one, or many people to win it for humanity...

Writing test
So... It has come to my knowledge that I need a proper synopsis to post/save this so here goes a thing: Someone dies, and what comes after seems to be like one of those myths of old where you are brought to the afterlife, except, this particular soul's afterlife doesn't seem like it will be comfortable, will it? WARNING: I am only writing this because I want to see how long I can keep writing from here and I am only posting it in RR because I like the display. I advise you do not start reading it but if you do, know that I PROMISE NOTHING. Pd: I write in the night settings so it may be needed to see.
