Chapter 518: A Haven
Translator: Transn Editor: Transn
After Su Mo returned to Heavenly Inn on Everlasting Island, he checked into a room and stayed on.
Su Mo sat cross-legged in his room and was deep in thought.
He had obtained a pretty good haul. The Divine Map, Natal Swordcraft Technique, and the craftsmanship of Ou Lianzi were priceless treasures.
Even a top expert would crave for these three treasures.
After some thought, Su Mo decided that he would start studying craftsmanship upon his return to Celestialspirit Sect.
This would be his way of earning Spiritual Stones in the future.
Once he became a craftsman, he would be able to create various powerfu weapons for himself.
His most pressing priority for now was to increase his strength.
Su Mo flipped his hand over and a broken sword appeared. This was the Spiritual Sword he obtained from Xue Tianhao after it had been auctioned off at Treasure Pavilion.
If he had not obtained the Natal Swordcraft Technique, he would have had to spend time and effort on figuring out how the Spiritual Sword worked.
The Natal Swordcraft Technique from Ou Lianzi had detailed the use of the Spiritual Sword, which helped Su Mo grasp its usage.
One thing of note was that Spiritual Swords were split into two categories, ordinary Spiritual Sword, and Natal Spiritual Sword.
There was a distinct difference between the two categories. Ordinary Spiritual Swords would not be able to mature, their power determined by their level. On the other hand, Natal Spiritual Swords would be able to mature, and had a larger potential for growth.
The way they were controlled was also different.
The ordinary Spiritual Sword was controlled by Qi!
The Natal Spiritual Sword was controlled by the spirit!
Simply put, an ordinary Spiritual Sword could be controlled solely by the Qi within one’s body. On the contrary, Natal Spiritual Swords were controlled by the mind and Spiritual Thought.

The Natal Spiritual Sword was more precious and it was more powerful than other weapons of the same rank.
“This broken sword should be an ordinary Spiritual Sword. “Su Mo mused.
He had drawn this conclusion because Natal Spiritual Swords were closely tied to a martial airtist’s mind and spirit, and would be destroyed if the martial artist perished.
This sword was broken, but not destroyed. It was therefore safe to assume that it was an ordinary Spiritual Sword.
“After leaving my spiritual brand on it, I will be able to control the Spiritual Sword!”Su Mo smiled and used the power of his mind to leave a spiritual brand on the sword.
The process was not easy. Su Mo spent 15 minutes before he finally managed to leave his spiritual brand on the Spiritual Sword and gain full control of it.
After he had activated the Vital Spirit in his body, five-colored rays burst forth from this sword, and a sharp, piercing Qi filled the air.
“Go!” Su Mo shouted and pointed to the wooden table in front of him. The Spiritual Sword turned into a stream of light, pierced through the table, and left behind two holes on it.
“That speed was incredible! ” Su Mo looked stunned. The Spiritual Sword had moved at a speed that was even faster than his reaction speed.
“Haha! The attack from this Spiritual Sword should be even more powerful than the ultimate move from my Sky-crushing Sword!” Su Mo smiled and muttered, “This Spiritual Sword shall be my trump card in the near future.”
Su Mo was elated. The attacking prowess of this Spiritual Sword might not be as good as his Sky-crushing Sword, but in terms of speed, it was faster by a mile.
Even a martial artist of True Darkness Realm could be killed by it if they were caught off guard.

Su Mo then controlled the Spiritual Sword and made it fly around the room.
After he had familiarized himself with the Spiritual Sword, Su Mo kept it and took out the spiritual beast bangle.
There were 300 Lv 5 spiritual beasts in the spiritual beast bangle, which made Su Mo’s eyes gleam.
He had decided to first refine the spiritual beast bangle, and leave his spritual brand on it. As for the beasts within it, he would attempt to subdue them when his cultivation had increased. If they refused to acknowledge him as their master, they would be food for Lil Eight.
Su Mo kept the spiritual beast bangle after he left his spirtual brand on it.
Then he began to cultivate, working toward refining his Vital Spirit to strengthen his cultivation.
Su Mo went in seclusion in Heavenly Inn for eight days.
After eight days, he stopped his cultivation as he remembered that Hong Qingxuan was still in the Divine Map, so he entered the Map again.
When he came to the stone house, he was stunned.
The stone house had undergone a complete revamp, and now looked clean and comfortable.
Su Mo was even more surprised to see a fence surrounding the stone house, creating a courtyard within.
“This..!” Su Mo was speechless. If it wasn’t for the river and the nearby mountains, he would have thought he was at another place!
“Brother Su Mo, how is it? Does it look good?” Hong Qingxuan walked out of the house when she noticed Su Mo’s arrival, smiling happily.
“This..was it you?” Su Mo asked, surprised.
“Of course. Who else can it be?” Hong Qingxuan smiled proudly and said, “Isn’t it good? Now it feels more like home. There is dense Spiritual Qi within this place, you may cultivate here in future.”
Su Mo took a deep breath at her words. He couldn’t help but feel something indescribable.
Home?
He hadn’t felt what it was like to be home in the longest time, whether in his past or present life.
As he looked upon Hong Qingxuan’s smiling face, it was like something warm had enveloped his heart. It was as if this place was his safe haven, and Hong Qingxuan, his spiritual shelter.
Su Mo realised that he had developed feelings for Hong Qingxuan after spending all these time with her.
“Not bad!” After a while, he shrugged off the thought and said with a smile.
“Brother Su Mo, the area is extremely big. You may plant some Spiritual Herbs in the future.” Hong Qingxuan said.
“Alright!” Su Mo nodded and sighed within. Hong Qingxuan showered so much care on him, it was hard not to see her feelings.
However, he could not accept Hong Qingxuan before he had even seen Xi’er?
He be letting Xi’er down if she had been waiting for him all these time.
Su Mo suppressed his feelings for Hong Qingxuan although he also reciprocated her feelings.
As he studied her, Su Mo’s eyes lit up and smiled. “Qingxuan, you’ve broken past your bottleneck?”
Hong Qingxuan’s smile got wider as she said, “I have advanced to Lv 2 Enlightenment Realm three days ago.”
“Not bad!” Su Mo nodded.
They chatted for a while before leaving the Divine Map together.
When they reached Heavenly Inn, they saw that Huang Yao had not arrived, so they decided to stay on for another three days.
If Huang Yao still did not return after three days, they woud leave.

Covenant Sinners: The Origin of a Demon Queen
Demon-slayer knight Hector Aeronwen became an enemy of all humankind after saving a dying half-demon girl out of pity. Little did he know, his impulsive action had forever changed the course of the world and the fates of many. This is the story about Hector's desperate quest and the beginning of the demoness whose destiny is to shake the world to its very foundation. Author's note: At the risk of spoiling too much of this story, I want to reveal a bit about the core idea behind this work of fiction. I set out with the idea to write a story in the perspective of the second in command of a demon lord, which then would be followed up with large scale kingdom buildings and warring states. But then I asked myself: what past do they have between them for the Demon Lord to have so much faith in her second in command, and for him to be so loyal to such a horrible being? So this is my attempt at writing the origin of those two, who, while hated by all races in the world, still have each other as the only confidant to entrust their life to. If you are like me and want to see where this premise, with a vague destination in mind, will lead to, please have a read and give me your valued feedback!

Gray's Crucible
“The value you have brought to trade is immense, more than a thousand fold what any other traveler to Crucible has ever produced. More than even I produced during my journey.” The old man paused for a moment here, seemingly reluctant to continue. After a few seconds he begins again with weariness creeping into his voice. “As the Messenger of Crucible I have received the value of your life. You shall be awarded a body with potential equaling the value you have brought to this place in accordance with the laws of the higher realms. Now you shall depart for Crucible, but first; I, Jaze, will give you some advice.” The old man, Jaze, he had named himself paused a time. Time enough that Gray began to wonder if he was still present, when he suddenly continued in a low and serious tone, “You will undoubtedly have great potential Gray of Earth, but it is still only potential. What could be is not necessarily what will be. If you step foolishly in my world, if you can not live up to the potential you have bartered for, Crucible will crush you mercilessly and tear away your very soul.” A thought, cheerful and light was heard from Gray before his presence was sent rocketing away like a shooting star. “I’m looking forward to it.”
