Chapter 497: Second Senior Sister
Translator: Transn Editor: Transn
After Xue Tianhao placed his bid of 22,000,000, Su Mo fell silent.
Su Mo sighed inwardly and shook his head. He stopped bidding. He had given up!
Paying such an exorbitant price for a half-broken Spiritual Sword was not worth it. The cost had risen above Sky-crushing Sword.
After Su Mo stopped bidding, the Master of All Beasts and the woman in the first VIP room also gave up!
On the auction podium, Ming Yu noticed that no one was bidding. She announced after a few more heckles, “Congratulations to the guest in the tenth VIP room for purchasing the Spiritual Sword!”
After the announcement, Ming Yu arranged for the maids to deliver the Spiritual Sword to Xue Tianhao’s VIP room.
“Everyone, this auction is now over. Thank you for all your support!” Ming Yu looked around and bowed to the crowd.
“Miss Ming Yu is too kind!”
“You’re very welcome, Miss Ming Yu!”
Many people bowed in return. As everyone prepared to leave, the crowd in the auction room began to swarm.
In the VIP room, Hong Qingxuan comforted Su Mo, “Brother Su Mo, you don’t have to be frustrated about losing the Spiritual Sword! That sword is half-broken and way inferior to your Imperial Divine Weapon!”
Su Mo replied with a forced smile, “Qingxuan, I’m not frustrated. I guess this sword and I are just not meant to be!”
Although he was slightly disappointed that he had failed to purchase the Spiritual Sword, he was not frustrated. It would have been nice to possess the treasure, but it was not a necessity.
“Alright!” Hong Qingxuan nodded.
“Junior Brother Su Mo, Junior Sister Hong, the auction is over. Let’s leave!” Huang Yao chimed in. She had gotten a jade bracelet that could help with cultivation. She was in a great mood!
“Let’s go! ”

The three of them walked toward the exit of the auction room.
When they reached the gate, they saw a young woman standing nearby.
She appeared to be around 20 years old. She wore a long blue dress, which accentuated her slim figure and pale skin.
In terms of appearance, she was even more attractive than Huang Yao.
The young woman attracted the attention of many people.
She was staring straight at Su Mo and he felt as if she were sizing him up.
Su Mo was confused. He did not know her. Why she was staring at him like this?
“Are you Su Mo?” She asked in a soft voice.
Su Mo was startled by her voice. It identified her as the woman in the first VIP room who had out bid him for the Spiritual Sword!
Why did she want to talk to him?
“Yes!” he nodded.
The woman in blue smiled slightly. “I didn’t expect Towering Sky Peak to have new disciples. I’m your Senior Sister.”
“Senior Sister?”
Su Mo was shocked. He quickly gained his senses, but could not hide his surprise, “Are you Senior Sister An Nuan?”
Besides those who had died, Towering Sky Peak only had eight disciples, including Su Mo.
If this woman was a Towering Sky Peak disciple, she was definitely Second Senior Sister An Nuan!
“Yes!” the woman in blue nodded.
“Haha! I didn’t expect to meet my Second Senior Sister here!” Su Mo smiled.
“I was just passing through Golden Shark Island. I heard that Treasure Pavilion was having an auction, so I decided to check it out. I’m heading back to Celestial Spirit Sect now!” she said.
After a slight sigh, she continued, “Junior Brother, you’ve shown off a shocking amount of wealth at the auction, and that might put you in harm’s way. Why don’t you return to Celestial Spirit Sect with me?”

“Er…” Su Mo frowned. He had just recently left Celestial Spirit Sect. He had yet to achieve his goals. How could he go back?
Su Mo shook his head and replied, “Second Senior Sister, I just left Celestial Spirit Sect. I want to gain some experience at Sky Sea Lake.”
An Nuan sighed, “Since you don’t want to go back, I won’t force you. However, be extremely careful!”
“Yes, I understand!” Su Mo nodded.
He then introduced An Nuan to Hong Qingxuan and Huang Yao, who bowed to An Nuan.
In the distance, two sets of piercing eyes watched Su Mo through the crowd.
“Tian Hao, I don’t think we can kill him. That woman is An Nuan from the List of Top 1,000 Talents,” Tao Wei said with a frown.
Xue Tianhao also frowned and said coldly, “They’re both Celestial Spirit Sect disciples. It was likely chance that brought them together today. I’m sure they’ll soon depart”
“Perhaps” Tao Wei sighed.
Someone else had been spying on Su Mo as well, “Humf! He’s quite wealthy!”
At the gate of the auction room, An Nuan gave Su Mo a few more pieces of advice, “Junior Brother, I have to return to Celestial Spirit Sect. Take care!”
“You too, Second Senior Sister!” Su Mo clasped his fists in her direction.
“Alright!”
An Nuan nodded. She casually glanced around and smiled slightly.
Then, she flew into the sky and sped away in a blue streak of light.
“Su Mo, let’s leave Golden Shark Island too,” Hong Qingxuan said quietly.
“There’s no need to rush!” Su Mo shook his head and continued, “Let’s go back to the lodge and leave in two days!”
“Two days?” Hong Qingxuan and Huang Yao both frowned slightly. They had angered Xue Tianhao and revealed their wealth in the auction room. They needed to leave Golden Shark Island at once.
Every day spent on Golden Shark Island exposed them to more danger.
“Qing Xuan, Senior Sister Huang, don’t worry. I have my own plans,” Su Mo said with a smile.
Hong Qingxuan nodded and did not inquire further, but Huang Yao asked curiously, “Junior Brother Su Mo, what kind of plans?”
“No more questions. Let’s just go back to the lodge!” Su Mo shook his head.
He then exited the auction room and headed toward the lodge.
“Why are you being so mysterious?” Huang Yao pouted but followed close behind.
Soon, they reached the lodge.
In his room, Su Mo sat cross-legged on his bed, deep in thought.
He had angered Xue Tianhao. He would probably be attacked. However, due to his identity, and the fact that he had revealed his Heavenly Token, Xue Tianhao would not be able to attack him in public.
Thus, he was safe for now on Golden Shark Island.
During the next two days, he needed to increase his strength to overcome future dangers.
He only had around 100,000 Spiritual Stones, which were not enough to increase his cultivation. However, he could increase his strength by cultivating Sky-burning Fire skill too.
Currently, Su Mo’s Grand Chaos Five Elements Skill had fused two Lv 6 Imperial Cultivation methods: Nirvana Cultivation Method and Mountains-weight Skill. The other three were only Lower Lv 5 cultivation skills.
I he replaced his current fire property cultivation skill with Sky-Burning Fire Skill, his Five Elements Vital Spirit would become much stronger.
They would only be safe if he became stronger.
Su Mo took out the jade slips that contained Sky-Burning Fire Skill and began reading.
Sky-Burning Fire Skill was separated into seven stages just like other Lv 6 skills. It accumulated fire property, or Spiritual Qi, and it could destroy the world with a sea of flames at its peak.
“Two days are enough to complete the first stage!”
After two hours, Su Mo had familiarized himself with Sky-Burning Fire Skill and began cultivating.

Cultivating Earth [Hiatus]
[This fiction is on indefinite hiatus. I'm currently acting as a 24-hour caregiver for my step-father who had a massive heart attack. Sorry everyone!] Zhao Gang, after hundreds of thousands of years cultivating, has finally reached the penultimate threshold. He is ready to ascend to the level of True Immortal. Driven by the need for a place his enemies won't find him, Zhao Gang puts together an audacious plan. He has developed a revolutionary new formation which will allow him to ascend while on even the lowest planes. To avoid drawing attention, he has to choose a plane that is relatively desolate, however. He chooses Earth. Fast forward three thousand years. Zhao Gang discovers what his work has wrought - a cultivation-free culture that has delved the deep mysteries of creation - he can't help but think how this tiny little planet devoid of natural energy could affect the course of all creation. There's only one problem. For that to happen, he has to succeed in cultivating Earth. Notes: Chinese names should be ignored in the social context - they don't mean anything. Sorry for slaughtering such a beautiful tradition. This novel starts off slower than most. If the slow-roll isn't your thing, you might want to give this a pass. If it's not for you, I understand. Also, releases may be broken up into smaller chunks. The goal is 5k words, but definitely more than 4k. If you see a short release, be aware that more is probably coming. I'll be honest and say that I'm struggling with each new scene, if only because I want to balance the scope of vision with good pacing. I hope the work I put into it is worthwhile.
