Chapter 479: The Honor of Invincibility
Translator: Transn Editor: Transn
Murong Wudi’s words caused a roar of excitement to rise from the crowd.
“He did it!”
“He actually did it!”
The bets placed by both Murong Wudi and Su Mo, were far too precious and rare.
Both the Imperial Cultivation Method and the Imperial Divine Weapon were at a Level 6. The average Enlightenment Realm martial artist could not afford these. Murong Wudi and Su Mo had the support of powerful Masters which allowed them to possess such treasures.
The crowd was abuzz with excitement. Who would emerge victorious? The loser would have to part with a precious treasure!
They couldn’t wait for the battle to start!
However, the consensus was that Murong Wudi would win Su Mo’s Imperial Divine Weapon.
The only exception to the crowd’s opionion came from Feng Shaoyu, Yun Fei, Tian Chen and Hong Qingxuan. They had confidence in Su Mo. However, their confidence had its limits. The victorious streak by Murong Wudi being witnessed among all was just too incredible!
“Eighth Senior Brother, Ninth Senior Brother, what do you think are the chances of Eleventh Junior Brother emerging victorious?” Tianchen said gravely. “If Eleventh Junior Brother loses the Sky-Crushing Sword our Master gave him, he will be furious!”
“Eleventh Junior Brother’s ability to battle higher-level opponents is far better than the three of us. It’s difficult to predict a winner.” Yun Fei said softly.
Feng Shaoyu nodded, “We’ve never seen Eleventh Junior Brother’s true combat strength. Perhaps he has a strong hidden card! We also cannot underestimate the power of Murong Wudi’s Gravitational Field. Even if we met as peers, I’d probably lose!”
The trio was getting worried. Su Mo’s opponent was just too strong!
Hong Qingxuan and Wu Sheng both shared similar emotions; however, they felt some anticipation as well. They were looking forward to Su Mo defeating Murong Wudi. They worried that he would suffer defeat at the hands of Murong Wudi.

In short, they feared Su Mo’s chances of victory were very slim.
On the fighting ring, Su Mo was elated at Murong Wudi’s words. This was exactly what he had hoped to achieve. If he could integrate the Mountains-Weight Skill into his Grand Chaos Five Elements Skill, both the level of his Grand Chaos Five Elements Skill and the power of his Vital Spirit would increase by a large margin.
“Murong Wudi, let’s fight!”
Fighting desire flashed in Su Mo’s eyes. He suddenly gave a loud cry, and the golden light from his body became even more dazzling. His golden scale armor shone brightly in the sun.
The gravitational field may have been powerful, but Su Mo’s physical strength was unparalleled. He only needed to utilize 30% of his physical strength to resist the strong pull of gravity.
The problem at large was that the gravitational field affected the operation of his Vital Spirit, slowing it down. After his Vital Spirit left his body, it would be subject to the effects of the gravitational field, and its power greatly reduced.
Moreover, the longer the striking distance was, the weaker the power of Vital Spirit would be.
He would need to engage in close-range combat in order to defeat Murong Wudi.
Su Mo wanted to engage in a fair battle with someone equal to his own level of expertise and high calibre. He would not call on the power of his Martial Soul force unless absolutely necessary. This would show everyone who was truly invincible amongst his peers!
Thump!
As he stamped his foot, a dull thud sounded from the vibrating fighting ring. A blast wave swept across in all directions.
The recoil from the stomp helped Su Mo resist the mighty gravity and enabled him to fly like an arrow toward Murong Wudi.

“Slash!”
Just as he approached Murong Wudi, Su Mo swung his sword. His strong Vital Spirit filled the air. A 100-meter-long five-colored sword Qi split the air, and shot upward.
This sword, unlike the previous probing attack, embodied a terrifying sword Qi that shot to the heavens. Its power was not weakened, even under the influence of the gravitational field, and could easily kill an average peak Lv 5 Enlightment Realm martial artist.
The sword’s radiance instantly approached Murong Wudi.
“Impressive!” Murong Wudi’s eyes glinted brightly. Instead of stepping backward, he rushed toward the five-colored sword Qi.
Boom!
With a heavy punch, the five-colored sword Qi immediately dispersed into sword rain, and shot in all directions.
Slash! Slash! Slash!
A large amount of sword Qi instantly pierced the rock walls in the distance, and tiny holes filled the rock walls. An equally large amount of sword Qi shot up into the sky towards the space above the gorge.
“Crap!”
“Get out of there!”
“Watch out!”
At the top of the gorge, the weaker disciples were shocked at the power of the approaching sword Qi and quickly fled. This caused the area to descend into chaos.
Swish!
Without pause, Su Mo quickly flew toward Murong Wudi and swung his sword violently once again.
“Nirvana Swordplay—Dark Serenity!”
With a flash of sword radiance, a destructive aura soared into the sky, and an even more powerful sword Qi flew toward Murong Wudi.
Nirvana Swordplay may have been a Lower Lv 6 King martial arts technique, but it unleashed immense power.
In fact, no Enlightenment Realm martial artist would be able to reflect the true power of the Imperial Divine Weapon or King martial arts.
If a martial artist at Peak Lv 9 True Darkness Realm cultivated Murong Wudi’s Mountains-Weight Skill to an advanced level, he could easily kill a weak Martial King Realm martial artist.
Similarly, if a strong martial artist at Peak Lv 9 True Darkness Realm wielded Su Mo’s Sky-Crushing Sword, a medium Lv 6 Imperial Divine Weapon, he could break open a lofty mountain and a space barrier.
Though Su Mo’s Nirvana Swordplay had only reached minor completion, it was already very powerful.
This move, Dark Serenity, was the second move of Nirvana Swordplay. Compared to the previous sword, this was at least twice as powerful.
At the sharp increase in Su Mo’s attack power, Murong Wudi’s face changed and a sharp glint flashed in his eyes. Su Mo’s strength had surpassed his expectations.
The fact that Su Mo dared to make such a bet meant that his strength was extraordinary. However, rather than fear, Su Mo’s power awakened Murong Wudi’s dormant fighting desire.
The fight was not for the prize!
This fight was not for revenge!
This fight was just for the title of ‘The Invincible’.
After this fight, one of them would become the true invincible person amongst his peers!
“Fight!”
As Murong Wudi shouted, a loud rumble rose from his body. The gray Vital Spirit enveloping around him turned into small mountains in an instant.
In a flash, Murong Wudi was surrounded by thousands of mountains, like a mountain-controlling overlord.
At the same time, a powerful invisible gravitational force swept out and the pull of the gravitational field became stronger!

Author here (: This is my first time posting any of my works online, and I hope that you enjoy being welcomed into my world, as much as I enjoy creating it for you! This story is edited by Nesryn and ArtemisArrow, my dear friends! The cover of this book is not my property, and if you are the actual owner of the image and would like me to take it down please PM me (: I am posting this to see if it generates any interest. If it does, then I will be planning on making more regular posts for chapters. I am intending this to be one book of a series, titled The Lost Royal. I intend to post, at this point, one chapter a week unless I get onto a roll!
