Chapter 466: Capture and Escape
Translator: Transn Editor: Transn
Within the cave, boundless Spiritual Qi bubbled and frothed like boiling water.
It took a while before all the Spiritual Qi disppeared, and for everything to return to normal. Su Mo’s figure then appeared from the cave.
He let out a sigh of relief when he sensed the sudden surge in his strength.
After spending two hours of devouring and refining Spiritual Qi, he had finally attained Lv 3 Enlightenment Realm, with his physical strength reaching the equivalent of Lv 5 Enlightenment Realm with the help of the Archean Dragonesque Elephant Skill.
“With 200,000 Medium Spiritual Stones remaining, I’ll need to think of ways to earn Spiritual Stones!” Su Mo said with a silent sigh.
The price he paid to level up both his cultivation and physical strength totaled 500 million Lower Spiritual Stones and 100,000 Medium Spiritual Stones.
After Su Mo further stabilized his cultivation, he stood up, pushed away the boulder blocking the exit, and left the cave.
Su Mo quickly turned pale as he exited the cave for he saw many streams of light flashing, fast approaching the mountain.
These horned demons gave off a powerful aura, with majority of them being of Lv 6, Lv 7 Enlightenment Realm cultivation, and even one at Lv 8 Enlightenment Realm.
It could have been the aura he gave off when he broke past the bottleneck to level up earlier that attracted these horned demons’ attention, drawing them to him.
“Young one, stop resisting your capture!” the horned demon at Lv 8 Enlightenment Realm commanded coldly.
Swoosh!
Su Mo immediately turned and fled into the distance.
“Humph, there’s no way you can escape!” that horned demon scoffed, and led the pack of horned demons to the chase.
Su Mo’s figure flashed across the sky as he fled. He had exerted his body move technique Dragon Sky-roaming Steps to the maximum, moving like a dragon soaring through the skies. However, as hard as he tried, he could not get rid of the horned demons on his trail. They were of a higher cultivation, and thus could fly faster than he could.
“What should I do?” Su Mo frowned. Although his strength had increased, and he would be able to confidently face a Lv 7 Enlightenment Realm horned demon, but when faced with a Lv 8 Enlightenment Realm horned demon and so many L 7 Enlightment Realm horned demons, there was no way he would be able to defeat them.

Just as Su Mo was weighing his options, large numbers of horned demons appeared in front of him, and approached him rapidly.
“Damn it!”
Surprised, Su Mo quickly tried to change directions, but in a blink of an eye, he was surrounded by horned demons in all directions.
Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!
Hundreds of horned demons instantly surrounded Su Mo, trapping him within.
“I guess I’ll have to use the Small Void-teleport Charm again!” Su Mo gritted his teeth and stopped to take out his Small Void-teleport Charm.
Each Small Void-teleport Charm could only be used three times before it self-destructs. He had already used it once, and thus had two chances remaining.
Exerting the Vital Spirit in his hand, his figure suddenly started to fade, and disappeared from view the next instant.
When the horned demons saw that Su Mo had disappeared abruptly, they were all stunned, unable to wrap their heads around what just happened.
“Damn!” the horned demon at Lv 8 Enlightenment Realm bellowed angrily.
“This kid actually possessed something that helped him teleport. Could it be a Void-teleport Charm?”
The horned demon frowned, and after thinking for a bit, he commanded, “Continue to lock down the Demon-controlling Fort, and search the surrounding areas! Increase the search efforts, for if this kid wishes to leave, the only exit lies within the Demon-controlling Fort. He will definitely be back!”
…
In the skies overlooking a vast lake, a young man appeared with a flash of light.
It was Su Mo!
With the Small Void-teleport Charm, one would be able to teleport instantly, but could end up randomly appearing anywhere within a radius of 5,000 kilometers.
As soon as he appeared, Su Mo’s eyes quickly swept the surroundings, and let out a sigh of relief when he did not see any horned demons nearby.
He headed back to the ground, and landed on a large boulder in the lake.
“How would I be able to leave the Horned-demon Territory?” Su Mo muttered to himself, frowning. He might have many tricks up his sleeve, but he still could not think of a way.
The Horned-demon Territory was in a different dimension, and the Messaging Charm would not be able to work here. The higher-ups of Celestialspirit Sect could not be bothered with the happenings within Horned-demon Territory, leaving it to the Sect’s disciples to resolve matters on their own.

“These horned demons seem to be deliberately chasing after me? What could be the reason?” Su Mo lowered his head, deep in thought.
The appearance of the horned demon pack earlier showed that they were obviously out to capture him, but with his current cultivation, why would they set out in such large numbers?
After trying to figure things out, he still could not make sense of it all!
“I still have one more chance to use this Small Void-teleport Charm. I would no longer be able to escape if I’m surrounded again after exhausting this chance!” Su Mo sighed.
He looked at the lake in front him and decided to lie low within the lake for a period of time, only emerging when danger has passed.
He dived straight into the lake and headed toward the bottom of the lake.
This was a large and deep lake, with no end in sigh. Su Mo was enveloped within a Vital Spirit air shield, and had been diving for hundreds of meters before finally reaching the bottom.
Then, he found a small cave at the bottom of the lake, and sat cross-legged within.
He took out his storage pouch, and with a flash of purple light, a demon that resembled a snake but wasn’t one appeared.
“Lil Eight, you must have been bored to death recently!” Su Mo looked at Lil Eight with a smile. Lil Eight had been extremely restless within the spiritual beast pouch recently, and as its owner, Su Mo naturally sensed it. He decided to let Lil Eight out for some air.
Hiss! Hiss!
Lil Eight hissed at Su Mo and swam happily around Su Mo.
“Oh, you want to hunt for food?”
Su Mo had established a blood covenant with Lil Eight, with allowed him to communicate telepathically with it.
“Go! Don’t create too much commotion!” Su Mo smiled with a wave of his hand.
There were many demonic beasts within the lake, and naturally, he would not stand in the way if Lil Eight wished to hunt.
Lil Eight gave a cry and disappeared in a flash of purple light.
Then, Su Mo closed his eyes and began to cultivate quietly.
During his period of cultivation, the demonic beasts within the lake were in great danger thanks to the arrival of Lil Eight.
…
In the great stone hall within the horned demon tribe,
the group of ten horned demons were still waiting for news of Su Mo.
Clack! Clack! Clack!
Footsteps sounded outside the hall, and a burly horned demon entered.
“How was it? Did you manage to capture him?” the elderly horned demon leader asked urgently. The remaining nine other horned demons looked eagerly at the new arrival too.
“Chieftain, we lost him again!” the burly horned demon said with his head bowed.
“What?”
At his words, the elderly horned demon growled, and with a slap of his palm, turned the table beside him into dust. “A bunch of worthless beings! You couldn’t even capture a boy of Lv 2 Enlightenment Realm, what use do I have of you?” he thundered.
The elderly horned demon’s aura soared rapidly, and the burly horned demon grew fearful, explaining hurriedly, “Chieftain, please calm down. That kid had a Small Void-teleport charm which allowed him to teleport instantly. It was just too difficult to capture him!”
“What? Small Void-teleport charm? the elderly horned demon’s face grew pale, his brows knitted tightly together.
“Chieftain Jin Li, if this person truly has the Small Void-teleport charm, I’m afraid it will not be easy to capture him!” Huo Tang said.
“It would be fine if he possessed a Small Void-teleport Charm since it only can be used thrice, but if he has a Big Void-teleport Charm in his possession, there is no such restriction!” he continued.
The elderly horned demon thought for a while before he sighed, and said “All ten Chieftains will have to take on this mission personally! Even if he possesses a Void-teleport Charm, he would not be able to escape under our watch.”
The group nodded their agreement. As the ten chieftains, they would have to see this through personally in order to capture Su Mo in the quickest possible time.
The horned demon clan had split in its early years into ten tribes. The ten present at these moment were the chieftains of the ten tribes.
“Grandpa, leave this to me!”
A cold voice sounded abruptly outside the hall, and in walked a female horned demon.
This female horned demon was gorgeous, and she looked slightly different as compared to the others, with the horns on her forehead being five-colored.

Hello, this is my first attempt at creating something like a novel. English is also not my native language, so expect some grammar and punctuation issues. I am using Grammarly to help myself in this regard, but in some areas, the free app cannot correct everything. There is currently no fixed schedule, although I believe that two chapters per week should be reasonable. Depending on how much time I have, I can write more.
