Chapter 460: Uncanny Sensation
Translator: Transn Editor: Transn
Feng Shaoyu swung his saber at the horned demons’ leader.
The leader felt threatened by Feng Shaoyu’s attack and immediately gave up on killing the girl in blue.
The other horned demons stopped their attacks against the two other people when they saw how powerful this Celestialspirit Sect’s disciple was and stared at him cautiously.
“You three, come over here!” Stopping several thousand meters away, Feng Shaoyu called out to the trio who were severely injured.
They flew toward Feng Shaoyu while letting out a sigh of relief as they knew that they would be safe now.
As an ungodly genius of Towering Sky Peak, there were few in Celestialspirit Sect who didn’t know Feng Shaoyu.
“Boy, you’re very strong!” The horned demons’ leader spoke with a grim expression.
This leader had a pair of red-colored horn on his head and was wearing a black shirt made from animal skins. The exposed scale armor on his body was giving off a blackish-purple glow that amplified his mightiness.
“You shall die now!” Feng Shaoyu was unwilling to speak further. His saber radiance tore through the sky and headed for the dozen or so horned demons with an unstoppable might.
Tens of thousands of saber Qi engulfed this entire area and gave the horned demons nowhere to escape to.
“Ah! Ah! Ah!”
After a single wave of attacks, the dozen horned demons all disappeared and left nothing behind but many torn limbs.
HISS!
The trio from Dark Sky Peak gasped at seeing this.
He’s too powerful! He’d killed all the horned demons so easily!
Although Feng Shaoyu’s cultivation was a level below theirs, he was so much stronger than them!
Even Su Mo was secretly amazed. He’s powerful! Super powerful!
Feng Shaoyu’s saber momentum was too domineering for those who were weaker than him. It left them no chance to fight back.

Tian Chen and Yun Fei remained indifferent as they knew well about Feng Shaoyu’s strength. Even if these horned demons were at Lv 6 Enlightenment Realm, they couldn’t have survived his blow. The demons, being only at Lv 5, stood no chance at all.
Su Mo and the others then flew toward Feng Shaoyu.
“Junior Brothers, retrieve the horns of these demons!” Feng Shaoyu spoke to the three of them. However, since the demons were all chopped up, there were only 7 horns left.
As Su Mo grabbed a teal horn, he felt an unknown energy that was apparently beneficial for martial artists’ cultivation.
The horns of horned demons differed in colors. There were teal, grey, blue, and red ones.
For no apparent reason, Su Mo had a strange feeling while holding the horn. His Five Elements Vital Spirit even trembled slightly as if it had a connection with the horn.
“This is weird!” Su Mo felt bewildered.
The three disciples that Feng Shaoyu rescued came to their senses and bowed toward him.
“Thank you for saving us!”
“You’re welcome!”
Feng Shanyu took a good look and discovered that they were badly hurt, so he said, “It isn’t safe for you to stay here anymore. Return to Demon-controlling Fort quickly!”
They nodded in agreement and left for Demon-controlling Fort after bowing at him again.
“Senior Brothers, how are the horns beneficial for martial artists?” Su Mo asked Yun Fei and the rest as he stared at the teal horn in his hand. He wanted to find out why the horn gave him an unusual sense.
Yun Fei smiled and replied, “11th Junior Brother, the horns of horned demons are rich in Demonic Spirit Essence which can improve our cultivation! The stronger the horned demon is, the more Demonic Spirit Essence its horns contain!”

“Then why are there different colors?” Su Mo asked again.
“The horns come in five colors, gold, teal, blue, red, and grey. They correspond respectively to the colors of the five elements, gold, wood, water, fire, and earth, just like the colors of your Vital Spirit. However, these horns only contain a trace amount of the five elements!” Yun Fei continued to explain.
“Oh?” Su Mo furrowed his brows. Correspond to the colors of the five elements? Could the connection to his Five Elements Vital Spirit be due to the five elements?
But, that doesn’t make sense!
The teal horn in his hand contained virtually zero wood element!
Moreover, there were countless objects in the outer world that contained the five elements, but he had never felt such a connection before!
Su Mo shook his head and gave up trying to figure out the connection.
The four of them then left to look for more horned demons.
In the Horned-demon Territory, both horned demons and Celestialspirit Sect’s disciples were hunting each other.
A short while after Su Mo and the others left, two young men arrived.
Both of them seemed to be in their 20s. One was wearing a black shirt while the other wore a purple robe. Their cultivation was certainly powerful at Lv 7 Enlightenment Realm. The young man in black had even reached the Peak Lv 7 Enlightenment Realm.
“They just left!” The purple-robed young man spoke after seeing the torn limbs on the ground.
“Could we be chasing the wrong guy?” The young man in black asked.
“No way!” The purple-robed young man shook his head before taking out a transparent crystal ball.
The crystal ball was glowing with a five-colored radiance just like Su Mo’s Vital Spirit.
“This is Su Mo’s aura that was collected from Zheng Renjie’s corpse. As long as we follow its lead, we can catch up to them!” The purple-robed young man said with a smile.
“Hehe! We can obtain Imperial Cultivation Methods of Lower Lv 6 as long as we kill them. This is such a good deal!” A greedy smile appeared on the man in black’s face.
“However, we mustn’t be careless! It’s especially important that no other disciples discover us, or else we die without a burial place!” The purple-robed young man said in a deep voice.
“Relax! With our strength, we could finish the four of them in a few moves. No one will find out about this!” The young man in black said confidently.
The two then rapidly flew toward Su Mo and his companions.

The Deathseeker [Under Revision]
NOTE: This story has dark elements, but it's neither grimdark nor particularly edgy. It's also currently being revised. Satan's Axe...Lord of High Honor...The Immortal Giant...The Black Maelstrom...Son of Thunderfield...The Gods' Retribution. Dalric had many names. None were as fitting as his last, Dalric the Deathseeker. Born from an unwanted mating between the greatest warriors of the time, death was his only true kin. It birthed him, molded him, and now standing in the middle of a lifeless battlefield, it drenched him. The blood of thousands of soldiers soaked his skin. Two hundred thousand men approached him that day. All of them sought his life, none of them left with theirs. But they would not die in vain, they had accomplished their mission. Hidden beneath a thousand layers of their blood, was Dalric's very own. Feeling his life fade, he gazed weakly at his work. A seemingly endless array of corpses laid battered and disfigured before him. Some bore faces of horror, most had no face at all. His most trusted companion floated in front of him, blocking the view. Waves of sorrow flowed between them. “My time has finally come. I’ve begged for death and it’s finally arrived. My work is done...and so is yours. You’re free to be who you were meant to.” With his contract with the gods fulfilled, they were truly free. The centuries of torment would end. No longer would they have to walk the path of a monster. Little did Dalric know, the devil was in the details. What To Expect: A good time. In a few more words than that, a cast of believable characters in a unique world dealing with conflicts and problems a little bit more complex than punching the big evil guy in the face. Just a little though. Minimum Word Count a Week: 5000 Release Time(s): Between Friday 12pm EST and Monday 6am EST I also write A King in the Clouds

Nero Zero
Monsters plagued the lands for too long. No matter if one had fangs, beak, teeth, skin, fur, or feather, or was tall, stout, or diminutive, the people suffered. Until the Gadgeteers came with a device that could allow people to fight back. Powered by one's own magical power, feeding off of monster Essence, the Arbitrium bracer turned the tables. It also changed society. Strength of one's level cap was all that mattered. The strongest were Kings and Emperors. The weak or those too poor to afford the marvelous device, destitute. And so it has been for millennia. All that mattered was one's level cap. High, low, a fate decided the moment the strange contraption came alive. Too high and you were a threat to those interested in keeping the status quo, a weed to be nipped before it could grow and take root. Too low and you were nobody, fated to be a bit more than a simple farmer. What if someone, somewhere, came up with a zero for their level cap? Unable to use Essence, unable to level up. On all of recorded history, it never happened. Until it did. In a small village of fur-less and tail-less ape-beastkin, a boy found out he was uniquely handicapped. Nero's level cap was Zero. But he'd never let that stop him from reaching his goals. ------------------------------------------------ All stories have already been told. We merely reuse elements from them. From Joseph Campbell's Monomith to Stephen King's advice, and that encyclopedia of tropes you've visited, fiction has been dissected and reassembled countless times. One will surely find elements inspired on other works here. Just like cooking from basic ingredients, the recipe and presentation is what really matter. This is a fantasy adventure, of someone that goes from a zero to a slightly bigger zero. It will have romance but no harem. Cruelty but with hope dimly shining ahead. Lightweight where it can be, heavy where it must. Thanks for reading. Cover Credits (The cover is CC-BY-NC-SA): Steampunk Spider Bracer, by Daniel Proulx. Raul The Reality-Reshaper
Raul Medrano had believed he was a normal human his entire life until the day he turned 21. The night before his 21st birthday he had a strange dream and acquired something dubbed a "system" that swore it would help him adjust to his status as a "higher being" and a "reality reshaper". And so began Raul's life as an immensely powerful adventurer who has and uses a variety of powers to change his world, and the grander omniverse for the better. This story features an overpowered protagonist who meets and faces off against other overpowered entities, but it begins with the protagonist in a small world where he swiftly becomes one of the big dogs so conflict, in the beginning, isn't going to be especially challenging. This story also mixes elements from my own distinct setting, the multiverse in which "A Solitary God" takes place, with elements from the settings created by people over on the NSFW CYOA (Choose your own adventure) subreddit, such as TroyxPage, and specific CYOAs such as "Goddess of Mankind" and "Love Azathoth" into one distinct, wholly original story. When relevant I'll post links to the CYOAs a chapter references in the author's notes section. Image credit: I got the image for the cover from Pixabay. This story was posted originally on ScribbleHub and will continue to be posted both there and elsewhere.
