Chapter 212: Great-speed Boots
Translator: Transn Editor: Transn
Wang Hui’s words had actually left Su Mo in a daze.
There was a total of about 1,200 Inner Disciples, and yet, more than half of them were members of the Sky Alliance. How terrifying the fact was.
Half of the Inner Gate was under the control of the Disciples of the Sky Alliance.
“Senior Brother, don’t worry! I’m not one to be taken lightly. If they want to kill me, they can bring it on!” Su Mo said in a deep voice.
Su Mo was not afraid that he was outnumbered. After his Martial Spirit had advanced into the Earth Class, its power had grown to become terrifyingly powerful, and he was already much stronger than before.
Su Mo was not afraid of being mobbed.
“Ok, just be careful!”
Wang Hui gave Su Mo a few more reminders before leaving.
Su Mo sat briefly in his yard, before heading toward the Contribution Palace.
At the Contribution Palace, Su Mo contributed 100,000 Lower Spiritual Stones. These Spiritual Stones were converted to 100,000 contribution points.
He then went to the Purple Gold Hall located in the Inner Gate to exchange 50,000 contribution points for 500 Beast Souls of Class 9 Lv 2.
Beast Souls were mandatory for Su Mo to further advance his Martial Spirit. Hence, when he had the money, he would purchase them.
Su Mo then spent another 20,000 contribution points in exchange for the elixir of Upper Lv 2. The majority of the elixir was to help with cultivation, and the rest were healing elixirs.
After buying these, Su Mo decided to loiter around in the Purple Gold Hall. He was looking for useful items since he had 30,000 contribution points left.
“I offer 10,000 contribution points!”
“11,000 contribution points!”
Su Mo saw many disciples crowding around a counter, and there was even someone bidding. He decided to take a look.

This counter was selling all kinds of exotic treasures, such as necklaces and bracelets. There were many unknown crystals as well, and even equipment like armor and boots.
There was a pair of silver boots on the counter at the moment. Two Inner Disciples were fighting over them.
“Deacon, I offer 12,000 contribution points. Please sell them to me!” a round-faced youth said.
“Hmph!”
It was a burly youth who was contesting for the boots against the round-faced youth. He sneered and said, “You want to get the Great-speed Boots with merely 12,000 contribution points? I will offer 15,000 contribution points!”
The burly youth then threatened the round-faced youth and said, “Lu Yan, you should know that I’m a member of the Sky Alliance. If you dare to continue contesting for the boots, I’ll make sure that you suffer on Gale Island!”
“Wen Yuanshan, don’t push it too far!”
The round-faced youth, Lu Yan, said angrily, and his expression was changing rapidly.
Lu Yan was furious because he could be lucky enough to finally come across a treasure like this today. However, he did not expect a disciple of the Sky Alliance to show up and contest for the boots!
The pair of boots was called Great-speed Boots. They were a rare treasure that could improve one’s movement speed greatly. Lu Yan’s speed had always been his weakness, so he really wanted the boots.
“Pushing it too far? That’s exactly what I’m doing! What can you do about it?” Wen Yuanshan said arrogantly.
“You…”
Lu Yan was enraged, and his expression changed. However, he sighed and walked away angrily in the end.
Lu Yan had softened his stance. There was nothing else he could do against the mighty Sky Alliance. It would not be worth it to lose his life over a pair of boots.
When he saw Lu Yan leaving, Wen Yuanshan sneered, and his face was beaming with arrogance.

He then looked at the Deacon behind the counter and said, “Deacon, this pair of boots is mine now. Here’s the contribution points.”
Wen Yuanshan was about to pay for the boots.
The surrounding disciples had mixed feelings. As there were many of them interested in the boots as well. However, no one dared to compete with Wen Yuanshan, the Sky Alliance Disciple.
“Hold on, I’m interested in the boots as well!”
A voice was suddenly heard.
The crowd looked toward the source of the voice. A handsome youth was walking toward the counter through the crowd.
The youth was none other than Su Mo. He was actually interested in the Great-speed Boots, which were extraordinary from their name.
What’s more, he was also displeased with Wen Yuanshan.
Disciples of the Sky Alliance were truly people of the same breed. All of them were cocky and supercilious. They thought that they could do anything in the name of the Sky Alliance!
Wen Yuanshan stared at Su Mo fiercely and said with a cold voice, “Are you going to contest against me as well?”
Su Mo disregarded Wen Yuanshan and asked the Deacon, “What’s the effect of the Great-speed Boots?”
The Deacon was a middle-aged lady. Upon hearing Su Mo’s words, she smiled and explained. “The Great-speed Boots were contributed by a Core Disciple. It’s at Upper Lv 2. After the appraisal, we discovered that the boots were made from the wings of the Great-speed Silvery Bat, a Lv 3 Demonic Beast. The boots could have been crafted into a treasure of Lower Lv 3. However, an unknown failure resulted in its current grade. Despite so, its material was precious after all. Hence, the boots are almost equivalent to a pair of normal Lower Lv 3 boots.”
“If a martial artist in the Spiritual Martial Realm wears the Great-speed Boots, it could double his speed!”
The lady described the effect of the Great-speed Boots in detail to Su Mo.
Actually, she was hoping that Su Mo would contest for the boots as well. In that case, the boots would be able to sell for a higher price.
Upon hearing the lady, Su Mo’s eyes brightened. This was indeed a rare treasure.
His speed was already the fastest amongst his level. With the boots, his speed would reach an unsurpassable level!
“Deacon, I offer 20,000 contribution points. I’m determined to get them!” Su Mo said with a smile.
“What?”
The crowd was astonished. They did not expect Su Mo to actually contest against Wen Yuanshan.
“Is this guy not aware of the might of the Sky Alliance? Is he tired of living?”
Many of them shook their heads and felt sorry for Su Mo.
The people here were all Inner Disciples. There was virtually no one who knew Su Mo.
“Kid, don’t you know that the Great-speed Boots are already mine?”
Wen Yuanshan said with his eyes squinted. A chill flashed in his eyes.
Wen Yuanshan had decided to kill Su Mo. As a disciple of the Sky Alliance, it had been a long time since someone out of the Sky Alliance gave him trouble.
Although his cultivation was at Lv 8 Spiritual Martial Realm, many Inner Disciples at Lv 9 Spiritual Martial Realm were polite toward him.
Yet, this youth dared to disregard him and snatch his treasure away.
That’s right! In Wen Yuanshan’s mind, the Great-speed Boots were already his belongings!
How could he calm down!
“If you can offer a price higher than mine, you can have them!” Su Mo smirked and said.
Wen Yuanshan sneered and continued bidding, “I offer 23,000…”
Before Wen Yuanshan could finish his words, Su Mo interrupted him and said, “25,000 contribution points!”
“You…”
Wen Yuanshan was enraged. 23,000 contribution points was everything he had. There was no way he could outbid Su Mo!

When Plush comes to Shove
An: So the last synopsis wasn’t really all that good, it was just some mumbo jumbo with no actual point to it so I decided to make a new one that’s a bit more accurate. Leo Lush, just your average everyday (slightly chubby) schmuck, or at least he would be if he didn’t carry around a stuffed toy everywhere he went.I mean, he was a man who could read the atmosphere a bit so put it away in his bag whenever having a stuffed toy out would be rude but other than that he brought it with him all the time, it was a memento from his girlfriend who had died three years ago and keeping it close made him feel better. That’s also why his classmates gave him the nickname “Plush”, though that's neither here nor there. One day at the train station he’d lost his dearest stuffed toy, one of his classmates found it and lobbed it towards him, something that they’d already done many times before, but this time something went wrong and Leo found himself falling in front of the train due to the force of the throw. Now follow Leo as the spirit that developed in his stuffed toy and killed him forces his ghost into another world to possess a different stuffed toy. He doesn’t know much about the world or why he’s there but what he does know is that according to a magic book his girlfriend was also sent to this very world when she died in a plane accident three years ago. An: For those who want to know a bit more about what kind of story this will be: I want it to be a chill feel-good story and stay as far away from those despair-fest stories as possible (No offense to people who enjoy them, I’m just not one of you)Let me make something clear; I’m not writing this story with hope of it becoming really top tier among RRL (Though it did get above rank 500 once which I’m still very proud of even though it’s gone back down to ~850 at the time of writing this) I just want to write a story that I would enjoy reading, that’s why I’ll be mostly skipping over a lot of the parts that I skip when I read other stories, such as stats, the exact value of money and other such precise statistics that no one(as far as I’m aware) really cares about all that much. Just feels like a lot of effort for something superfluous. There’s a single exception and that’s one of the battles, it’s not a despair-fest or anything but it’s got a different feel than the rest of the story due to me being in a funky mood while I was writing it.
