Chapter 106: Disciple of the Ulti-mystery Sect
Translator: Transn Editor: Transn
On the city wall, the few hundred disciples of the sect turned pale upon seeing the ferocious looking troop.
Many of the disciples were either pampered or had only taken on simple missions from the sects.
They had never seen such a spectacular scene.
Many were fearful at this juncture.
Su Mo looked at the large army before him. Guanwu City had sent more than 50,000 people to this battle.
However, there were only slightly more than 10,000 elites from the Black Scale Army. The rest were ordinary troops.
Most of the troops of Guanwu City had gone to the battlefield, leaving only a small troop behind to guard the city gate tower.
The governor of Guanwu City, Fang Xiao, stood at the city wall as well.
“All of you shall stay put for the time being. I’ll inform you when you’re needed.” Fang Xiao said, glancing at the crowd.
Su Mo nodded his head slightly. He had already assumed it would be like this.
The sects had their plans when they gathered the disciples of the four sects to this mission.
However, they would not allow them to charge forward as ordinary soldiers would.
Otherwise, a lot of disciples would lose their lives.
Everyone waited patiently for about an hour.
The earth shook and a thunderous noise was heard. The noise grew louder and louder.
A glaring red light appeared before the crowd.
At the other end, a wide spread of glaring red light glittered, capturing all their attention.
It was the armor and the war horses.
Red armor.
Red war horses.
With the appearance of the red light, Su Mo saw a large powerful army whizzing towards them, like red lightning.
Boom!
The earth shook violently and the war horses neighed.
The field was filled with a vast number of red corps. Tension was in the air. It was the army of Ironforest Country.

Ironforest Country’s troops were all in red armor. Their armor was engraved with the faces of ferocious wolves.
In the midst of the army was a huge flag. Likewise, the flag had the image of a monstrous red wolf on it.
The Wild Wolf Army!
The Wild Wolf Army was the invincible troop of Ironforest Country. Its strength was on par with the Black Scale Army.
The cultivation of an ordinary soldier in the Wild Wolf Army was at least at the Lv 9 Qi Cultivation Realm. Most of these soldiers were experts in the Spiritual Martial Realm.
The army of Ironforest Country was extremely large, covering the whole field.
The Wild Wolf Army was larger than the Black Scale Army. There were about 20,000 of them. With the rest of the ordinary soldiers, they numbered around 40,000 to 50,000.
Ironforest Country’s troops numbered around 70,000, exceeding the number of Skymoon Country’s troops.
“Our archenemy is the Wild Wolf Army. As long as we can defeat this Army, Ironforest Country will be crushed!”
The governor of Guanwu City, Fang Xiao, stood at the city wall, watching the red army with a grave look.
The army of Ironforest Country stationed itself a few kilometers away from the Skymoon troop outside the city.
With the arrival of the army of Ironforest Country, the whole battlefield was filled with great tension.
The two troops exuded a strong fight desire and cruel killing intention.
The wind and clouds were turbulent.
“Hahaha…!”
A guffaw was heard from the army of Ironforest Country.
A middle-aged General came forth on his horse. He was in silver armor and looked extremely dark.
“Yuan Zhan, the army of Ironforest Country shall tear down Guanwu City and wipe out Skymoon Country.”
The middle-aged General looked in the opposite direction, with his gaze fixed on Yuan Zhan.
Yuan Zhan was holding a large saber which was more than two meters long. Upon hearing this, he said coldly, “Mo Tie, stop boasting, the army of Skymoon Country is not to be trifled with!”

“Come on, kiddos of Ironforest Country! Your grandpapa Yuan’s big saber is waiting impatiently for you!” Yuan Zhan shouted.
Mo Tie just smiled and shook his head. He said, “Yuan Zhan, be patient. How about having a game?”
“A game?”
Yuan Zhan was stunned. He wondered what Mo Tie was up to. He frowned and asked, “What is it?”
Mo Tie sneered and immediately signaled to the people behind him.
Immediately, a figure in black flew out from the army of Ironforest Country and stood between the two troops.
It was a youth, 15 to 16 years old, carrying a bright long saber on his back. He looked haughty and had sharp eyes.
He gazed calmly at the large army of Skymoon Country, holding his fists together. He said, “I’ve heard that the Outer Disciples of the four sects from Skymoon Country are in Guanwu City. I’m Liang Chuan from the Ulti-mystery Sect and I would like to spar with you.”
He smiled, showing animosity in his eyes.
“I’m at the Lv 1 Spiritual Martial Realm. Any disciple of the same level from the four sects or the Skymoon troop is welcome to spar with me!”
Although he was humble in his speech, he looked arrogant.
In fact, he seemed to look down on martial artists of the same level from Skymoon Country.
Su Mo, who was standing at the city wall, was surprised upon hearing these words.
“A disciple from the Ulti-mystery Sect was challenging the disciples of the four sects on a one-to-one basis?”
Su Mo wondered what they were up to.
If the disciple of the Ulti-mystery Sect won, would that mean victory for the Ironforest troop?
Upon hearing this, Yuan Zhan raised his brows and replied coldly, “What a joke! Mo Tie, we’re having a war now. We’re not in a fighting ring!”
Mo Tie laughed and said, “If General Yuan’s afraid, I’ve nothing to say. But, that’s bringing shame to the four sects of Skymoon Country!”
Having said this, the disciple from Ulti-mystery Sect, Liang Chuan, shook his head nonchalantly and said, “I thought the four sects of Skymoon Country were as powerful as our Ulti-mystery Sect. Never have I thought that all are cowards!”
Liang Chuan gave a look of disdain.
“You don’t even have the guts to take me on, a martial artist at the Lv 1 Spiritual Martial Realm. You’re just a useless country, a bunch of useless sects and a trash of disciples. You’re not fit to be on par with our Ulti-mystery Sect. What a disgrace!”
Liang Chuan’s words infuriated all the people from Skymoon Country.
Especially the faces of the four sects turned red with anger.
The four sects were the supreme power of Skymoon Country.
As a disciple of the four sects, everyone was a talent, everyone felt superior.
However, someone had the audacity to call them a useless country! A bunch of useless sects! A trash of disciples!
This was infuriating!
Yuan Zhan looked gloomy. He was not afraid. He was quite aware of the strength of the disciples of the four sects.
He was not sure what the other party was up to and that deterred him from accepting the challenge.
He knew that Liang Chuan was doing it on purpose, to force them to send a representative out.
Since that was what they wanted, Yuan Zhan might as well play along with them!
“Ha! Let’s see what you’re up to!”
Yuan Zhan thought to himself and was about to speak.
At this instant, he heard a loud voice coming out from the city wall behind him.
“Audacious disciple of the Ulti-mystery Sect, let me see how good you are!”
Finally, a disciple from the four sects was not able to take the insult.
A figure in dark blue flew down from the city wall and whizzed towards the battlefield.

Hope
There were 2 options: Fight the same war for countless more aeons. Shatter the Betrayer's undead legions time and time again until all was ground to dust. Because the endless legions truly never end. A hair's breath of ground in a century is enough if the war takes all of eternity. Or to choose Hope. To cast away his memories, his power, his very life. To wager everything on a chance to prevent their eventual end or to perish trying. Because if he were to return it would be with the power necessary to finally slay what remains of the Betrayer. Of the last Aspect. Only then would all things be right. And so, he chose the latter. Expect:Weak to strong quick-ish.Powerful MC reincarnates, gradually starts regaining memories.MC that is an actual character not a plot device. My original unique magic system discovered along with the MC.My original setting with mythos that have both been living rent free in my head for actual years.Opening arc will be less fast than the following story. Good writing (I think) and grammar. Upload schedulle: 2 chapters a week of 3-4k words each. I want to upscale to 3 in the future. Meant to be read in RR dark mode. For those coming here from my other stories, this is indeed a reimagining of my older story, CotM. I say reimagining because I have changed so much it cannot be called just a rewrite. Among the major changes, MC is fundamentally different in personality and background, I have actually planned the story out and changed it almost completely and I have adjusted my mythos so it no longer has as many holes as swiss cheese.
