Rebirth: King To Superstar Chapter 3

He slowly stood up and made his way towards the T.V screen before touching it. He immediately pulled it back due to the static while looking at it warily. A couple of seconds passed by before he reached out his hand once again and this time it was fine.
"Strange, So this T.V uses electricity? Like the rare thunder element back in the kingdom. But this is a very minor scale usage to run this device compared to those destructive spells." Murmuring to himself.
"This object is really awesome. I wish I can take this back to the kingdom. But, sigh I'm already dead. I wonder how little princess is keeping up." Getting nostalgic at the end.
Removing the hand from the T.V after a few more minutes of watching the news program running, he finally looked around to get a good look at the place he was in. Noticing the T.V he forgot everything else around him, only now did he get a clear view of everything.
He first noticed the small sofa enough for two people to sit comfortably right opposite to him. He continued to look around and saw many new gadgets he never saw as he slowly recollected all of their names and uses from Kim Joon-won's memories.
The house was very simple, one bedroom, one small living room with an equally small kitchen. The bedroom was just enough for a single bed and a wardrobe. The door led the people right into the living room and the kitchen was to the immediate right while the room was at the right top corner of the living room.
"From a royal palace spanning vastly across the land to a small place which is only a few feet around the whole house. I used to use horses to move around the royal garden. But now, sigh." Sighing to himself after completely analyzing the layout of the house.

"But this isn't bad either, my own small adobe without anyone disturbing me too much. I guess every place has its own plus points too. Just need to find and accept them wholeheartedly." Cheering himself as he stood in the living room.
He walked towards the small balcony at the end of the living room before opening the door. As he did, he suddenly coughed and closed the door. Looking outside there wasn't anything to make him cough but Zen Su thought otherwise.
"Oh my god. The air is so impure. It is comparing a beautiful flower to cow dung. I guess my old world is way better in at least one aspect compared to this world. Sigh, I need to get used to this." Calming himself for a second he couldn't help but lament about the amount of impurities he felt due to the sudden change in environment.
He opened the door once again and slowly took a few breaths to get used to the environment. Opening his eyes he looked out and saw the various buildings all around on the streets. He couldn't help but marvel at everything he saw as Kim Joon-won memories slowly filled in the doubts he got seeing them.
He looked down and saw numerous people walking by. But soon his eyes caught a car on the street and they instantly sparkled.
"This car is way better compared to the horses we use back at home. They are more efficient but seems like it has a huge disadvantage to it." Remembering that one of the main reasons for the impurities come from the vehicles he couldn't help but sigh once again, showing his old mentality in full display.
"Seems like my new world has so many things I'm yet to personally experience. This is indeed so much interesting compared to sitting on that large throne only to speak a few words when necessary and listen to endless praises. The world has so much yet to reveal and humans can discover so much more. A world without magic hope you don't disappoint me." With a smile on his face as he continued to observe the outside world for a few more minutes.

He went back inside after having his fill of the new world outside. Closing the door, Zen Su went right into the washroom and stood before the mirror to finally look at his new face.
"Hahaha, seems like I don't get the only thing I was proud of in my old life, my looks. I look so plain compared to my old self." He couldn't help but wryly laugh as he lamented his bad look.
Compared to the silky golden hair, good looks and chiselled body, his current look or rather Kim Joon-won's looks were very plain. Rather rough black hair with an above-average face. The only aspect which stood out was the eyes. The eyes were very mesmerizing enough to capture people's attention distracting it from his average face.
"What, this is considered above average in this world. This world has such low standards. A few of my royal guards look better than this. This body is also too skinny. Did this kid even eat three times a day before he died? Now that I took over this body things need to change. Even though I can't do anything about this face, the hair needs to be treated better, the body needs to gain weight." He felt shocked as he remembered a few more of Kim Joon-won's memories about his looks. He immediately started to decide the next steps he needed to take to get better.
He looked straight into his reflection and said to himself, "From this moment on Zen Su is dead. I am Kim Joon-won. Not a king but rather a student who studies how to act. How convenient is it that I came into a student who also wants to become an actor? I should take good care of this opportunity given to me." Making it resolute. He got a new life and wanted to make the best out of it. He needed to stop comparing this world to his old one and live normally in the present.

Galactic Fist of Legend
In the year 2018 a bright star appeared near Earth. Humanity as a whole was briefly introduced to a race of beings far beyond their understanding. During that brief interaction a proclamation was made, Defeat the Grand Emissary or become the eternal slaves of those who had arrived at Earth. The only chance for victory was for people all across the globe to make a choice. When prompted to become a champion and a play a bizarre game of life or death they could choose yes or no. Those who chose no, went about their lives afterward. All memory of the event was lost despite the fact that their very existence as a free species hung by a single thread. Will those who said yes manage to survive the horror of the game and become strong enough to defeat the Grand Emissary. Can one of them become... The Galactic Fist of Legend. Also, it's a comedy. Pretty obvious, right? Notes: This story will contain graphic violence, stupid humor, nudity, sexiness, and maybe I'll give the main character a pet cat or something. I don't know yet. Still, you need to be pretty mature to properly take care of a pet. Notes2: This story is my answer to stories such as Gantz, Terror Infinity, Battle Royale, Btoom!, and strangely enough... Captain N: The Video Game Master. It is an original story, but it does seek to give a similar vibe to some of those tales of legend. However, it is not meant to be an overly serious tale as I have decided that the new stories that I release in the coming year will be mostly comedies.

Leftover Apocalypse
[Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] This is a story about the newly-adult Calliope Smith having a terrible day that ends in her getting mysteriously teleported from Phoenix, Arizona to a fantasy world where her life is in constant danger. She considers this an upgrade. Someone evil is looking for her, and she doesn't know why. Someone who seems to know a lot about her has promised they'll help her, but she doesn't know who they are. All that matters to Callie is that magic is real and one way or another she's going to learn it. The end of the world is coming up, sure, but Callie won't need to worry about that. In fact, by the time she even finds out about it one of the doomsday devices will already be destroyed, and the authorities will be well on the way to dealing with the other one. It's fine. Everything will be smooth sailing. Almost certainly. Probably. Chapters are usually about 2500-3500 words, and the goal is to post 2-3 per week but I sometimes get busy or have some writers block. It's your standard portal fantasy / Isekai premise, but unlike some the main character's time on Earth and how she got pulled into another world will (eventually) be explored. Some slight GameLit-feeling stuff later, no menus or level-ups but there's something suspiciously like a skill tree when the magic system gets going. No number crunching, and while the main character will get to do some silly stuff she won't be a god like in some fics (and will in fact spend a lot of time being badly outclassed by her enemies). Some reader interaction, ranging from adding to the worldbuilding to occasionally making big important decisions about skill progression. Please note that the main character is flawed and impulsive, and will make some stupid decisions. That's part of the story, but I get that it's not for everyone. Trigger Warnings: Foster care system references, crappy parenting. Some mental health adjacent stuff, specifically the main character has some issues where she experiences varying levels of empathy and emotional vulnerability depending on the day (it's complicated and not meant to portray any real-world conditions). Occasional violence including mention of death and grievous bodily harm, but no detailed descriptions of gore.
