Yan Jinyi secretly heaved a sigh of relief and couldn't help but look at Shen Yan again.

She sat beside Huo Chengyu but they didn't interact much with each other. In fact, she didn't even make eye contact with him. 

They didn't seem like a married couple but strangers instead. 

In fact, it was quite awkward. 

"Shen Yan, do you know any eligible hunks?"

Shen Yan asked in bewilderment, "I do, do you want me to introduce some of my friends to you?"

"Shen Yan, I think you should divorce Chengyu since you guys don't have feelings for each other anyway. Why don't you just find a man that you like after the divorce?" 

As soon as she said that, everyone fell silent and gazed at her. 

Shen Yan looked at Huo Chengyu awkwardly but he still didn't react much and simply ate his porridge. 

Seeing this, she looked down and smiled. If she wasn't the heiress of the Shen family, he would have definitely agreed to the divorce when she brought it up the other day. 

Yan Jinyi continued chewing on her piece of steak, not feeling awkward at all as she was completely oblivious. After swallowing the bite of steak, she continued, "Chengyu, Shen Yan is very outstanding. Since you don't like her, stop holding her behind. Just set her free and let her marry someone else tomorrow." 

Huo Chengyu smiled warmly with a righteous expression. He didn't show a single trace of anger at all. "She's the only one who's suitable to my wife." 

'Am I?' Shen Yan's hand trembled when she held the spoon. 

'This scumbag.' 

She suddenly felt that Huo Zihang was quite nice because at least, he was open about being a jerk and everyone knows that she was a womanizer. 

Huo Chengyu was different. 

 He was a complete hypocrite, a wolf in sheep clothing. 

"Just eat your meal. You plan to invest in a new movie, right?" Huo Xishen helped her cut her steak up and pushed it towards her calmly. 

Yan Jinyi glanced at him and said, "The New Year holiday isn't over yet." 

"Darling, maybe you can accompany me to the office to talk a look." 

'To the office? Huo Group?' Yan Jinyi imagined the classic scene in novels where the female protagonist appears in the male protagonist's office. 

They would either be stopped by haughty front-desk receptionists who pretend to be authoritative, or get surrounded by a bunch of people who would stare at her like she was an animal in the zoo. 

"Forget it, I'm not interested."

Huo Qingyuan suddenly said excitedly, "Second Sister-in-law, there will be a special painting exhibition that's specially meant for the Lunar New Year today. The pieces that will be showcased at the exhibition are all the works of famous painters from Central Europe in the last century. Do you want to go take a look?"

'Painting exhibition...'

Yan Jinyi frowned.

"Jinyi, I'll go with you guys," Shen Yan said softly. 

Yan Jinyi immediately nodded and said, "Sure, I'm going then." 

When the three of them arrived at the exhibition hall, the exhibition had just started.

Yan Jinyi hadn't done much research on art but as a fashion designer, Shen Yan had a lot of knowledge about paintings. 

The works on display at the exhibition this time were indeed very impressive. Hence, many wives of rich men and heiresses of wealthy families would come here to show off their statuses. 

The two-hundred-square-feet site had an artistic decor and the guests present were all gorgeously dressed, some even donning evening gowns.

"They're acting like this is the emperor's birthday banquet. It's just a painting exhibition, must they dress up so exaggeratedly?" Yan Jinyi asked as she glanced at a woman who was passing by.

It was wintertime and yet, she was wearing a backless dress. Although the backless dress was beautiful, it didn't seem appropriate for the weather. 

"Jinyi, such occasions are often the most suitable for making friends as interests are involved," Shen Yan explained softly. 

Yan Jinyi nodded. "Understood." 

Since ancient times, people would often resort to lots of unscrupulous means and stop at nothing to befriend those who would be of help to themselves. 

"Sister-in-law, accompany me to the washroom,"Huo Qingyuan said, pointing upstairs. "Second Sister-in-law, do you want to come along?"
