They really managed to divert Yan Jinyi's attention.

The three brothers of the Huo family seemed to have gone to deal with the fight for the mineral sources. Thus, Yan Jinyi was bored out of her wits at home.

"The way you people celebrate the Lunar New Year is so boring. The shops are all closed, these people are not seizing the great opportunity to make money at all."

Yan Jinyi was laying sluggishly on the sofa, clad in a teddy bear pajamas with one leg crossed over the other. She didn't care about her image at all but she somehow didn't seem loathsome.

Huo Qingyuan always felt that it was because Yan Jinyi was a great beauty.

"Second Sister-in-law, let's play the game again, we have nothing else to do anyway."

Yan Jinyi glanced at her with great disgust and mocked, "Your skills are terrible and you're slower than a tractor."

Huo Qingyuan felt hurt. 'But, Second Sister-in-law, your skills aren't much better!

Yan Jinyi was a classic aggressive but lousy gaming newbie. She would follow the crowd and run but her avatar would end up getting killed every single time.

Unfortunately, Huo Qingyuan dared not speak out in anger.

"Where's Shen Yan?"

Overwhelmed with boredom, Yan Jinyi felt that Shen Yan was the one one who could relieve her loneliness.

Yan Jinyi got up and prepared to go upstairs but Huo Qingyuan hurriedly interjected. "Shen Yan has returned to her maiden home. No one is at home for the Lunar New Year this year so she decided to go home and celebrate with her family."

'Doesn't that mean that I'm left alone with Huo Qingyuan in this massive manor of the Huo Family?'

Sensing the strong disdain Yan Jinyi felt towards her, Huo Qingyuan touched her nose aggrievedly. At this juncture, the telephone handset happened to ring.

Huo Qingyuan hurriedly answered the call but she suddenly looked at Yan Jinyi with a bizarre expression. "Second Sister-in-law, it's a call for you." She paused and then continued, "It's from your uncle."

'Uncle?'

Yan Jinyi quickly thought about it and finally remembered that she indeed had an uncle but he didn't seem to be on good terms with Yan Jinyi's late mother.

The original Yan Jinyi didn't have a close-knit family.

"What are you looking for me for?" Yan Jinyi questioned sternly.

"Your grandmother is hospitalized due to a recurring illness and needs a large amount of money for her medical expenses. They don't have enough money now so they want you to go and pay for it."

'Huh? Asking me for money?'

She strode over and snatched the handset away from Huo Qingyuan.

Huo Qingyuan stayed beside her obediently. After a brief conversation, Yan Jinyi hung up with a sinister smile.

"Huo Qingyuan, get your popcorn ready, we're going to watch a show."

"Watch a show?"

"It's a huge family drama and I'm the leading actress while you're the supporting actress. Are you excited?"

"…"

When the two of them arrived at the hospital, they immediately saw Chen Yulian who was standing outside the ward.

Liu Yaxi was seated on a chair sluggishly while chewing on a piece of gum. There was a stylishly dressed man beside her who was hanging his head low and playing with his cell phone.

Yan Jinyi reckoned that he should be her cousin who was said to be going abroad to make a name for himself.

As soon as she saw Yan Jinyi, Chen Yulian leaped towards her while wailing. "Jinyi, you're finally here. Your grandmother can't hang in there for much longer. The doctor refuses to perform the surgery before we pay the bills, please save your grandmother!"

Since it was the Lunar New Year, there were very few nurses on duty, which made the corridors seem rather empty. Chen Yulian's crying had also become rather abrupt and loud.

Yan Jinyi turned to the side and dodged Chen Yulian's hug. "Aren't you pretty rich?"

Chen Yulian was stunned and she suddenly widened her beady eyes while wiping the corners of her eyes with the back of her fat hand. "How can I possibly be rich? The living expenses of your cousins are extremely high now, and I have to pay for their tuition fees! Jinyi, you've always been the most filial. Now that your parents are no longer around, shouldn't you be more filial to your grandmother?"
