Yan Jinyi had once secretly planned to take those two dogs away and sell them for money but they seemed to have sensed her intentions as they would glower at her ferociously whenever they saw her.

Yan Jinyi was a little afraid of dogs because she had once been chased around a patty field by a large dog belonging to a farmer, back in the mountains when she was a kid. Hence, she had developed a phobia since then.

As soon as she inched closer, the two German shepherds began seething and baring their teeth at her.

Yan Jinyi resolutely took a few steps back again, "Mr. Huo, it's such a waste to spend a wonderful day like this walking the dogs."

"It's quite boring without you at home, Darling."

Yan Jinyi raised her brows. 'Has Doggy Huo learned how to flirt?'

"Now that I'm back, how about we continue with your desensitization therapy?"

Huo Xishen glanced at her and said, "No hurry, let's walk the dogs first."

"What's so great about dogs?" Yan Jinyi pointed to the two German Shepherds and continued, "Mr. Huo, don't you think these two dogs are too thin? They don't match the domineering aura of the Huo family."

"Their weight is up to standard, no need for training."

'Doggy Huo, you're bent on going against me, huh?'

"It's my birthday today. Since I'm your wife, shouldn't you give in to me, Mr. Huo?"

Huo Xishen shot her a somewhat puzzled look but nevertheless instructed the servants to take the dogs away.

"Darling, are you afraid of dogs?"

Refusing to admit, Yan Jinyi denied, "What a joke, do I seem like the type to be scared of dogs? Mr. Huo, where is my gift?"

Huo Xishen stared at her fair wrists and pursed his thin lips.

Yan Jinyi sulked the entire time during dinner while exuding a dangerous aura. Even Huo Xian didn't dare to talk to her.

They strolled along the river and as they walked, Yan Jinyi suddenly remembered that her fans had planned to put up a firework show for her tonight.

Yan Jinyi suddenly stopped and turned her head to look at Huo Xishen who was right beside her. "Mr. Huo, I think you can't even compare to my fans."

Huo Xishen looked at her.

Yan Jinyi said smugly, "My fans are going to give me a great present later. Mr. Huo, keep your eyes wide open and take a good look."

At 9:00 p.m. the resplendent firework show began.

Yan Jinyi liked all colors of the rainbow so the fireworks were all colorful and extremely gorgeous.

"Mr. Huo, look at this," Yan Jinyi gestured. "This is the fireworks show that my fans have put up for me. Beautiful, isn't it?"

Huo Xishen nodded along. "Yeah, they're quite pretty."

"It's my first time watching fireworks in real life."

With her head raised, Yan Jinyi gazed at the fireworks in the sky with glistening eyes.

There were no such things as fireworks in her previous life and since she transmigrated to this era, she had at most only seen fireworks on TV.
