As he spoke, Huo Zihang began to introduce his friend to Yan Jinyi too. "Sister Jinyi, he's my childhood friend, Liang Fanfan."

Liang Fanfan leaned close to Huo Zihang and whispered, "Zihang, she seems to be about the same age as us, why do we have to be subservient?"

Huo Zihang put his finger on his mouth and hushed him while whispering, "Do what I tell you to if you don't want to die."

With a disdainful gaze, Liang Fanfan humphed and looked askance at Yan Jinyi with his chin raised. "Hey, how old are you?"

Huo Zihang hurriedly nudged him. "I said, call her Sister Jinyi. Are you courting death?"

Yan Jinyi's attention was all on the MV that was being played on the television and she answered perfunctorily, "23 years old."

Her birthday was indeed round the corner.

Liang Fanfan snorted in disdain. "Zihang and I are already 27 years old, you should be talking to us like you're our senior instead."

Yan Jinyi immediately shifted her gaze onto Liang Fanfan. "Are you sleepwalking?"

"What do you mean by that?" Liang Fanfan suddenly stood up.

Fearing that Yan Jinyi would punch Liang Fanfan, Huo Zihang hurriedly tugged onto him and sat down again. "Fanfan, just give in to her."

"This woman is your girlfriend, right?"

Liang Fanfan questioned, pointing at Yan Jinyi.

Huo Zihang leaped up immediately and denied, "You must be joking. I don't want to die yet, don't spout nonsense!"

'Liang Fanfan is quite a busybody.'

Yan Jinyi began to dislike him. 'What kind of friends does Huo Zihang have? Why does he have such an oddball for a friend?'

"Zihang, I originally asked you out alone, but you suddenly brought a woman with you and ignored me for her sake. Who matters to you more?"

Yan Jinyi grabbed a handful of nuts and chewed on them while watching the dramatic scene take place before her.
