Yan Jinyi sipped on some water and then glanced at Liu Ran. 

Seeing that Yan Jinyi was ignoring her, Liu Ran's gaze turned sullen and she tried her best to maintain a smile. "Jinyi, we had some conflicts previously but that's in the past and we're now working on the same project so let's get along well with each other. I joined this industry before you did so I might be more experienced. If there's anything you're unsure of, you may ask me about it." 

Seeing how gentle Liu Ran was when greeting Yan Jinyi, all the crew members secretly praised her for having a great personality. 

Finally, Yan Jinyi raised her head and made eye contact with Liu Ran. Tilting her head a little, she asked with utmost sincerity, "Who are you?" 

Liu Ran's smile stiffened. 

'Did Yan Jinyi just ask who I am? She must be kidding, how can she not know who I am?' 

For the sake of maintaining the facade and image that she had built for herself, Liu Ran suppressed her anger with all her might and said, "I'm Liu Ran, the female lead of Islander. We've met before and we even stayed in the same hotel previously." 

After pretending to be trying hard to recall something for a long time, Yan Jinyi finally came to a sudden realization. "Oh! I remember now, it's Islander, the worst period film in history, right?" 

At this point , Yan Jinyi looked at Liu Ran with a frown. "You've already been in this industry for years, why are you still so bad at picking the productions to star in? Islander had such a lousy storyline, but you chose to take on the job. Tsk, I heard that the actor and actress playing the leading roles got criticized terribly and the director even got arrested for committing a crime." 

'Weren't you part of the reason that Lin Chenggong got arrested?' Liu Ran secretly thought to herself while gritting her teeth in exasperation. 

'How can this little b*tch have the cheek to pretend to be innocent?' 

"By the way, what did you say your name was?" Yan Jinyi smacked her head and continued, "I'm sorry that I don't have a good memory. I tend to forget the names of others unless they're beautiful or handsome."

Liu Ran gritted her teeth and was about to retort when an actress behind her suddenly dashed over and chastised, "Hah, keep pretending. Liu Ran is the hottest actress in the nation now and everyone knows who she is. What are you pretending for? You're just jealous that Liu Ran is more popular than you, aren't you?"

That actress seemed to be only about 20 years old. She was quite pretty but it was a shame that she had a foul mouth. 

Resting her chin in one hand, Yan Jinyi asked seriously, "Is it true that everyone in the nation knows who she is?" 

Upon sight of Yan Jinyi's innocent expression, the actress humphed in disdain. "Of course, she was the best actress award winner last year!" 

'She's being so smug, as if she's the one who won the award instead.' 

Yan Jinyi rolled her eyes and stopped smiling immediately. "So what? What does that have to do with me? If you don't want to get beaten up, get lost. Don't you know I'm hot-tempered?" 

She leaned against the back of the chair, picked a grape and tossed it into her mouth. Although she was wearing a beautiful and luxurious palace costume, she was seated nonchalantly like a bandit. 

"You..." 

"Enough, Xiaoshan. Maybe Jinyi really doesn't pay attention to the news about the entertainment industry," Liu Ran interjected. 

Although she seemed to be speaking up for Yan Jinyi, she was actually... 

Smiling like a rogue, Yan Jinyi said, "I only have 2G data connection at home. Why don't you get me a 100G broadband service?" 

"Don't think you're such a big deal because you can fight. Fighting is not the only skill you need to survive in this industry." 

"That's at least better than being poor at acting and lacking martial arts skills too."
