"Um, is this to your liking?" Maria asked the landlady as she was finally finished putting makeup on her face.

"My my, this sure brings back memories. I look like what I used to be in my youth and prime. Young lady, you are very gifted at this." The landlady complimented Maria as she looked in the mirror admiring her own face.

"Haha… I don't deserve such praise… I never really took any lessons so, I am still a novice when it comes to these types of things." Maria said as she scratched her cheeks embarrassingly.

"You don't need to be humble with yourself young lady. Come here you two, I will show you your rooms for tonight. Tomorrow morning you can choose which dorm room the three of you want." The landlady said as she walked out of the dressing room.

"Alright," Maria said as she followed the landlady. Elise silently followed behind both of them as she kept a close eye on the landlady as she knew the landlady was up to something. It was just, she didn't know what the landlady was up to.

After walking for five minutes after the three of them went down several hallways and twists and turns also walking upstairs, did they finally reach a room.

"Sorry it took a while, all the dorms down there are currently in the processed of being clean as you know the dormitory has just opened up today. Usually, people come in the day after once they have everything packed up and ready to go." The landlady explained to them as she handed them the key for the room they were about to stay at.

"Anyway, if you have any problems, or have any questions. Just come ask me, I will be residing on the first floor. There's only one room on the first floor, and that's where I will be. If the door is locked, that means I am asleep and do not disturb me please." The landlady warned them.

"Alright. Goodnight!" Maria said to the landlady as she entered the room.

"Goodnight you two young ladies, stay safe now." The landlady wanted to give them a bit of hint, well not them. To be precise she eyed Elise when she had said this.

Of course, Sylvie who was paying attention to the landlady throughout the entire conversation caught this. She decided once the landlady left, she would start laying down traps before the two of them slept.

After they said their goodbyes did the landlady finally leave them. Seeing that the landlady had started to descend down the flight of stairs did Elise finally close the door.

"Maria, help me with something will you?" Elise asked Maria.

"What is it Elise? You were acting really weird. You kept staring at the landlady as if she was going to bite you or something." Maria said.

"Because she is going to bite me or something. She said stay safe. There's a high probability that we are actually being tested this entire time. Help me lay down traps before we sleep so we don't have any danger befall us." Elise said.

"Oh alright. I don't know how to set any traps though." Maria said.

"Don't worry, just follow my instructions and we can set it up," Elise said.

"Un." Maria nodded her head as she just listened to Elise's instructions.

After around an hour of setting up traps did the two girls finally heave a sigh of relief.

"Ha~ Are we done yet, Elise?" Maria asked her as she was dead tired.

"Yeah, we should be done now. Just make sure you aren't fully asleep when you sleep. The traps could still be broken through." Elise said as she warned Maria.

"I got it," Maria said as she dug through her luggage for her magic wand.

"Alright then. Goodnight Maria." Elise said as she laid on a bed.

"Goodnight Elise," Maria said as she laid on another bed.

Gradually, the night started coming upon them all.
