Once Yan Xiaoran was already walking down the hallway, she found the police officer who excused himself after taking the money from her standing next to the door.

He was leaning against the wall and when he saw her leaving the room, he beamed and flashed a cheeky smile.

"Are you done, miss?" The police officer asked her to which Yan Xiaoran nodded.

"I am." She said and looked at the closed doors and as if she could see Zhao Shuxin tearing her hair out just to get to her, a smile bloomed on her lips.

"Miss, be careful. Although I don't know who you are, you shouldn't do this again, or else, you would be detained for bribery." The police officer warned her mildly.

Yan Xiaoran nodded her head but she suddenly said, "I know. Thanks for your help, Officer."

After saying that, Yan Xiaoran headed towards outside. The night was already deep and the setting sun was gone, what replaced it was the moon that shone above the sky.

Just like the sun and the moon, Yan Xiaoran and Zhao Shuxin were quite similar to them. Both possessed their own beauty but only one would end up rising up above the other.

Zhao Shuxin was like the sun. She was always surrounded by people. It didn't matter if they loved her or hate her, they all couldn't stop from being drawn by her charm and would still end up basking in her presence.

Meanwhile, Yan Xiaoran was the moon. She was forced to hide away and only appear when needed. People hated her for no reason despite her efforts to receive anyone's affection. She was always the second choice and the person who had to take everything.

But look what happened now.

Not only did Yan Xiaoran bring down Zhao Shuxin from her throne, but she also took away the people who loved Zhao Shuxin and made her realize that no one would be there for her even if she ends up at the darkest place in the whole world.

Yan Xiaoran looked away from the moon and walked towards her car. But before she could enter it, she received a message from one of her men and found out that Yu Jin Yan tried to commit suicide.

"What happened?" She asked immediately after she called the man who reported to her what happened to her mother.

"It seems that Mrs. Zhao had an argument with one of the convicts and lost the fight. She also found out that the Zhao family is now ruined thus, she decided to take her life." The man on the other side of the phone told her before he said, "She also attempted to escape the prison. The officers in the jail punished her for it eventually."

"Should we send a doctor to look after her?" Wang Li asked. He was currently working as one of the team leaders in the Black Organization that Yan Xiaoran established.

He didn't mean to but he still ended up finding out the relationship between Yan Xiaoran and Yu Jin Yan. Thus, he asked this question to her before he moves.

Yan Xiaoran's eyes widened at what she heard before she laughed.

Her laughter sounds so sweet, just like a child laughing at the funniest thing she had ever heard in her entire life. However, the coldness that was quite visible in her eyes told the opposite story.

"You don't have to do that." She said. "Just because she lost the wealth and prestige wanted in her entire life, she thinks that everything is over. If she wants to die, let her."

Yan Xiaoran felt bitter after she hangs up on the call. It was not because she felt bad for saying those words when it was about her mother. It was because she felt bad for little Koala who didn't deserve having a mother like Yu Jin Yan.

She was still too small to know anything about this world. Yet, her mother was only thinking about the material things that she lost and was willing to die after losing it.

Honestly, she didn't think that her mother could regress further than how she was when Yan Xiaoran was still by her side.

And those times weren't plenty but it was enough for her to tell now that her mother was the most disgusting woman she's ever met in her entire life.

Sighing, Yan Xiaoran threw her phone to the side before she started her car. She planned to visit her mother tonight but seeing that her mother was not able enough to receive their last reunion, she decided to go back to the suite.

Back to the prison, Zhao Shuxin was still screaming at the top of her lungs. She scratched, howled, and kicked the officers who tried to put her back in her jail room.

After meeting Yan Xiaoran, Zhao Shuxin refused to stay still and let the woman who ruined her beautiful life twice go without a fight.

"Let me go! I need to kill that b*tch!" She pushed the officer who tried to hold her down but that person didn't budge, "She destroyed my family! She's the one who should rot in jail! Yan Xiaoran, you will die a crueler death than me and I will watch it for sure!"

"Hold her down!"

"Don't let her go or else, the Director will have all our heads and fire us for not being able to hold a single woman!" The officer who got some tip from Yan Xiaoran told his fellow officers.

He wasn't new to this kind of situation. He saw several celebrities and figureheads who ended up rotting inside the prison. They first appeared to be so magnanimous and humble than a Saint or Buddha in front of the people and cameras. However, once they fall from the top, they would show their true colors and look uglier than a festered wound.

Shaking his head, the officer felt so disappointed with the truth. But upon thinking about the tip he got from Yan Xiaoran, his mood instantly turned better.
