On the third floor of the private resort.

Two people were walking side to side. Their heels were making a crisp sound against the tiled floor as they strutted in the corridor. Their sultry dress hugged their curvaceous body and flowed as they walked.

"Are you sure he's here, Fan Mei?" Pei Xinru asked the lady beside her.

Fan Mei nodded her head and said with a twinkle in her eyes, "Yes! I'm sure! I just got a message from Lu Jieyou that Alexander arrived at the party."

"But why is Brother Alexander here?"

"No idea." Fan Mei shrugged as they reached the first floor and got out of the elevator. "But isn't this a good chance for Sister Xinru? It has been a few years since the two of you saw each other. I'm sure if he saw how beautiful you are now, he might even propose to your parents.".

"Stop being silly. That won't happen." Pei Xinru rolled her eyes but deep inside her, she was delighted to know that Alexander didn't just come to the party to make his presence known but he actually went to the garden and stayed there for more than a few minutes.

As a young heiress to the crime organization in the Mainland, Pei Xinru had been bred to become number one at everything. She learned a lot of things at school and even in the way her parents worked in the crime organization. She was a proud young lady with an ambitious mind.

However, upon laying her eyes on Alexander who was the overlord that many feared, as if she was hit by an arrow lit with fire, she fell for Alexander in just a few seconds of seeing him.

Their feet walked faster than before as they reached the set of doors to the garden where the party was. The two butlers on the side opened it for them and with no hesitation, the two emerged out from the inside.

Used to the stares they were getting from the people who saw their beautiful faces, Pei Xinru and Fan Mei expected that they would get the center of attention once they enter the garden. But who knew that no one was looking at their way to even give them a glance as every guest in the garden was facing towards a certain direction.

As soon as their heels stepped on the lush green grasses on the ground, a young woman named Lu Jieyou approached them.

"Sister Xinru and Sister Mei." Lu Jieyou went to their sides and looked at them with a pale face.

"Where's he?" Pei Xinru didn't greet back as she wanted to see the man she came to the garden for.

Not finding any faults to how Pei Xinru dismissed her, Lu Jieyou tipped her chin towards the direction where Alexander was standing. A small crowd was gathered around a corner but from their perceptions, they could clearly see the faces of everyone who was standing in that corner.

As soon as her eyes landed on Alexander's figure, Pei Xinru smiled brightly as her feet started to make her way towards them.

But Lu Jieyou held her by her forearm and said, "Sister Xinru. Don't go there now. It's dangerous."

As she had stayed in the garden, unlike her friends who went to the third floor where the gathering of the young blood from every prestigious family, Lu Jieyou witnessed how Luciano, the Don of the Miguel family died in front of them.

Lu Jieyou had a grim look on her face as she wanted to keep her friend away from harm as Alexander was not someone to trifle with but Pei Xinru didn't care about that.

Pei Xinru was head over heels for Alexander and she can't be bothered with the dangers. They say that the road to love is full of danger signs and Pei Xinru was a willing victim to walk on that road.

Fan Mei suddenly gasped and stared ahead, she tapped Pei Xinru to get her attention and said, "Sister Xinru, am I seeing things right? T-there's a woman beside Alexander."

Pei Xinru looked up to that direction where Fan Mei was looking and saw that she was right. There was indeed a woman standing beside Alexander. She hadn't noticed that woman since Alexander was blocking her figure with his tall stature but after he stepped aside, the woman was finally uncovered.

"Who is she?" Pei Xinry's voice came out strangled as it was filled with jealousy and anger.

"I don't know." Lu Jieyou answered as she honestly didn't know. She only saw the beautiful woman beside Alexander and watched their intimate exchanges as well their physical contacts but didn't know who she was.

Pei Xinru coldly laughed and glared at Yan Xiaoran's direction, "I know a lot of females followed Brother Alexander like a moth to a flame but I have never met anyone this shameless to even stand beside him! Hmph! How dare she try to covet the place that is mine!"

Lu Jieyou stared in shock at Pei Xinru and knew that she was extremely angry. Pei Xinru was born to a Chinese crime organization family and was trained to be tough. And because of that, when Pei Xinru was angry, people tend to stay away from her and make sure that they wouldn't be the target of her wrath.

"Where are you going?" Lu Jieyou asked in alarm when Pei Xinru started to walk.

Without turning around, Pei Xinru said, "To see Brother Alexander."

On the other hand, Yan Xiaoran felt a pricking sensation in her skin. She looked around with her eyes narrowed. She was too familiar with this sensation as she always felt this kind of feeling whenever Zhao Shuxin glared at her like she was about to murder her.

But Zhao Shuxin isn't here. So what was causing her blood to boil just from the familiar feeling of that stare?

Yan Xiaoran pursed her red lips and with a calm expression on her face, she waited for trouble to come so she can wrestle with it to death.
