Wu Lei looked at her, interested in what kind of favor she was about to ask and had all of his attention to her and to what she was about to say.

He saw Yan Xiaoran scratching her nose as she said, "Can I borrow your phone?"

Wu Lei didn't understand why she wanted his phone but still gave it to her.

A few minutes later, Yan Xiaoran was standing at a bus stop where a few people were sitting on the benches there as they wait for their desired buses to come.

Earlier, she had Wu Lei drive her to the nearest bus stop and borrowed his phone and texted her father with the numbers she remembered. She didn't know where Alexander's mansion was located since it was her first time going there and when she first got there, she was unconscious. Thus, she didn't know where they were currently at.

Thankfully, Wu Lei helped her and accompanied her to go outside. With his phone, she told her father to meet where Wu Lei's GPS would be so they could meet.

Yan Xiaoran looked at Wu Lei who was beside her all this time, "Uh… are you not going back?"

Wu Lei shook his head and said, "I can't go back unless young miss returns with me."

They went out without telling anyone and since Wu Lei was a staff in Alexander's mansion, he was able to use the front gate and the employee's car without anyone stopping them.

And since Yan Xiaoran was a guest of his master, Wu Lei didn't question where she was going, but it seems that he made a mistake.

"That… I don't think I can do that." Yan Xiaoran said.

"What is?" Wu Lei was confused about what she meant by that and looked at her.

Yan Xiaoran had an awkward smile as she said, "I'm not going back to Alexander's mansion."

Wu Lei was alarmed at her words and asked away, "You are not? But why? Did anyone in the mansion do anything to young miss? Or perhaps, you're not satisfied with master Alexander's arrangements?"

Yan Xiaoran instantly waved her hands and said, "Oh no! I do like everything. And nothing happened and nothing's unsatisfactory to me. It just that I think I overstayed my welcome and it's rude to stay longer inside somebody's home."

Wu Lei was about to tell her that it was not true and she wasn't being a nuisance. He wanted to tell her that in his master's stead, however, Yan Xiaoran was faster.

"Anyway, I don't think I will go back with you there. I have to meet someone important to me and sorry. Please do give me Alexander's contact number so I can express my gratitude to him personally." Yan Xiaoran smiled at him and with an expression that told him her decision was final, Wu Lei gave up.

Wu Lei gave Alexander's contact information to her and said their farewell together. Both didn't know what the future holds after this moment.

Standing at one side of the bus stop, Yan Xiaoran couldn't keep still as she looked to her left and right.

A few minutes later, a Rolls Royce Phantom showed up and stopped in front of the bus stop. The people who were seated on the benches were shocked at the luxury car that stopped in front of them.

From their viewpoint, the black luxury car was extremely beautiful and intimidating. However, they couldn't stop looking at it after a middle-aged man came out from it.

The man was tall and was quite handsome despite the wrinkles at the corner of his eyes, showing that he was older than most of the people present. The vibe he was giving off was quite suffocating as his Phoenix eyes darted up to his left and right like he was looking for something or someone and they couldn't help but tense up as if they were about to go to an interview.

Yan Wu Jing had a stern look on his face as he scanned the faces of the people sitting on the benches in front of him. However, he couldn't find anyone that resembles his daughter until his eyes reached the young lady on the side of the bus stop, wearing a maxi dress.

He could hear heartbeat ramming against his ribs as he slowly takes his steps towards the young lady.

Similar to him, Yan Xiaoran didn't know what to do after seeing her father coming out of the car.

Her father still had the same face as he did when she was young although, he was slightly older and there were some grey hairs already showing up and wrinkles on the corner of his eyes.

However, Yan Xiaoran knew that he was still the same loving father he was when she was young.

Yan Xiaoran hesitated to go to him but after seeing him sharing the same pained look, she couldn't stop from reaching out to him and slam her head against his chest as she hugged him tightly.

"Daddy!" Yan Xiaoran said as she encircled her pale arms around him.

"Xiaoran." Yan Wu Jing hugged her back and kissed her forehead like he always does when she was still young.

The father-daughter duo hugged each other for a while and caught the attention of others but the two didn't stop hugging each other until a few minutes later when Yan Xiaoran got embarrassed and asked if they could go somewhere else.
