Noah listened as Dr. Navarra, Dr. Sidorov, and Dr. Patel discussed Jess's situation. Noah just sat there with his head in his hands. His shoulders were slumped in frustration and worries.

He glanced at his watch and there were still seven hours before they landed. He doesn't know how he will survive.

He was listening to the discussion and medical jargon flew in his ear only to exit the other ear. He doesn't understand most of the terminologies they were talking about. Whenever he heard dangerous-sounding words, he would ask them if Jess is okay.

Dr. Patel and Markus kept on reminding him that Jess was fine. In the middle of the discussion, Noah excused himself and went to the bathroom where he puked what's inside his stomach.

His stomach feels acidic after throwing up. He felt a certain pain but he didn't mind it and return to where Dr. Navarra was still talking to Dr. Sidorov. He was about to sit down on his seat next to Dr. Navarra when Antonio called his attention.

He excused himself in front of the laptop screen and approached Antonio. Other than Jess's situation there was also a huge situation that was happening in the company that needed his attention.

Noah exhaled a deep breath, trying to compartmentalize his emotions. He has to be there for Jess, but he has a company to run. There are people under him and he has a responsibility to them.

He shoved the issue about Jess's health since all the doctors that were with her, confirmed so many times that Jess is fine. She'll be fine.

Now, he has to face the problem with the company first. He still has seven hours where he can devote his time to the problem of the company. Right now, he can't do anything for Jess, other than making sure that she was properly taken care of until he was the one next to her.

He has to trust Markus and the doctors he got to make sure Jess was safe.

He sat down next to Antonio on the table in front of the lawyers and there were two computers open where some other head of the department under him was on a video call conference.

Antonio was working his ass off, while he was busy self-loathing, feeling embarrassed, hopeless, and useless with Jess's situation.

He sat down and listened to the meeting that was happening up in the air. The video conference lasted for almost an hour. When the video conference was done, Noah faced the corporate lawyers that were flying with them.

He needed their expertise over something that he needed. He has been tracking all the shareholders of ANAT since last year. Most of them stayed the same for none of the shareholders were crazy and stupid enough to pull out from an investment that surely returned their invested money.

That's why he knew, it would be difficult to prove himself to those shareholders that had been in their company for years!

He had to prove to them that he can continue what the company was doing and more.

Hence, he was working double-time making sure everything was in place before the annual shareholder meeting. He wanted to make sure that during that time, he doesn't just have his grandfather's backing but he has something to show and prove to the shareholders that he can do the job not because he was a Tiefenbacher and he has his grandfather behind him.

So far, everything was working according to plan except for some problems that would arise every now and then that were a normal occurrence in the business world.

However, something happened that doesn't fall into the category of normal. One of the oldest shareholders of their company decided to sell his shares to the other shareholders.

It wasn't a problem if only it didn't happen during the time when everyone was working to make sure that he won't get the CEO position. Even his own father was fighting him for it.

He doesn't want to resign from the CEO position yet. It was just his grandfather who wanted it. And because his grandfather, despite no longer holding a position in the company, everyone still knows that he has the company within the palm of his hands, hence, almost all in the company were bending to cater to the old Tiefenbacher.

His father was having a hard time wanting to keep his position in the company. And now, they found out that there was some buying of company shares that was happening. He couldn't let it happen!

They don't know who was buying shares but they have been watching everyone since last year, and what is happening in the company right now is something that was being forced on everyone.

Someone was working behind the scenes of these shares selling and buying. Someone has been gathering shares. And there is only one possible reason for someone to buy shares, especially during this time when the voting for the next CEO was about to happen.

Noah worked on the company problem for another two hours before his attention was called with another issue—his daughter's return to LA.

Jin was calling one of Antonio's work phones because both of his phones were currently being used.

"Daddy!" Lucille screamed on the phone as soon as he accepted it from Antonio.

Lucille came into view. She was wearing a red and black flannel dress. Her black silky hair was tied in a red satin ribbon. As usual, she was holding her favorite stuffed animal in her hands.

"Hello, darling," he smiled. "Ready to stay with me?"

"Daddy, what happened to you? You looked ugly." She told him instead of answering his question.

Hearing his daughter calling him ugly, Noah felt conscious especially when he glanced at the time. They only have an hour to land. He would be seeing Jess soon and he looks ugly according to his daughter.

"Ahh, daddy is ugly but you—darling looks beautiful!"

"I know!" Lucille giggled. "I can't wait to see you and everyone! And I can't wait to get on the plane!"

He chuckled and glanced at Antonio, "Why?"

"Because it's my first time to ride on a plane that we didn't own!"
