Capture The Blue-Eyed CEO Chapter 110

Luke was gripping her hand while she stared at the ambulance ceiling and two paramedics were hovering above her head doing whatever they had to do.
None of them talked until they reached the hospital, she was deposited in a wheelchair and pushed to a private room where two doctors and three nurses were waiting for them.
She thought the number of medical personnel was too much for a throbbing ankle and a day-old cut in her palm.
She has no plan of complaining since she knew that Ellise was Briare's friend and one of the shareholders of the resort they were in.
Ellise, despite being apathetic most of the time, could be an annoying mother hen when she wanted. And can be vindictive too! She knew how she ruined the company of the husband of Dana's boyfriend ex-girlfriend.
Thus, she kept her mouth shut and let all these doctors and nurses smother her with too much unneeded attention.
After checking her blood pressure and her breathing, the doctor told the nurse she needed an MRI! She has no plan of complaining to not aggravate Ellise into snitching to their aunt, that would probably tell her father, but an MRI?
Why in the world would she need a freaking MRI? They are abusing the hospital resources for unnecessary things!
The younger doctor must have sensed her apprehension for MRI, he smiled at her, "Miss Zimmerman, we apologize for bothering you this much, however, the hospital director had given an order to leave no stone unturned when it comes to your health condition."
She took a deep breath and released a soft sigh. She gave the young doctor an apologetic smile.
"Bring her to the lab," he ordered the waiting nurses.
Luke was about to follow the nurse that was pushing her wheelchair but another nurse stopped him, for some forms that needed to be filled out.
She didn't just get an MRI, her blood was taken, she was weighed, and basically did the whole check-up that you could possibly do to a human body.
She was on the verge of losing her mind with the absurdity of the situation. When finally they declared that she could go back to her room to take a rest.
Luke was waiting for her in the private room that was prepared for her. He was already in dry clothes, and she noticed that he was wearing his own clothes.

Her eyebrows furrowed that he was able to go to their villa and came back to the hospital with the amount of time she spent in the laboratory taking all those useless and disgusting tests!
"Ellise called --"
"Tell the bitch I'm going to kill her!" she snarled, as the nurses fussed over her to put on a hospital gown which she refused! She has no plan to stay here for a night.
She was about to inform the nurse of her decision when the young doctor came into the room.
"Miss Zimmerman, doctor's order was for you to stay the night for an overnight observation."
"Listen, doctor…" she said, gritting her teeth in rage.
Luke snickered in the background when he heard her furious hissing.
"I know, Miss Zimmerman. But, unless you jump out of that open window on your own, and -- please if possible, without us in the room -- you are not allowed to get out of this hospital within the next twenty-four hours," he informed her matter-of-factly.
"Sorry, but I didn't catch your name. What is your name again, Doctor--" she smiled sweetly as she cocked her head to the side.
The doctor chuckled and flashed her a charming smile, "Miss Zimmerman, I am nothing but a lowlife doctor in this big hospital organization. My mother had to work in different households to pay for my overly expensive medical tuition."
"Name, doctor," she asked in clenched teeth.
"Doctor Neves, at your service," he bowed slightly. An amused glint at the corner of his brown eyes can be seen.
"Thank you for your exemplary service," she scoffed, her words and actions were dripping with sarcasm. "Give my regards to your mother." she sneered before she grabbed the change of clothes the nurse had been holding and hopped to the bathroom to change on her own.
"I hope you are not scared of the needle, Miss Zimmerman. You will be given an intravenous line later on by your nurse," he informed her before she slammed the bathroom door.
When Jess was behind a closed door, the playfulness in his demeanor disappeared. He surveyed the room and barked orders to the nurse before he gave Luke a small nod and left the room.
"That was interesting," he commented, as he started peeling an apple and cutting it into a rabbit shape.

The nurse on duty didn't give any comment and just fixed the bed and checked all the lines of medical equipment inside the room.
Jess came out of the bathroom wearing a white breezy summer dress. She didn't wear the hospital gown and change to the clothes Luke brought for her. She was expecting the nurse to comment on it but she silently beckoned her to get on the hospital bed.
She followed suit with the nurse order, hopped on the bed, and got comfortable. She fluffed the pillow and put it behind her back, as she leaned on the headrest.
"Can I get an extra pillow, please?"
"Yes, Miss." she met her eyes, and lifted a needle that was attached to the IV line already hanging next to her bed, "May I --" she gestured for her right arm.
Jess, knowing that she is a captive of this hospital for the next twenty-four hours as that impertinent doctor said, surrendered her arm to the nurse and let her do her job without any more complaint.
When the nurse left the room, Luke handed her a plate of rabbit apple slices. She batted her eyelashes and pursed her lips, "Thank you, but can you take me away from here instead?"
"Has anyone taken notice of me this whole time?" His question was laced with sarcasm. "All of them walked by me like I'm one of the furniture in this room. How do you expect me to take you away from here?"
He shoved a slice of rabbit-shaped apple in her mouth, "If you can't wait for the twenty-four hours confinement, listen to your doctor -- jump out of the open window..." he nodded to the window next to her bed, "and just like the good-looking doctor said -- please not with me in the room."
She chuckled despite the frustration she was feeling, "The doctor was indeed good-looking."
"Glad to know that you are happy with your good-looking doctor, Miss Zimmerman."
They were startled when Noah entered the room without any of them noticing. Lucille was walking next to him with a huge floral bouquet that covered her face that she has difficulty walking.
"Is that for me?" she asked the little girl who was peeking behind the colorful array of different flowers.
She timidly nodded, which was very unlike her. The bubbly Lucille was feeling shy, gripping her daddy's pants.
Noah took the flowers from Lucille's hand and gently put them on Jess' lap. His knuckles softly graze her cheek, as he lifted strands of hair from her cheek and gently tucked them behind her ears.
"Lucille, what will you say to Little Miss Jessie?" he nudged his daughter who has been feeling shy all of the sudden.
"Thank you for saving me, Little Miss Jessie." She stepped closer to her bed and craned her neck at the plate of apples on her lap.
She picked up a slice and showed her how they were shaped like a bunny.
"Uncle Luke made them for me. Would you like some?"
She nodded and opened her palm. "Yes, please."
"Lucille, would you like to help me get some coffee for your daddy and Little Miss Jessie?"
With the rabbit-shaped slice in her hand, she tilted her head to Luke and smiled brightly.
"We'll go get you guys some coffee, and asked the nurse for something to eat." He picked up Lucille in his arms to find coffee when Jess' private room had its own kitchenette and a coffee maker was on the kitchen counter.
When they heard the soft thud of the door behind Luke and Lucille, Noah lifted the end of her blanket and checked her left ankle. It was swollen and lifted on a pillow.
"Are you okay?" He asked, pulling a chair next to her bed. His eyes were full of emotion Jess couldn't name and never dare to name.
"I'm good. How about Soraya and Lucille?"
"Lucille was checked on by some child psychologist, she's fine. Soraya had an MRI for her head wound and advised to stay for overnight observation. Other than that, everything was fine."
"I don't have a head wound but had to have an MRI and was forced to stay overnight for observation. I even got an IV line!" she lifted her right arm, as she whined.
He bent towards her, and kissed her pouting lips, "My poor little minx, what can I do to make you feel better?", he whispered as he nipped her lips.

I Want You to Remember Me
A simple romantic tale of a... girl meeting a... boy. Trust and love both take time to grow, but growing together is also a lot of fun. A handful of disclaimers and claims: First, this is fan fiction, set in the “Amaranthine Saga” universe written by Forthright. The story and characters, on the other hand, are wholly my own (fault). I highly encourage you to read the stories from the “Amaranthine Saga” before reading this; the latter half of this story will make a whole lot more sense if you do. Second, this is a relatively short and stand-alone story. The completed story should clock in around 10,000 words, so please do not expect a novel, let alone a series. Third, while this is a romantic story, I’ve never been a fan of the usual romance “misunderstanding” tropes. Think of this as more of a romantic slice-of-life story than an action or traditional romance story. Finally, thank you for reading. :)
