Barbara was struck dumb for a second. She glanced at Kylie, then said, "Kylie is always loyal to you. It's not a big deal."

Kylie felt embarrassed, then said to Barbara in a quiet voice, "Mom, it doesn't matter whether Ethan forgives him or not, but Stephen has broken the law, and he should be punished."

"I don't care!" Barbara was displeased. "As long as you want to help, Stephen will be fine. And..." In case Barbara said something that hurt Ethan, Kylie pulled Barbara at once. "Mom, Ethan will figure out a way."

Hearing that, Ethan stared at Kylie. "Do you want me to help him get away with his crime too?"

Kylie was a little scared. She had no intention to help Stephen get away with his crime at all!

Barbara rolled her eyes at Kylie, then went upstairs. Ethan snorted and walked out of the living room.

The housekeeper understood Mr. Parker was still mad, so he didn't insist and guided the doctor walking into the study.

Stephen put the first aid box down, then walked to Ethan's back after disinfecting his hands. "Mr. Parker, how do you feel today?"

He had the same voice as the doctor, which surprised Kylie, who was eavesdropping at the door.

Stephen removed his shirt, and his injuries were bare in the air. "Mr. Parker, did you exercise again? It's not good for your recovery."

Looking at Ethan's bare skin, he can't figure out why Ethan's knack healing power didn't work this time. Stephen took out a bottle of medicine liquid and applied it to Ethan's injuries.

Ethan stiffened in great pain. A few seconds later, Ethan felt the sharp pain become a burning sensation, and the hand started to rub his back.

Stephen's sight moved away from the injuries to Ethan's handsome profile. He couldn't think of another man who could tolerate such cruel pain except for Ethan.

He did admire him.

Ethan raised his head. "Mr. Cecil, you can be straightforward with me." The second he finished, he turned his arm to catch Stephen, but Stephen easily avoided.

"You're mentally agile as always. When did you find it out?" Stephen smiled at him, leaning on the wall.

"Are you an idiot? We are of the same race, and I could sense your presence. The moment you walked in, I know it was you no matter how great your disguise" Ethan put his shirt on. "Your eyes don't lie."

"Oh?" Stephen took off the human-skin mask on his face and joked, "I thought only Kylie could recognize me."

Ethan was displeased hearing that. "Don't call her Kylie." He reached out his hand to catch Stephen, but Stephen shifted into his real form and stopped Ethan from moving. Lifted the flower pot and threw it to his brother.

Ethan moved aside, and the flowerpot was smashed into pieces on the ground.

The loud sound scared Kylie.

Only Barbara could stop Ethan right now.

Kylie dashed to Barbara's room and ran inside without knocking on the door. "Mom! Let's go! Stephen is in the study now!" There was no need for her to tell Barbara more details, and Barbara already realized what was going on now.

Although Ethan was injured, his anger strengthened him. He shifted into his hybrid form as his eyes turn gold and fierce. Stephen understood he wasn't a match for Ethan, so he irritated him by words on purpose.

Right at this moment, the door of the study was pushed open, and Barbara showed up with a knife on her neck.

"Stop it now, or I'll kill myself in your sight!"
