Loving A STRANGER Chapter 505

Kylie moved a little slower, and the driver waved goodbye to her from the car window.
The rolling shutter door of the auto repair shop moved up at a slow pace, and a repairer walked out of it.
He looked at the direction to which the taxi left, then turned to face Kylie. "Miss, do you come here to pick your car?"
"Nope." Kylie smile. "I come to pick a person up."
"A person?" The repairman rubbed his nose, then walked inside.
Seeing the rolling shutter door falling down again, Kylie didn't know what to do.
At the same time, the surveillance camera at the road turned to focus on her.
"Vincent, there is a woman in the picture!" Vincent's colleague called him.
Vincent ran to the computer and enlarged the picture at once. He was struck dumb when he saw Kylie's face.
He just had a call with Ethan and made a bold guess about the fact that Harvey was on drugs too.
If Tory got the magical pill, he would find someone to test it first, and nobody was more suitable than Harvey in his eyes.
Nate proposed to put some stress on Tory by driving a wedge between him and Bill.
Vincent also put out feelers to see whether Ethan trusted Kylie completely.
Kylie's relationships with others were really embarrassing after all.
First, Harvey was the director of the new show Kylie was cast in, and she could easily persuade him to try the magical pill.
Second, Kylie had been abducted by Stephen before, but how did she manage to come back home safely?
Third, Kylie told them Dinah had a full recovery, but nobody had seen Dinah except her.
However, no matter how suspicious Vincent was towards Kylie, Ethan always said that he trusted Kylie.
Why did Kylie went to Tory's base late at night?

Unfortunately, they couldn't hear the voice, so they didn't know what Kylie was talking to the repairer.
"Focus on her!" Vincent made an order. He wouldn't allow Ethan to be hurt because of Kylie again!
Kylie waited outside for a long time, but nobody came out of the auto repair shop.
She left in a hurry, so she didn't carry her phone with her. What was worse, she just gave the taxi driver all the money she had, and now she couldn't contact Tory.
Right when Kylie felt cornered, a familiar figure staggered over in her sight.
"Faith?" Kylie was surprised.
Hearing someone call her, Faith turned to look over but couldn't see Kylie clearly.
She stumbled ahead for a few steps, then laughed. "Oh, I was wondering who you are. What? Do you come here to make fun of me?"
Kylie pinched her nose in annoyance. "Faith, how much have you drunk?"
"J-Just a little," Faith said, but she barely could stand on her feet.
Kylie got angry, seeing Faith abandon herself like that. "Faith, I gave you money so that you can run a small business and live a steady life, but you disappoint me!"
"Money?" Faith sneered. "You gave me money? Did I hear it right? Come on, you don't need to donate money to me."
Faith picked her ear and leaned on a telephone pole to support herself. "I did have drunk a lot, but I'm not drunk! Kylie Finch, I admit that I betrayed you, and I'm jealous of you, but I've never stabbed your back except for the fact that I left you."
She exhaled a breath of white smoke and looked up, saying, "I also want to live a good life and be outstanding. I-I also want... I hate looking up to you all the time! Well, I just realized that I'm nobody once I left you!"

Faith talked without logic and almost fell down to the ground.
Kylie supported her at once. "Faith, you've done nothing wrong if you just want to be outstanding, but you chose the wrong way and even refused to correct the mistake you made."
Faith fixed her eyes at Kylie for a long time, then burst into tears all of a sudden.
She slipped to the ground, hugging Kylie's legs, crying out loud, "Kylie, you should ignore me. You shouldn't care about me..."
Kylie couldn't move her up but squat on the ground to keep her company.
When Faith almost stopped crying, Kylie said, "Don't abuse alcohol again. I'll transfer some money to your bank account later, and you can pay it back to me along with the amount I've given you last time."
"What?" Faith raised her head. "When did you give me money?"
Kylie frowned. "Didn't Lucas give you 20 thousand dollars?"
"Twenty thousand dollars?" Faith was also confused. "I haven't seen Lucas for a long time, let alone the money."
Kylie sensed something must be wrong, and she didn't have time to meet Lucas these days either.
"Forget it, I'll transfer the money to your bank account later." Kylie stood up and helped Faith get back to her feet.
Faith wiped her eyes and asked, "Why are you out alone late at night? Did you argue with Lord Ethan?"
"No, I didn't," Kylie said, and an idea dawned on her. "Your place isn't far away, right? Let's go to your home first and give me 20 dollars for taking a taxi."
Faith beamed. "Exchange 20 thousand dollars with just 20 dollars. Great deal!"
Kylie stayed outside for nearly an hour.
The moment she went back to the Finch family's house, she saw Ethan along with Nate, Vincent, and others sitting together in the living room. Everyone looked serious. Except Ethan, other people were all staring at her.
"Do you still have to have a meeting now? It's very late," Kylie joked, but the atmosphere in the living room became more stressful.
Nate pulled his lips and moved his eyes away from Kylie.
Vincent stared straight at Kylie like she was a criminal.
Kylie got nervous. She put on her slippers, then walked to the back of Ethan. "Do you feel a little better?"
However, when she was about to lay her hands on his shoulders, Ethan lowered his shoulders and avoided her hands in silence.
Kylie felt embarrassed in front of so many people, but she soon composed her face. "Well, I'll leave you all to your work."
Afterward, she said to Ethan, "Don't work too late."
Ethan didn't bother to give her a look and focused on the laptop in his hands all the time.
Kylie walked away by Ethan's back, trying to peek at what he was watching.
Nevertheless, Nate made a cough when she just moved her eyes, so she had to draw her sight back.
Once she was in the bedroom, Kylie locked the door and called Tory without delay.
Tory also sounded displeased on the phone. "Why do you contact me with your own phone?"
"How could you question me like that now? You told me to pick the doctor up, but I didn't see him at all!" Kylie got anxious. "You know I slipped out, and you still stood me up. How should I explain it to Ethan?"
Before Tory could say anything, Kylie heard a hoarse and cold voice behind.
"How do you want to explain it to me?"

Discord Community: https://discord.gg/3tHKHAx7Ye The Vitaean Chronicles are a debut LitRPG High Fantasy series written with the intent of filling a niche I've yet to see filled anywhere else. This is my first novel of this kind, so please be patient with me. Throughout this story, I will endeavour to create an evolving and expansive narrative anchored around believable characters, compelling plotlines, and a consistent and sensible magic system. The purpose of this work is to create what I believe to be a relatively unique piece of fiction, drawing inspiration from many great stories that have come before from the likes of Tolkien, Jordan, Hertbert, Goodkind, Pratchett, Martin, and several others. My goal is not to create a masterpiece, but simply to create a story that someone can read and re-read with the same joy, same frustration, and same investment each time. This story will contain violence, politics, Shakespearian drama, tongue-in-cheek references, adult content, and well-crafted relationships of both platonic and romantic natures. I will not promise you will like every choice I make. I can only guarantee that I will do my best to create a story I, and you, can be proud of. As I progress, I will have room to incorporate fan-made characters for those interested in making their mark within the tapestry of this tale (with the customary disclaimer that they do so while waiving any rights to future profit, lol). Thank you to Royal Road for giving me the platform to do that, and thank you dear readers past, present, and future for choosing to come on this journey with me. Finally, just to cover myself: This work is Copyrighted to the Author herein known as 'Hannibal Forge', and recreation, distribution, or re-release of any material herein in a commercial or public capacity absent permission from the Author can and will be prosecuted to the full extent of the Law.
