Loving A STRANGER Chapter 501

Nate was struck dumb for a few seconds, then patted the back of Ben's head. "You little funny boy!"
"My name is Ben!" Ben argued.
Kylie pulled Ben over to let him sit by her side. "Ben, you're still a kid, and you don't understand what adults are doing."
Ben thought for a while, then said, looking at her, "I do. My father isn't a bad person. Mother Kylie isn't either..." He pressed his lips and added, "Neither is Mother Kylie's husband."
Fannie approached Kylie. "Since Ben doesn't want to go back, it's not a bad thing that he stays with us."
"But..." Kylie hesitated.
"Probably Tory also wants his son to stay with you," Nate said. "Ben's much safer with you than by Stephen's side."
"I agree with you this time." Fannie touched Nate's face.
Nate rubbed his face against Fannie's palm like a kitten.
"Do you need me to ask for leave for you as well?" Kylie asked Ben.
"Um, I can call Uncle Wyatt myself so that they won't know I'm with you," Ben said.
"Good boy! You're a potential good agent." Nate laughed.
After breakfast, Kylie went upstairs to check Ethan's condition first. The medicine came into effect, and he was still in a deep sleep.
"I'll do my best to come home before he wakes up," Kylie said. "Please take good care of him."
"Just go. I know what to do," Nate said.
The housekeeper drove Kylie to the set, and Kate walked out at this moment. "Kylie!"
"Hi, Ms. Green." Kylie greeted her with a smile.
"Ben just asked for leave, and Bill told us to have a break for a couple of days," Kate said.

Kylie pretended to be surprised, but she knew there must be another reason. "Why? Even though Ben doesn't come, we can shoot other scenes."
"I know." Kate looked around, then pulled Kylie aside. "The police came yesterday and caught Harvey for no reason!"
"Really?" Kylie said and stuck out three fingers. "Is it because of those girls in his room?"
"Well, there indeed were several girls in his room, but I don't think the police are in charge of a person's personal affairs," Kate said.
"Who knows." Kylie shrugged. "I'm swamped these days. It's not bad news. I don't need to ask for leave again."
"Well, see you then when the shooting begins, Kylie." Kate went into her nanny van.
Ethan was still in his sleep when Kylie was back in the Finch family's house.
"Wow, you're so quick." Fannie was surprised.
"I think Harvey might be another victim of a magical pill. He's caught by the police, and Bill isn't in the mood of shooting," Kylie said.
She disinfected her hands with alcohol, then walked to the sofa and touched Ethan's forehead. "Why does he have a fever again?"
Fannie exchanged a glance with Nate. Nate pulled his lips, and Fannie pulled Kylie to the bathroom.
"Um, there is something we must tell you."
"Just say it." Kylie nodded. She understood they wanted to keep it a secret from Ethan.
"Ethan's injuries are serious," Fannie said.
"How serious are they?" Kylie had a hunch.
"His life is in danger," Fannie said.
Kylie opened the door of the bathroom and glanced at Ethan. "Did the doctor tell you that?"
She had been by Ethan's side all night yesterday. Although he had a high fever, she didn't notice any deadly injuries on his body as he looked fine. But the intense heat unto Ethan was unexplainable. Why was his life in danger now?

"To be honest with you, Ethan is in a very terrible condition now, and you'll know how serious his injuries are when the doctor comes to check him later," Fannie said. "The point is that the only person who can save his life now is the Ghost Doctor."
" What's going to my husband? And who is that Ghost Doctor?" Kylie repeated it. "How can I find the person?"
"He's right in your sight." Fannie stared straight at her.
Kylie wasn't dumb and thought of a name. She took a long breath in, then leaned on the door.
Given the current situation, neither Stephen nor Ethan would agree on the idea.
"Is there another way to solve this problem?" Kylie asked.
"I wish, but we don't have right now," Fannie raised her outstretched hands.
They stayed in the bathroom for a long time but repeated nothing.
Fannie felt for Kylie. It wasn't an easy thing to choose between a man she loved and a man who loved her.
If she wanted to save Ethan's life, she must turn to Stephen for help in person. However, she just escaped from his side, and it was very dangerous to go back again.
If Ethan knew Kylie risked her life for him, he would be mad.
Nate lightly knocked on the door of the bathroom. Although he didn't dare criticize Kylie, he could blame Fannie for it. "Fannie, are you having diarrhea now?"
"Shut your mouth!" Fannie said, then patted on Kylie's shoulder. "Kylie, no matter what your decision is, I'm with you."
Kylie nodded. Whatever she was going to do, she must make a good plan at first.
They left the bathroom later, and Fannie argued with Nate again. Kylie, instead, knelt down before the sofa observing Ethan's sleeping form.
She gently pulled his wrist and rolled the sleeve up, but it was stuck at his elbow.
Ethan woke up all of a sudden. "Kylie? Why are you here?" He struggled to sit up.
The doctor was right. Even though he had woken up a few times for water last night, he didn't remember anything.
Before Kylie could answer it, Ethan noticed his sleeve rolled up, and he laid his arm down at once.
"Hi, Ethan, how do you feel now?" Nate used Fannie as a crutch jumping over.
Ethan glanced at him, then looked at Kylie. "Did he tell you?"
Kylie handed him a glass of water. "No, I found it out myself."
Ethan's throat got better after drinking up half of the water. "I'm fine. Don't believe him."
"What?" Nate was displeased. "Ethan, do you know..."
Right at this moment, Fannie covered Nate's mouth to stop him talking. "Ethan, don't be mad at him. You know he never grows up."
Nate got rid of her hand. "What did you say?"
