Ethan sneered again, "I can bring glory back to Century Group, and I can also shut it down! Your shares aren't worth a cent."

Matthew was struck dumb. "W-What do you want then?" He reached out his hands, then drew them back. "As long as you can give it to me, I'll do whatever you tell me to do."

"Please! Give it to me." Matthew begged.

Ethan looked at the small bottle in his hand. It was repeatedly thrown up, then fell down in his palm. Matthew's eyes looked up and down, following it.

The small bottle was the most fragile thing around this world in his eyes now. It seemed if it fell and broke on the floor, his life would be ruined.

Just a few minutes passed by, but Matthew had suffered like a century-long.

The chairman's office fell into weird silence.

Matthew could manage to tolerate it when he failed to get a magical pill. However, the magical pill was right in front of his eyes now, and he totally lost control of himself.

After a few seconds, Matthew couldn't stand it any longer. He looked at Ethan with tears in his eyes. "What do you want?"

"The truth." Ethan stopped throwing the small bottle.

Matthew's body shook in shock. Ethan was completely different now from the little boy before. He didn't dare admit that he was involved in the event which had happened many years ago.

He ached to get the magical pill, but he also wanted to stay alive.

"What truth? I-I don't know." Matthew avoids meeting Ethan's eyes.

Ethan glanced around Matthew's body. He could barely stand on his feet now.

Without hesitation, Ethan opened the bottle and poured a blue pill out of it.

The tiny pill was pinched in Ethan's fingers. Once he used a little force, the magical pill would be destroyed.

Matthew started to have a fierce mental struggle.

He was in bad need of extreme pleasure now and wanted to tell Ethan everything he knew about what had happened that year.

He also knew it clearly that Ethan didn't have any proof no matter what Ethan was thinking now.

He couldn't tell him!

Ethan lost patience and opened a window with one hand. The office was on the 18th floor, and the cold wind blew inside at once.

Matthew got nervous, seeing Ethan reaching out his hand with the pill pinched in his fingers to the outside of the window.

"Three," Ethan said a simple word.

Matthew was in torture now.

If Ethan dumped the pill into a trash can, he could pick it out without caring for his dignity, but what should he do if Ethan threw it out of the window?

When Ethan was about to say the next number, Matthew moved a step forward all of a sudden and shouted, "It's all my fault that you were lost!"

Ethan stopped and waited.

Matthew decided to say it aloud. He would die without the magical pill anyway.

If he was going to die at the end, he would rather enjoy the pleasure first before his death.

"I was stunned by the magic that year, and you were already gone when I turned around to find you a while later." Matthew bit his lips and continued. "I didn't dare tell father that I lost you, so I said you went outside to play yourself."

"I thought you would go back home on your own..."

Before Matthew could finish, Ethan opened his mouth again. "Two."

Matthew rounded his eyes in an instant. He reached out his hands once more, trying to hold the pill, then stamped his foot.

"Fine, I'll tell you the truth today." It was a load off his mind. "It's I who sold you to the trafficker. I even used the money to buy a toy car."

"You were brought to my family by Barbara, but father loved you more than me. I got jealous of you, and I hated you!"

"You grabbed father's love away from me, and you would grab my family's properties, which should belong to me, away from me as well!"

"That's the reason why I sold you." Matthew was relieved.

He wiped his nose, then rubbed his hand against his coat. "I've told you everything, and now you can give it to me."

However, to his astonishment, Ethan still wore a cold face and kept counting down. "One."

Matthew dashed to the window without delay and stopped Ethan's hand with great force. "It's father!"

"It's a father who told me to sell you!"

Ethan finally drew his hand back from the outside of the window. He withdrew his fingers and squeezed the pill in his palm.

Matthew knelt down on the ground on his knees. His father wouldn't let him get away with it now.

He lowered his head, like a wet rat, and there were only Ethan's luxurious handmade leather shoes in his sight.

Ethan didn't urge Matthew, because he knew Matthew would honestly tell him everything now.

"After your birth, father treated you very well before Barbara's face, but he snapped at you once Barbara was absent."

"Father accepted you only because he wanted to keep Barbara by his side."

"It happened at your one-month birthday party."

"An old friend of my father's said 'the key to one's success is also one's undoing' before he dropped his gift and left."

"It was like a time bomb in our father's mind."

"As you grew up day by day, you were obviously smarter than other kids of your age, even than those who were older than you."

"The more outstanding you were, the more worried father was. Father was afraid that you would harm the Parker family one day in the future."

Matthew moved several steps forward on his knees. He hugged Ethan's legs and begged. "I've told you everything I know. Please, give it to me!"

After hearing the story, Ethan was shocked, and his hand fell down.

He knew Matthew had caused his missing, but he had no idea that his respected father was the mastermind behind this scheme.

Seeing Ethan was in deep thought, Matthew grabbed the pill away from his hand. He escaped back to the door, in case Ethan caught him.

When he was about to swallow the pill, Matthew sighed and said to Ethan in all sincerity, "You're back, and your disease was cured. You're also the chairman of the Century Group now. Let bygones be bygones!"

"I betrayed my father, and I can't go back to the Parker family's house for now. I asked for it myself!" After that, Matthew threw the blue pill into his mouth and swallowed it down without any water.

Ethan slowly raised his eyes and stared at Matthew. Matthew stood still for three seconds, then collapsed down to the ground.

"Come in now," Ethan said to an extension phone.
