Loving A STRANGER Chapter 447

Stephen rubbed her hair with a broad smile on his face and nodded.
Fannie walked over with a bowl of soup in her hands.
She took a long breath. "Wow, it smells so good."
Afterward, she handed the soup to Kylie and said to Stephen, "Stephen, you're so stingy, and you just bring soup for one person."
Kylie glanced at the soup bowl in her hands, then turned to Fannie. "I can't eat that much. We can share it."
Hearing that, Stephen seemed displeased.
Fannie actually was just joking. "No, thanks. I'm on a diet now, and I don't eat high-calorie food. Enjoy it when it's still warm. The shooting will begin soon."
"Eat it as much as you can." Stephen looked at Kylie with a pair of tender eyes.
Kylie then started to eat the soup.
However, she had a growing, strong feeling that Stephen wasn't so gentle as he looked on a superficial level.
A touch of evil flashed by his eyes once in a while.
"It's very delicious, thanks!" Kylie gave the soup bowl back to Stephen. "Why doesn't Dinah come here with you?"
"I have no idea what she's up to these days. She's always absent." Stephen put the soup bowl into the Thermos bucket. "Don't work too long, and I'll have a prenatal examination for you next week."
Before Kylie could say something, the production assistant ran over and told her the shooting began.
"I'm afraid I can't walk you out," Kylie said, standing up.
"It's fine. You can go back to work, and I need to deal with something at a nearby place." Stephen waved his hand at them, then left the set.
"Does Ethan know Stephen sends you soup?" Fannie asked Kylie in a low voice.
Kylie shook her head. The soup should be safe if he sent it here in everyone's sight.
It was the first day of the shooting of Oh, Mother, so the executive director didn't want the actors to feel stressed and ended it when it was just a little past five in the afternoon.

Fannie drove Kylie home, but Kylie told her to stop the car halfway.
"What's wrong?" Fannie asked and stopped the car by the roadside.
"What's that place over there?" Kylie pointed to a club.
"Earth Nightclub? It's a nightclub." Fannie looked out of the car window following Kylie's finger.
Kylie compressed her lips. "I think I just saw Vivian walking out from it."
"Vivian?" Fannie stared at the entrance. "I don't see her."
"Let's go. Probably it wasn't her." Kylie smiled.
When Kylie's car joined the traffic on the road, a woman slowly walked out from the back of a telephone booth.
Vivian's head was wrapped in a towel, and only her angry eyes were bare in the air.
She took out her phone and made a call. "Meet me half an hour later at the café."
Within 20 minutes, the door of the café was pushed open twice.
Faith glanced around but failed to see Vivian. Right when she was about to leave, she noticed a woman wrapped in thick clothes sitting at a corner waving at her.
She walked near. "Vivian? What happened to you?" Vivian's cheeks were red and swollen. She had a mouthful of coffee, then inhaled in great pain. There was a large bruise at the corner of her lips after she put down the coffee cup.
She took out a piece of paper from her bag and threw it in the front of Faith. "When can we begin?" She couldn't stand this torture any second longer.
Faith sat down across her. She picked the piece of paper up and rounded her eyes in shock when she read the words on it. It was the premises permit of a downtown house with the best location.
"We can begin right now, but you can't keep any secrets from me." Faith didn't look at Vivian until she put the premises permit well in her pocket.
"I'll tell you everything!" Vivian grasped the coffee cup, and the hatred in her eyes turned to be arrogant in a second.

Her good days were about to come.

They shared dinner at the Parker family's house tonight.
After dinner, Kylie had a walk with old Mrs. Parker in the garden. "Mom, the temperature is lower these days. Do remember to wear more clothes."
"I always move in cars, and I don't feel the coolness, but you can't wear thick clothing in the set, right? I heard the show setting is summer."
"I can put on thick clothing once the scene is over. It's fine." Kylie smiled. "Are you used to the service of the new housemaid?"
"Do you mean Jane? She's a good, diligent girl." Old Mrs. Parker stopped for a second. "She seems very happy recently. I think she probably heard some good news from her family."
"It's the happiest thing she feels to be able to serve you." Kylie and Old Mrs. Parker sat down on a bench.
Seeing there was nobody around, Kylie said in a quiet voice, "Mom, Adolph is in Seattle now, and I'll have a prenatal examination in Stephen's clinic next week. I'm afraid Ethan might run into him."
Hearing that, old Mrs. Parker looked serious. She thought for a while, then said, "They've never met before. I don't think they can recognize each other even though they run into one another, but they better not see each other."
"I think so, so can you..." Kylie blinked at old Mrs. Parker.
Old Mrs. Parker snorted with laughter. "I understand, you little naughty girl."
They chatted for a while longer, and the wind blew all of a sudden, so Kylie walked old Mrs. Parker to her room in case she was caught by a cold.
When Kylie was about to leave old Mrs. Parker's room, she encountered Jane, who served soup to old Mrs. Parker.
"Kylie!" Jane beamed the moment she saw Kylie. "I heard you came and wanted to say hello to you, but the kitchen is shorthanded, and I can't leave."
"It's fine." Kylie smiled. "How's your mother now?"
"Thank you so much for your help! My mother is fully recovered." There was a broad smile on Jane's face all the time, like what old Mrs. Parker had said.
"I heard old Mrs. Parker say that you're very happy these days. Do you have any good news?" Kylie asked.
"Yes." Jane approached Kylie and said in a low voice, "The area where my family lives is under demolition, and we got a large amount of money as compensation. I also feel happy that I can take care of old Mrs. Parker!"
"Ha-ha, glad to know that." Kylie smiled, then helped her push the door open. "Go inside now."
"Thanks!" Jane walked in at once.
Kylie then left for the front hall. She planned to find Ethan, and they could go back home earlier, but she noticed old Mr. Parker criticizing Matthew by chance.
"Idiot!" Old Mr. Parker snapped at Matthew. "Why couldn't you do anything well?"
Matthew lowered his head in silence, but he actually didn't care about it at all.
"I gave you the money for your business, not to..." Old Mr. Parker had a mouthful of his coffee, trying to calm himself down. "Don't go there again!"
Matthew finally raised his head, but Kylie almost screamed in a scare when she saw his face.
She hadn't seen him just for a few days. Although he had a ruddy face and bright eyes, his cheeks were hollow. Even his hair was half less than before.
"Father, I don't have any motherly hobbies, but I just love exercise." Matthew pouted. "If you forbid me to do that, I would rather die!"
"Don't fool me! You're not exercising, but ruining yourself!" Old Mr. Parker abruptly threw the coffee cup at Matthew, but it fell on the ground and broke into small pieces.
All of a sudden, a hand covered Kylie's mouth from her back. She stiffened and moved around at a slow pace.

Mana Soul
Like many others across the multiverse, Markus was chosen as this world's hero to fight against the steadily approaching cataclysm. Only, something went horribly wrong. Left with only a handful of memories, Markus has spent years clawing his way up from poverty and officially registered as an adventurer to try and make his fortune. Unfortunately, Artificers are the least combat-capable class of the four classes, and Markus has no connections to join an established party. With the fate of countless worlds hanging in the balance, a chance meeting will determine the course of a war nearly as old as reality itself. Warning: Markus has trauma induced amnesia and will occasionally 'act out of character' or make 'poorly thought out' decisions. These events are rather obvously telegraphed abd represent conflicts between his current personality and the one repressed alongside his trauma. Just something to bear in mind. The story will bounce predominantly back and forth between the primary protagonists every couple of chapters. The time stream is linear, so events are not revisted/rehashed/retold through the narrative format. Characters may comment on something that has occurred, but that's different. Just giving a heads up.Chapters will be around 7-9k and updated 1/week on the same schedule as my other story Ogre Tyrant over the weekend.[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
