Dinah soon left after she stayed for a short while.

Kylie was confused and asked Ethan, "What did I just say?"

"A few words." Ethan pulled her hand, walking back to their room, and kept reminding her to be careful when they walked upstairs.

"I can walk myself." Kylie rolled her eyes at him, but she almost stepped on the air the next second. "Ah!"

Ethan caught her in his arms and said, "I told you to be careful."

"Mrs. Parker, Lucas just came and told me to give you this." Lucy walked over and gave Kylie a file.

Kylie took it and had a look. It was the script of Oh, Mother that Ethan had chosen for her.

"He's very efficient." Kylie was satisfied and showed it before Ethan's face.

"I'm going to work now, and I'm afraid I won't have much time playing with you at home." He said.

"Mrs. Parker, are you going to film?" Lucy asked with a broad smile. "What's your role this time? Is it an action movie again?"

Kylie laughed. "Nope, but a mother of a 5-year-old kid, and an unruly daughter-in-law."

"You're not an unruly daughter-in-law at all!" Lucy said. "If my daughter-in-law were as a tenth good as you, I would be the happiest mother-in-law in this world!"

"Oh, you have a daughter-in-law?" Kylie's face lit up. "Come on, why don't we find a room and talk about it. I need to learn from you." Saying that she pulled Lucy walking upstairs.

"Mrs. Parker, I only know how to cook." Lucy looked to Ethan for help.

Ethan, however, ignored her and walked away.

Kylie brought Lucy to a baby's room, then they sat on the floor face to face.

"Would you please tell me why you're not satisfied with your daughter-in-law?" Kylie sat cross-legged in front of Lucy.

She wanted to learn from Lucy and understand the conflicts between a daughter-in-law and a mother-in-law so that she could play the role well in the new show.

Lucy relaxed a lot when Kylie just wanted to chat with her and became talkative. "My grandchild is studying in a primary school, but my daughter-in-law never takes good care of him. All she cares about is her appearance."

Kylie nodded. "Could you please elaborate on that?"

Lucy then started to complain about her daughter-in-law. "My grandson gets up at seven am, so she does! It isn't a big deal, but she begins to wear make-up the moment she gets up and doesn't prepare breakfast for the kid!"

"She spends the whole morning on it, and take the kid to have breakfast on the street! It's not healthy and not good for the kid's development."

Kylie remembered she had read that plot in the script. Art indeed came from life.

Kylie's role in the show was the mother of Peter Johnson, who was a 5-year-old boy.

She was a white-collar worker in a big company, and busy dealing with her clients and colleagues every day.

She was afraid her colleagues would surpass her in the company, so she barely had a free day or vacation. She was afraid those young girls would surpass her in society, so she spent a lot of time on her appearance.

She was a typical career woman in midlife crisis but chose to quit her job to take care of her kids studying and became a full-time mother at the end. However, she had a divorce and remarriage with her husband afterward.

If Lucy's daughter-in-law was in the same situation as Peter's mother in the show, Kylie thought she might help them improve their in-law relationship.

"What's your daughter-in-law's job?" Kylie asked Lucy.

"Who knows. She sometimes comes home drunk and vomits everywhere." Lucy frowned with dislike. Kylie stayed patient. "Lucy, do you think I have a good job?"

"Of course, yes." Lucy's eyes lit up at once. "Mrs. Parker, you're a famous actress, and people respect you no matter where you go."

After that, she glanced around, then said to Kylie in a low voice, "To be honest with you. My relatives didn't say anything even though they got to know I work for the Parker family, but they all wanted to hear gossip about you ever since they found out I can see you. Don't worry, Mrs. Parker. I won't tell them anything."

Kylie laughed, then held Lucy's hand. "Well, do you know how hard it is to become a famous actress from nobody in the entertainment industry?"

Lucy moved her lips but didn't say a word. She, of course, had heard of negative news about Kylie before.

"If an actor wants to get a good role, it's unavoidable to drink with directors. Sometimes, the actor has to accept unspoken rules as well." Saying that Kylie looked serious. "Everyone wants to be famous, but there is no fairness in this industry. If you want to gain something, you must pay for it first."

Lucy nodded but still disagreed. "My daughter-in-law isn't an actor after all."

"Well, no pain, no gain. This rule works in every industry." Kylie smiled. "Your daughter-in-law is fighting for a brighter future for her kid. If you don't understand or support her, she might be helpless."

Lucy knew she couldn't win Kylie in an argument, but she still didn't think her daughter-in-law was right. "She seems energetic every day. I don't think she needs my support."

It was impossible to persuade someone to change their values within just a few minutes, and Kylie wasn't in a hurry either. She smiled and asked, "Is there anything else that you're dissatisfied with your daughter-in-law?"

"There are so many things I can complain about her," Lucy said.

If Ethan hadn't come over and told Kylie to go to bed, Kylie might have talked with Lucy all night long.

"Oh, I'm so sorry for delaying your bedtime, Mrs. Parker." Lucy apologized.

After the long talk with Kylie, Lucy suddenly felt her daughter-in-law wasn't that bad as she thought.

"I should thank you for the stories, Lucy." Kylie was very excited and didn't feel sleepy at all.

Ethan carried her up in his arms, striding towards the bedroom.

"Lucy, good night!" Kylie said, then leaned on Ethan's chest. "I've collected many interesting stories about mother-in-laws and daughter-in-law. Do you want to hear some?"

"I just want to f*ck you," Ethan said with a smile on his lips.

Kylie gently knocked her fist against his chest and flushed.

A few seconds later, Kylie felt sleepy in Ethan's arms.

She pulled his sleeping gown and whispered, "Ethan, are you hypnotic drugs?"

Ethan smiled. "Wasn't you very excited just then?"

"I felt so sleepy the moment you carried me in your arms." Kylie straightened her body all of a sudden and bit his jaw. "I want you, baby."

"Anytime." Ethan opened the door with his ankle, then gently put her down on the bed. Kylie hugged his neck and pulled him to fall down on the bed together.

Ethan supported his body against the bed at the sides of her body with his hand at once, in case he pressed her belly. "Tell me, how do you want to play tonight?"
