Loving A STRANGER Chapter 372

The last second when he passed out, the assistant director saw a man in a khaki windbreaker.
The premiere came to a perfect end.
The media were impressed by Kylie's performance in the movie. When publishing film reviews, it was inevitable for them to praise her.
Like what Lucas had believed, Kylie once again made headlines of the entertainment news.
Without any doubt, William was amid criticisms again. As long as the news was about Kylie, many Internet users would mention his name below it.
Playboy became William's other name.
In the Finch family's house.
Kylie received Bob's call, and he told her to attend the International Film Festival. Even if she couldn't get any prize, she could broaden her horizons.
Kylie, who was pregnant, lay on the sofa looking at Ethan for his advice.
The man put down the documents in his hand and smiled. "Attend it if you want to. Just take it as a vacation."
"But..." Kylie put her foot on Ethan's legs, pouting. "The international awards are not like our domestic ones. Nobody will know who is on the shortlist for the prize."
"You're not on the list anyway." Ethan held her cold feet in his big palms to warm them up.
Kylie rolled her eyes at him. "But I'll be looking forward to it. You know that the bigger the expectation is, the greater the disappointment will be. I'm afraid I can't control myself."
The man snorted with laughter. "You just want to get the prize."
"The soldiers who don't want to be generals aren't good soldiers!"
"You don't have many film works. It's already a great chance for you to attend the International Film Festival. Relax a little, and you'll gain more."
Although Ethan was right, Kylie still felt uncomfortable in her heart.
"Will you send someone to attend the festival from your company?" Kylie asked.

"Yes. She's also a great actress." Ethan nodded.
Kylie suddenly remembered the mysterious document in Ethan's hands the other day. Was he going to bring fame to the actress who was going to participate in the International Film Festival?
Thinking of that, Kylie made up her mind that she must attend the festival too.
Even though she wasn't on the shortlist, she was determined to fix her eyes on Ethan from the beginning to the end!
Like what Sally had said to her, even though Ethan was married, countless women still ached to be his mistresses.
"I'll call Director Miller right now!" Kylie jumped down from the sofa, running to the balcony.
Seeing her running away, Ethan smiled.
Kylie hid in the place where Ethan couldn't hear her and called Director Miller back. "Hi, Director Miller, I've made up my mind to attend the International Film Festival. I think it's a great chance."
"Glad to hear that. You still lack experience as an actress, so you must learn from your seniors."
"Yes, you're right." Kylie smiled.
"Well, the assistant director will attend the festival on behalf of our crew too, and you two can go there together."
"I know. I'll contact him later."
Kylie hung up the phone, then checked the calendar. There was still a week away from the International Film Festival. She must arrange the surgery for Sally as soon as possible.
"Star, is it convenient for you to talk now?" Kylie asked.
"Of course. Whenever you call me, it's convenient." Stephen, who was reading documents, took off his glasses and pinched the middle of his eyebrows.
He felt so tired just then but was cheered up once Kylie called him.
"Do you still remember Sally?" Kylie asked.
"Yes, didn't you say that she's not ready for the surgery yet?" Stephen got up and went to the bookshelf to take out a folder containing the treatments he had collected according to Sally's condition.

"Yes, but she's changed her mind, and I want to help her." Kylie paused, then continued feeling a little embarrassed. "You're working in your family's company now. If it's not convenient for you to do that, you can introduce a doctor you trust to me."
"Besides me, who will you trust?" Stephen chuckled, and he would never hesitate to help Kylie.
"But..." She wasn't willing to see Stephen argue with his family again because of her.
He just went back to work in his family's business, after all, and it could be difficult for him to leave.
"Don't worry. I'll handle it."
"Um, I'm going to attend the International Film Festival next week. Could you be quick?" Kylie asked, feeling a little guilty.
"No problem. I'll call you once I arrange the operating room well." Stephen hung up the phone and called the doctor, who took over his clinic to arrange an operating room as soon as possible.
Sally's surgery was arranged on the third day. When she was pushed into the operating room, she pulled a man's hand. "If any accidents happen to me, don't blame anyone. Today's results are all God's decisions."
The man's tender look at her could melt everything in the world. "I'll wait for you here, and death won't take you away from me."
Sally once again gave Kylie a glance, then was pushed into the operating room.
Kylie was nervous and restless, while the man was very calm standing by the window.
He stared at the traffic on the road, like he just finished watching a wonderful movie and was waiting for his girlfriend, who just left for the washroom.
"Aren't you nervous at all?" Kylie asked with curiosity.
The man looked over and smiled. "That's because you don't know Doctor Cecil's medical skills. As long as he wants to save someone's life, the person won't die in any situation."
The man said with confidence, but Kylie was struck dumb for a second.
Really, Stephen, that so good at medicine?
Before she asked further, the man showed a mocking smile. "Similarly, if he wants someone to die, no one can escape."
Hearing that, a fact dawned on Kylie.
If he was telling the truth, then Stephen never had planned to hurt her. Otherwise, she couldn't have woken up so soon, given Stephen's unbelievable medical skills.
Could it be possible that she was still under Stephen's control?
Kylie pinched her arm and felt great pain.
Alright, she had to admit it was a little over.
The two had waited for about half an hour at the door, and the lights in the operating room were off. Stephen, who was wearing a white coat, walked out at first.
"Everything goes well. It's a benign tumor, and she'll be fine soon."
"Thank you so much, Doctor Cecil." The man took the initiative to shake hands with him, but Stephen just gave him a glance. "Why are you willing to let me do the surgery?"
It seemed they already knew each other, and there was something unpleasant that had happened between them before from their tone.
The man's face once again showed the self-deprecating smile. "If Sally didn't insist on trusting Kylie and choosing you, I would rather let her die."
Kylie was astonished. She glanced at Stephen and the man. Stephen looked at her, then shook hands with the man.
"I hope we'll never meet again."
"I hope we'll never meet again."
They said that at the same time.

Broken Skulls, a Skeleton's Tale
Summoned as a Skeleton with no name, and unable to remember who he was. On the second floor of a dungeon in the heart of a city, with adventurers all seeking fortune and glory in its depths. No weapons. No Armor. No name. Only the grim determination to stay alive... At all costs. ---------------------------- Author's Note: This is the first story I've attempted writing in roughly seven years. While my writing style may be a bit rusty, I hope to be able to provide nothing more than a good book to sit down and read for awhile. P.S. I might not be able to be consistent with updates to the story, but I'll do my best! I hope you enjoy! ---------------------------- Cover art done by ShayeSoForgetful.

Luck And Chronomancy
Time Magic is the best magic as everyone knows, although there are lots of unique Talents in the world. Most people only remember Haste because it is hard to get to higher Phases of Chronomancy. That is still enough to make the Talent iconic. A lucky enough Aleatory Talent can position you for greatness or leave you languishing in obscurity. The only true equality in the world is when that glowing message pops up at 8 years old. Even if it doesn't activate until you are an adult at 16 you still know. Sure you can find a new dungeon spawn and get another chance at a rare Talent, even this one, but you have to already be ready to delve into the *Far Wilds*, which is far easier with wealth or family power. This is the story of where my good fortune took me and the difference it made, even among a party of 7 others including an Arcanist. It is a journey of magic and monsters but also math, which some think is actually worse. Luckily I was born with Intelligence and Focus as my personal traits, and my parents were scholars. Of course Chronomancy can also be a frontline combat talent. Versitility well beyond other Elder Talents like Gravity, Abstraction, or Arcana. Might could have worked for me, too. I also met a runaway princess. All the best adventures have a princess. She hated being a noble and we didn't get married but it still counts. Besides she really filled out our front line. All that Leadership training came in handy. I still don't know where she's from. Who cares? How well Haste goes with giant hammers is what's important. I never learned much about anyone in the party, except the one I grew up with. I'm not a people person. I just wanted to optimize dungeon clearing time. *******Story Details******* No romance, politics, or traumatizing content, slice of life, or even dialogue. 1st person narration, like a guide/adventure log. 2000-7000 words a day, maybe 40-60% rpgish combat log with some reasoning on combat decisions, with the rest character Talent discussion and progression stuff. 8 person party with a decent variety in roles. Party members usually have 2 primary functions. Told from the support/control Chronomancer's perspective. Each party member will have 6 Basic/Background Traits, then 3 actual Talents with abilities. Capstone from their Educational Institution, Arbritrary as a gift from the temples, and Aleatory which is decided at birth, revealed at 8, and activated after adulthood at 16. Aleatory Traits ignore requirements and are random why is why they are so important. They'll gain new Talents from finding Dungeons to consume in the *Wilds*. Mature dungeons in cities can provide *Challenges* to raise the Phase of a Talent, up to 3 times from 1 to 4. Each character will get to roughly 8 non-Trait Talents. Attributes come exclusive from Talents, are required by Talents, and provide various effects as well. I designed about 220 Talents with abilities, 4 in each of 4 phases. "Traits" are just Attribute stuff. I'm not sure how many will be detailed in the story, more than 100 for sure. I used Talents because I want to be free of the legacy of tabletop. Half those rules are just because of the limitations inherent in a pre-computer ttrpg. This story mostly uses combat Talents, although like 1/3 of the 220 are for crafting and other society and economy stuff. If you really wanted to be a Thief you might take Intuition, Awarness, and Might for Basic Traits and Deftness, Manipulation, and Trickery for Family/Education. Then you'd pick Acrobatics, and Climbing for Educational Capstone and Arbitrary traits. You Aleatory Trait might be Shadow(Light/Dark) Magic, Umbramancy. A Bard might swap Dexterity for Charisma, Music for Acrobatics, and have gotten Illusion(Shadow/Sound(Air/Force)) for their Aleatory Trait.
