Loving A STRANGER Chapter 354

Everyone turned to look at the female reporter.
Kylie had hit the point.
Most of them stayed outside of the film and television base. When they saw the emergence of big-name stars, they would catch up to have an interview or ask about the progress of the filming.
However, the female reporter had come here earlier than anyone else. How did she know that there would be a fire accident?
Had she started the fire?
The female reporter got into a panic when her peers were all bombarding her with questions. "Don't listen to Kylie Finch! I saw her, and the assistant director came out one after another with my own eyes. There must be some dirty things that they want to hide..."
However, those reporters apparently had no intention to let her go, and she was surrounded in the center of the crowd.
Kylie gave her a cold glance, then walked away.
It was obvious that this female reporter was just a pawn, but she only had seen the assistant director and Kylie. Where was Lauren?
The only possibility was that she hadn't been there when the house had been set on fire, and it was the arsonist who had told her that the assistant director came out first.
And when Lauren ran to the outside in Kylie's windbreaker, the arsonist must have mistaken Lauren as Kylie and abducted Lauren away.
Thinking of that, Kylie changed the direction in which she walked and turned to where she had seen the glare flashing.
She was right. Under one of the thickest big banyan trees was abandoned her black windbreaker.

When Kylie went back to the film set, she cleaned the dry powder on her hands and body first, then found the assistant director.
No wonder why the female reporter said he was disheveled.
The assistant director escaped in panic and grabbed a pair of trousers without looking at it. He now was wearing Lauren's wide-leg pants, but the waist was too thin for him to fasten the button, so his underpants were still bare in the air.

"Ahem!" Kylie coughed a little.
The assistant director then noticed Kylie was there and walked to her.
"Kylie, didn't you go have a rest?"
Kylie turned her head away, pointing at his pants.
The assistant director found out he had put on the wrong clothes, and felt quite embarrassed. "Um...I...you..." He picked up the costumes to tie around his waist at once.
Kylie stood with her back, facing the assistant director. "Lauren disappeared.
The assistant director was a little surprised, then pretended he was innocent. "Lauren was fired just then. Probably she went home."
"Lauren didn't go home, and you should be very clear about it." Kylie continued, "I just rescued her from the room, but she's gone now."
The assistant director didn't know what to say and opened his mouth after a long while. "Please don't tell Chairman Parker. I'm begging you..."
"If you don't want me to tell him, you'll be responsible for bringing Lauren back," Kylie said, then walked away without giving him a glance.
She couldn't let Ethan know it now, so she could only tell the assistant director to find Lauren.
However, just when Kylie walked out, she received Ethan's call. Once she answered his call, he asked in anxiety.
"Kylie, are you alright? Did you get hurt? Were you scared? Do you know the reason why the fire was started?"
Kylie was surprised that the news went abroad so fast in the Internet age now.
"I'm fine. It was the next room that caught fire. I don't know the reason yet. Probably it was because of the aging of electrical circuits," Kylie lied.
Ethan was still very worried about her. "I'll pick you up right away."
"Don't. I'm fine." Kylie stopped him. "Well, it's all because of Lauren that I could escape from the fire this time. She went to my room to apologize to me, then found the next room was on fire."

"Lauren?"
"Yeah, I think she apologized with sincerity. Can we give her another chance?" Lauren did escape from the fire, so Kylie decided to fulfill her promise.
Ethan, of course, understood why Kylie said that.
Nobody knew he had booked a room for Kylie at that B&B. He even told the reception to keep it a secret, so it was impossible that Lauren had come to her room to apologize to her.
Since Kylie wanted to give Lauren another chance, he who always listened to his wife wouldn't disagree.
"It depends on you," he said, "but if she bad-mouths you again, I won't let her get away with it."
"Sure, thanks." Kylie had worked in the film set until the early morning of the next day, but Lauren was still nowhere to be found.
When Dinah came to protect her, she was wearing obvious dark circles.
"Did you meet his parents?" Kylie asked.
Dinah sighed and shook her head. "Nope, I went back that night alone. He said he had something to talk about with his parents."
Kylie patted Dinah's shoulder and encouraged her. "Cheer up! I think you'll get Stephen for sure."
"Me too!" Dinah smiled. "He already handed his clinic over to someone else. It seems he's going to work in his father's company today."
Kylie thought for a while. "Star has told me his parents are expecting him to have children. I think you can have a try."
Dinah's eyes lit up. "How come I didn't think of it." After that, she looked at Kylie, smiling, which scared Kylie.
"What?" Kylie rolled her eyes.
"Do me a favor." Dinah approached her, then said in a low voice, "Go meet Stephen's parents."
"Me?" Kylie pointed at her nose with confusion, but soon realized Dinah's aim. "Fine." They chatted for a while longer before Kylie asked her a serious question.
"Do you know how Dora is doing recently?"
Dinah bit her lips and seemed cornered.
"Kylie, it's impossible that she can be with Ethan. Ethan never likes her. You don't need to be worried."
The more unwilling Dinah was to tell her the truth, Kylie was more suspicious.
"Why are you so reluctant to tell me the latest news about her? Did Ethan hide her somewhere?"
Dinah was struck dumb for a second, then grinned. "Impossible! Ethan will never hide her in the basement..." Dinah blurted it out all of a sudden, then shut her mouth at once.
Kylie was shocked.
"I'll count to three. If you don't tell me the truth, I'll call Ethan and tell him that you persuade me to divorce him!" Kylie said to Dinah.
Dinah bit her lips, then finally gave in.
Kylie knew Dinah was afraid of Ethan the most, so she said it on purpose.
Kylie also knew Ethan hated anyone who disagreed on whether she married him the most, so she put the accent on that.
Ever since Kylie had been with Ethan, she gradually learned how to hit people's most vulnerable part.
Dinah was silent for a while, then raised her head looking at Kylie. "Lord Ethan sent Dora abroad. Although she lives a good life in a foreign country now, her freedom is limited."
