Loving A STRANGER Chapter 142

Kylie took out a photo of their mother and pushed it across the table so that Khloe could see it. "You want me to forget about Aiden," Kylie laughed, "but before I do, I want you to kneel before my mother and apologize to her. If you do it, I might consider your request,"
Khloe's body went stiff as her eyes swept over the photo, and a flash of anger appeared on her face. She tried to act calmly, though, and said, "Why? I did nothing wrong! Why should I need to apologize to a dead person?"
"Let's not play games," Kylie said seriously. "It was you who drove her to attempt suicide. Do you think I didn't know the reason for my mother's death?"
"I did not," Khloe snarled.
Kylie raised her hand and slapped her sister across the face. "I will give you one more chance," she said while Khloe nursed her sore cheek. "Take responsibility for once in your life!" She screamed.
"Emily Garcia is a slut," Khloe hissed. "She was an adulterer, and any harm she attempted on herself was a direct result of the shame and guilt she carried. None of that had anything to do with me! It's her own actions that drive her into a painful death," Khloe retorted. She didn't care what Kylie had to say. She would not do what she said nor apologize to Kylie's mother.
Kylie stood up quickly, turned, and left, leaving Khloe to cover the bill. "Kylie," Khloe called after her, "I love Aiden. If you don't love him, why can't you leave him alone?"
Hearing this question, Kylie turned back to face her sister. She strolled back to the table and casually opened the collar of Khloe's shirt to reveal the love bites on her neck and collar bone. "You are absolutely pathetic. You're a big liar even the evidence is clear still acting like you've done nothing," she sighed. "I am embarrassed to share blood with you."

Khloe's face turned white, but then she saw Aiden's mother, Taylor, strolling over, and her frown turned upside down. It was obvious by the speed of her approach that she had discerned the topic of their conversation.
Taylor pulled Kylie away from Khloe and said, "Kylie, Ethan dumped you, but that doesn't mean that you have any chance with my son. Furthermore, as long as I'm alive, you are unwelcome in our home!"
Taylor seized Kylie's hand. "Apologize to Khloe! Do it immediately," she demanded. "You can't leave until you have earned her forgiveness! It would be best if you begged for her forgiveness," Once again, Taylor yelled at her.
"Fuck her forgiveness! Who cares about her forgiveness? Why would I apologize to a disgusting and liar woman?" Kylie snarled as she rolled her eyes disdainfully. "What place is it of yours to act all high and mighty when everyone knows the truth about your son?!?!?"
Hearing this, Taylor was so furious that blue veins stood out on her temples. She held tight to Kylie's hand, though, and continued to prevent her from leaving. Kylie smiled and pushed hard on Taylor's injured arm until the pain was too much for her to handle, and she released her grip.
Once she was free, Kylie spat in Taylor's face, turned around, and walked away, once again leaving Khloe with the bill. Once she was gone, Taylor looked at Khloe with pity. She was truly disappointed by her son's choice in women. She can't accept that their family would get involved with all the drama and scandals with this family, but her son chose Khloe. He supported his choices one hundred percent, but that did not mean that she thought they were right. She had seen what people said about her online, which was why she'd never visited her in the hospital. She feels shame accepting Khloe too as their future-daughter-in law, but her son made a decision.

Once all the bad press had begun to spread, she had expected that her son would call off their engagement, but he had insisted that he marry Khloe. Now that she had her in front of her, she decided to offer her money to walk away from Aiden. She felt she needed to find a way to get her family out of touch with Khloe's scandal. Before she could, though, Khloe burst into tears. She was shocked by her reaction because she hadn't even said the purpose of approaching her then Khloe suddenly burst into a loud cry.
Taylor sighed, touched her hair, and said, "Don't cry. It's not your fault. The bitch is truly too difficult to deal with… We will find ways to get even to her. I can't let this pass easily," She said furiously and determined to take action against Kylie in the future. She can't allow that woman to bully her family member, though Khloe is not yet married to Aiden, seeing her situation a minute ago she can't forgive Kylie easily.
Taylor drew a tissue out of her purse and handed it to Khloe. "You're still young," she continued. "You'll be pregnant again before you know it…"
Taylor had been about to say more when she saw the love-bites on Khloe's neck, and she frowned in disgust. In her time, no respectable woman would allow a man to do this. Then again, Taylor did not consider Khloe to be an honest woman.
Khloe had miscarried, which was why she'd been in hospital. Being pregnant, it had really not been appropriate for her to be so fierce on the bed. It is no wonder, Taylor thought to herself, "that you had a miscarriage. It is your own fault. You did even care that you carried a baby and have done sex with my son, so disgusting!"
Khloe stopped crying and tidied up her collar and asked Taylor if Aiden was out of the hospital yet. Taylor frowned and refused to answer the question. She said that she did not want to talk about that. "I'll ask the driver to take you home to rest," she said instead. "Let's talk about it some other time."

Giantslayer
Synopsis: Alain is a fledgling Giantslayer, enhanced individuals capable of killing deadly giants. But these giants are not big, they are what ancient humans would refer to as mundane animals or beasts. 'The Final Curse' as many humans call it, was a curse that shrunk down the entire human population to the size of small rodents. When the curse first occurred, the majority of the human population was eaten by beasts who are now of towering heights and sizes. But their abandoned gargantuan structures were not built for naught, the remaining humans retreated back into their now giant buildings and rebuild societies and nations inside of them. Follow Alain in his quest to right the wrongs done to his past and hunt down the elusive and mythical Elder Giants, giants capable of intellects and speech. Are they real? Alain certainly insists so despite no one believing him. But perhaps it did not matter, they were real enough to him for what they did to his family. A/N: I'm pretty new to writing creatively so I hope to improve as we move along the story. The prose I use is still fairly simple and 'plain', but I am also new to literature in general so I am hoping to improve my vocabulary as well. It should also come under no surprise that I am a non-native English speaker and writer as well. With that said, I do appreciate constructive feedback. Please don't be overly mean at least. All the chapters are rough drafts that will be edited in the future. The cover is by this user from pixiv: https://www.pixiv.net/en/users/4545042
