Loving A STRANGER Chapter 107

Ethan woke up first, naturally opening his eyes to the bright sunlight filtering through the window. Looking down, he saw Kylie snuggled up to him, still sound asleep. He smiled when he heard that Kylie was softly snoring. Brushing his thumb over her cheek, Ethan leaned down and kissed her soft cheek, still warm from being snuggled against him.
Kylie shifted at the touch, and her eyes fluttered open to Ethan's smiling face.
"Good morning, beautiful," Ethan softly whispered while stroking her curly hair.
"Your hair is very much like you."
"Beautiful?" Kylie asked, smiling mischievously.
"Stubborn," Ethan replied, seriously trying hard to hide his smirk.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Kylie was embarrassed at the penetrating gaze of Ethan.
"Do you have work to do?" He said while smiling.
"I have to ask the company. I don't know yet." Kylie stretched and yawned.
Ethan bent over and kissed her exposed collarbone, "I want to take you home right now."
Kylie laughed and looked at him, "What are we going to do at home? The same thing we are doing here?" she winked at him.
"And what are we doing there? Shall we continue?" Ethan hoarsely asked.
"We shall," Kylie replied with excitement in her eyes.

Aiden was feeling like shit; he had a pounding headache, and his body ached from the fight he had with his uncle. On top of that, he was about to become a father? What the hell was happening to his life? He walked to Khloe's room to talk to her. Somehow, he knew that there was another story behind this, and he was going to extract it out of Khloe no matter what.
Khloe was sitting on the sofa, and there were tear tracks on her face. Aiden felt a little bad at seeing her crying face.

"Aiden..." Khloe ran to him and wrapped her arms around his waist, "I thought you were leaving me..."
"Khloe, are you really pregnant?" Aiden disregarded her question and got straight to the point. Khloe's body froze at Aiden's strict question and burst into tears again.
"Aiden! I can't believe you're even asking me that! Why would I lie to you about that...Or you are saying that you want to be with my sister, so you're hoping I'm not pregnant?"
"That's not what I meant," Aiden sighed tiredly.
"Aiden, I love you...I made some mistakes before, but I was so stressed, with work, with family, with Kylie! I was afraid of losing everything! But I love you, Aiden!"
"Okay, don't cry anymore," Aiden replied. "Khloe, I will help you get back into the industry. You will not lose anything."
"Aiden, I don't need anything else! I only want you. I want to be with you." She wiped off the tears and looked at Aiden, "I don't care about the money or roles. You are way more important than them."
Aiden did not say anything in response; in fact, he seemed a little lost at Khloe's admission.
Seeing Aiden's hesitation and lack of reaction, Khloe took out her cell and called Lucas, "Lucas, make an appointment at the hospital for me. I am going to have an abortion."
"Don't be fucking crazy," Aiden yelled and ran over, yanking the cell out of Khloe's hands. "Why are you always like this? I didn't say that I don't want this baby."
"But this baby will be a barricade between you and my sister...I don't want to be your burden." Khloe tearfully replied, shedding tears. All of a sudden, Khloe swayed as if she was about to faint. She suddenly leaned over, falling in Aiden's arms.

"Khloe! Khloe, what happened?! Are you feeling ill?" Aiden grabbed her tightly and walked her over to the sofa, trying to comfort her, "After all these years, you still haven't understood the real me. Don't talk nonsense anymore. Be happy about your baby." Aiden replied, but inside, he was feeling something completely different. Aiden was determined to get back to Kylie and also his baby. He just needed to calm Khloe down first.
He did not care about Khloe, but she was still carrying his child.
"Really?" Khloe smiled, lying within his arms, "Aiden, we will have a healthy baby. I know it. This will make me so happy." Aiden smiled but frowned when he saw how Khloe took a completely different turn. One second she was about to pass out; the next second, she was beaming like she got her favorite toy.
"As long as you and the baby are healthy, I am happy." Aiden stood up and poured a glass of water for her, "Don't panic; you need to stay calm for the baby."
Khloe nodded, "You're right. I need to relax. For the baby." She took the glass of water from Aiden and drank.
Aiden nodded and stood up, hoping to leave her room. His headache was intensified ten times with Khloe's high pitched voice.
He walked towards the door and was about to leave, but Khloe interrupted him, "Aiden, aren't you going to stay?"
"You should rest, Khloe. I will pick you up tomorrow morning..." Then he kissed her forehead.
"But..."
"Go to sleep Khloe. Remember, you need to rest. Don't worry too much, okay?"
As soon as Aiden left her room, Khloe rushed toward her bag and grabbed her cell. "Mom, he left. He believed me! But mom, how can I get pregnant now?"
"Don't panic, sweet pea. Try to hold him for as long as you can. We will come up with a better solution."
"Then, you must hurry. I can't fake this for a long time." Khloe fell back on her bed. "When his mother finds out, she will take me to the hospital. She will find out."
Alice Davis was relaxing with a glass of wine on her veranda. She was quiet as she listened to her daughter, ranting about how she had trapped Aiden with a fake pregnancy.
"I have an idea," Alice spoke up, interrupting Khloe. "You should call Aiden's Mom now to ask her to take you to the hospital."
"Are you crazy?" Khloe yelled out.
"Relax, Khloe; I will take care of it for you." Alice comforted her high-strung daughter and hung up the phone. She then called one of her close friends, who was a gynecologist.
"Hey, Mary! Are you still working at that private hospital? Can I ask you for a favor?"

This story is told in a first-person limited, conversational style, with Emmett occasionally breaking the 4th wall and addressing the reader directly. This means that YOU and Emmett may have absolutely no idea why stuff is happening, because there will be little or no exposition or other POV's. Read the comments for spoilers, ask questions if you want to know something. This work incorporates blended aspects of Xianxia, Wuxia, Super powers, and Western Magic into a post-apocalyptic fantasy adventure. It is none of those things and all those things, mashed together. The MC is Over Powered, but so are many, many others. He just hasn't met them yet. Dear Student, What follows is an adaption of the diary of Emmett Carter before his Ascension. While the decades during and after the Aurora Apocalypse are lost to us, the Ascended himself has allowed us to publish this work so long as we warn the reader that it may not be entirely accurate or present an unbiased viewpoint of the events. One should also note that the Aurora was in flux during that time and some things that were possible in the early days are no longer possible, especially with the advent of the Akashic record. Editors have included footnotes when possible to explain pre-aurora technologies or concepts and how they relate to current magical technologies. The contents of this work may upset readers. If you’ve ever been in a natural disaster, had a house fire, witnessed a murder, lost a loved one to violence, or have a strong opinion on the sanctity of life, please do not read this. It contains dramatic scenes of a world in the throes of an apocalyptic event. There are no rainbows and unicorns, only loss, uncertainty, and death while the survivors struggle to rebuild their lives. Updates Thursdays and Sundays for now.
