Loving A STRANGER Chapter 93

Suddenly, a black SUV with black tinted windows pulled up in front of her. A man stepped out from the driver's seat wearing a black suit and sunglasses.
"Faith Cruz? Please come with me." Elliot said to her expressionlessly. Seeing his attitude so cold and firm, Faith immediately became alert.
"Stay back! I've learned karate, if you get closer, I'll kill you!"
Elliot's face was still cold. "If you're Faith Cruz, maybe I can kill you first." His tone was flat.
"You...Kylie sent you?"
"..." Elliot certainly would not give her an answer. He simply turned and headed towards the vehicle. Though she did not at all want to get inside an unknown car with a man she had never met before, she reasoned that only Kylie knew she was here, so the man was definitely taking her to see Kylie. So, quickly she walked over and hesitantly got inside the luxurious car.
When Faith saw that the man was driving her towards Toprak Mansion, Faith's mouth dropped open with surprise. Only the rich and famous lived in this neighborhood, every single one of these mansions cost millions of dollars.
"Um, where are you taking me? Who is your boss?" Faith could no longer help but ask the reclusive driver.
Again, Elliot said nothing but looked straight ahead.
Faith's excitement was dampened by Elliot's lack of emotion, and again she started to feel the fear creeping back. She sat close to the door, watching intensely and memorizing the roads. She was afraid that if she was driven out, she would not even know the way to escape.
The car finally came to a halt at the gate of Toprak Mansion. Faith was asked to get out of the car. She stood at the marble stairs and saw Kylie standing by the front door of the huge mansion. She was wearing nightwear, a silky red robe, and had no makeup on. A medium-sized dog stood beside her and watched Faith alertly. Kylie's beauty was so inadvertent, but, at the same time, hit people's hearts, even Faith was bewitched by her.

"Kylie, are you...are you a mistress…what is going on here? Why…?" Faith grasped Kylie's arms and whispered, "How can you sacrifice yourself just for revenge? Come! Let's go, let's get out of here…"
"Faith, wait," Kylie replied, trying to stop Faith from tugging her down the stairs, "I've got something to tell you, but you have to stay calm." Kylie gestured for Faith to follow her inside.
Faith did not know where to look: at the tastefully decorated mansion or at Kylie, who was leading her towards a sofa.
"Let me guess you signed some sort of intimacy contract with a rich old man, and now you can't leave?"
"No..." Kylie chuckled at Faith.
"Oh, thank God!" Faith sighed in relief.
"I'm married."
Faith stared at Kylie, dumbfounded before bursting into loud laughter, "You're joking, right?"
"No, Faith, I'm not joking."
"You're crazy! Married? How can you get married!? What about your career? Are you kidding me?" Faith went off in a tirade and started pacing the living room floor.
Faith turned around ready to lay into Kylie, but another's presence stopped her from speaking. Kylie guessed it was Ethan who had stopped Faith from speaking further, thank God she muttered to herself. She could not take any more of Faith's screeching. Ethan had showered and donned on a pair of black jeans, a black muscle shirt which contrasted with his pale skin. He looked like a Greek God.
Ethan walked forward towards Kylie and slowly captured her lips in a deep kiss. He then whispered a few words to Kylie, smiled, and walked out. From Ethan's appearance to his disappearance, Faith's face had been in shock and amazement.
"Kylie...Am I hallucinating..."
"No, you're not." Kylie pulled Faith to sit down again and handed a cup of tea to her.

Faith took a deep sip, not even caring if the hot tea burned her tongue. "That's…that's your husband? Oh gosh! Kylie! He's soooo handsome! Is he in show business? I've never seen him before." Faith gushed like a teenage girl.
"He's not in the show biz."
"Then, who is he?"
"Have you heard of Lord Ethan?"
Faith swallowed her saliva with difficulty, then handed the empty cup back to Kylie. "I need one more to calm down, please." Kylie managed to keep a straight face and stood up to pour another cup of tea.
"You mean, your husband is THE legendary Lord Ethan?" Thoroughly drinking the tea, Faith asked inconceivably, "No wonder after I posted out the article, it has been stuck on the top till now. And no one could take it down!"
"You're..." Faith was too surprised and shocked to find the proper adjectives. But finally, a slow smile formed on her face. "Kylie, you sly bitch! Does Aiden know you're married?"
"Yes he knows, Lord Ethan is his uncle."
"Ethan and I decided that we would take care of all this…shit…in half a year before we go public with our relationship as husband and wife." Kylie leaned back on the sofa, stretching and smiling as if she was relaying the most straightforward piece of information to Faith.
Faith was still in shock, and it felt like she was unable to recover from the amazement of this whole ordeal. Apparently, Kylie had all this planned out…but how, and when?
"Kylie…" Faith started off hesitantly; however, before she could continue, Kylie cut her off.
"Ethan gives me everything I ever want, and he doesn't demand anything from me in return. But I don't want just to be a showpiece on his arm. I don't want to be called only 'Mrs. Parker.' I want to try my best to shorten the distance between us. I want us to complement each other instead of relying entirely on him."
Kylie then turned to Faith and smiled faintly, "Faith, if you still want to help me, let's face the difficulties in the future together. If you're not willing to take risks, I'll also keep my promise. I'll give you double the amount of money Lily owed you."

New Game (Reborn as a Reluctant Demon Lord, Book 1)
Portal Fantasy. Isekai. A daydream of nerds everywhere, leaving behind their boring world and living in a fantasy one that is full of adventure. A daydream that became a reality for me and 1000 other Comic-Con attendees. Except for me, it was more of a nightmare. Wanting nothing more than to find a way home, and also saddled with being the world's new [Demon Lord], I found myself trapped in a gamelike world and also somehow a part of the [Hero's] party. So join me as I tell the tale of my struggles. A tale of levels and skills. A tale of cagey game admins and bugs. And a tale of our party's grand quest to defeat... Well... Me. ---- What to expect from this book? 1. A main character who is not overpowered (and instead has to go from near-useless to strong. Not just weak to strong). If you are looking for an OP [Demon Lord] who laughs at his weakling enemies... This isn't for you. 2. A meandering pace as the characters aren't told how a lot of the world works and have to figure it out themselves. (And because there are a lot of characters. Whose idea was it to have a party of 9? I blame Jake) 3. A tragedy. A lot of things are not going to go well for the protagonist. (Not that everything is tragedy all the time. There is humor, laughter, friendship, and even a mascot monster character who got way more popular than I expected. But this is not a story that will leave you uplifted and inspired after every time you read it). ---- Release Schedule and publishing information: Book 1 is complete! I will include a link to book 2 once it has been started. Feel free to give feedback, positive or negative. ---- Other notes Book 1? Yes, this says Book 1. There are probably going to be 3 books. No, the plot as you can guess is not going to be tortured to drag out all the way to book 3. That would be ridiculous. If you can guess the plot of books 2 or 3 at any point before the last chapter of book 1, please use your clairvoyant powers for something more productive. TitusGM? This story is intentionally told under the username TitusGM because the idea is that he was the one actually writing everything down what happened after it all is over. I initially planned to answer everything in character on this site, but that just really didn't work out. If you want an in character response to a comment, simply prefix it with IC: (I also try to leave that as a reminder in the author's note after each new chapter) Cover art? A Generic Dungeon Core Story
When one falls… what happens? Do they just disappear into an endless abyss? Do they got to a final resting place to lay forever? Do they get to look down proudly upon the world from the clouds or look up in regret as they are burned and tortured? One man… person found out the hard way as he fell into a dark abyss after having surely died only to found himself awake again with most of his memories and knowledge blocked of as he was reincarnated into a 10ft cube as a small glowing sky blue orb…. This is my first actual foray to the world of webnovels as I’ve never wrote any stories before… *cough cough * edgy horny filled teenage fanfics do not count whatsoever *cough cough*. I am very new to the world of novels and I am not a native English speaker so expect a lot of grammar mistakes. The story will update on weekends on Saturday or whenever I feel like uploading as I do not have much free time and this is only a novel I write to improve my writing skills. What can you expect from the story? - Dungeons? Of course, this is the main theme of the story. - Multiple leads? Yes, there will be multiple perspectives from many different characters with at least 4 main characters. - Gamelit? The world is ruled by a system… that does absolutely nothing other than a way to view your stats and progression. - Murder hole? No, the lead character has a challenging yet fair view on how dungeons should operate, don’t get me wrong as he will still kill people if they are evil, careless or overestimate their abilities but don’t expect too much death as I feel that most adventurers would be smart enough to know their abilities especially when they have to do it themselves instead on relying on skills or the system. - Cultivation? No, the ability to gain power from sitting still and breathing never made any sense to me and it will be completely broken if the MC gets their hands on it so… no. - Non-human MC? Yes, they are a dungeon after all and yes, dungeons do get avatars but it is a specialized procedure that many choose not to do. Also, if the dungeon gets an avatar, no he will not be some wish giving demigod or whatever. - Magic? Yes, but it is very limited and down to the ground... from my notes... which means nothing - Art? Yes, I’m a hobbyist-artists so expect some art sketches here and there… I am poor so I do not have line art pens or tablets or adobe photoshop… also no scanners so… pictures of pencil-sketches it is, no coloring though since I am terrible at coloring. - Comedy? Yes, if you can call my bad attempts at humor comedy. - Likeable characters? Hopefully… especially since I accidentally made like... 60 characters … how I made 6 originals into 60?… I have no idea whatsoever… - Adventurers/invaders/delvers/etc…? Yes! My favorite part about dungeon core novels are when delvers delve into the dungeon and reading how they react, I will definitely flesh out the delvers and show how they operate more than usual hopefully. Hopefully you like the story, I will not have a patreon or paypal or whatever mostly because I’m under 18, thanks for at least reading this far and I hope that my writing is at least passable and you enjoy the story… if not then at least I got some writing practice in English.
