Loving A STRANGER Chapter 27

Kylie was gently laid out on the sofa. She took off the coat and looked at the man, asking: "Am I really dirty?"
"Nothing you can't clean." Ethan's eyes darkened a little and pointed towards the bathroom.
Watching her shamed silhouette disappear from sight, he hung up the coat and turned to the bedroom.
Kylie was sitting at the bottom of the tub, letting the water from the shower pour over her head and down her cold body. It wasn't until the water temperature had dramatically increased, and the dense fog had gathered in the bathroom, that the coldness in her bones began to disappear.
Probably because her nervous feelings had been partially relieved, Kylie gradually began to feel sleepy.
Ethan had tidied the bedroom and checked the time. Kylie had been in the bathroom for a very long time. He walked to the door and gently knocked. "Kylie, don't take a shower for too long, or you'll get a cold. Kylie Finch?"
"Yes," a weak voice responded through the door, after several moments.
Kylie had actually fallen asleep. She dried herself off with a bath towel but felt puzzled when she felt her feet. The soles of her feet had abrasions that deeply hurt her. She put on a pair of men's slippers so that they wouldn't be so sore and limped out of the bathroom.
Ethan was sitting on the couch, reading a newspaper. He didn't turn his head when he heard the sound of the door, but he watched her back as she walked away from him.
She was only wearing a short bath towel. Her bare white shoulders and slim arms turned Ethan on. He stood up and followed her, carrying an ointment to help with her feet.
Kylie walked carefully, but the slippers were too large, and they had become slippery on the wet bathroom floor, so the slippers kept flying forward. Unable to walk fast, Kylie could only move with great difficulty. But because of the difficult slippers, she fell over.

Ethan, who had been following her, rushed ahead and swiftly reached out his arms to hold her in a steady hug. But Kylie continued to feel cold, and then realized something.
She slowly looked down at her body, while Ethan began to realize the same thing. His body froze within a second.
Kylie dully looked at Ethan, and the two continued to stare at each other for over thirty seconds.
Then Kylie screamed, as though a needle had pricked her entire body. Her hands tried to cover her body, and she unconsciously yelled, in a panic: "You...Close your eyes!"
Her face turned bright red. Damn it, and the bath towel had fallen at the worst possible time! What's worse, Ethan was unknowingly stepping on the bath towel, so she couldn't even retrieve it. She couldn't manage to cover her entire body, no matter how hard she pulled.
Ethan's gaze remained on her bare body, and he stiffened. His slim lips opened, and he spoke with hoarseness that he had never experienced before "...I won't look."
He said that, but his eyes continued their fixation on her body. Kylie was extremely shy and embarrassed. "Leave me alone...you, you...you can leave right now!" Kylie spoke angrily.
Ethan pretended that his eyes were completely closed, as he placed the naked woman down on the bed, turned around, and walked out of the bedroom. Kylie's black hair, all wet and loose, accentuated her white, smooth, and glaring skin—which resembled a husked egg with tons of collagen.
Kylie trembled at the sound of the shutting door, then opened her eyes. She wanted to find some clothing to wear, but the only thing she had was torn apart.
So, Kylie could merely clench her teeth, and go through Ethan's suitcase for something to wear. It was safer to wear ugly, loose-fitting clothes when alone in a room with a man.

Ethan's heart was still racing, even long after he'd been sitting on the couch. He didn't know when he'd first clenched his hands into fists, but they were so tight that veins popped out of his arms.
He tried to close his eyes and calm himself down, but the image of her naked body kept appearing in his mind. Kylie was slim, but not skinny. Her ample breasts were like ripe peaches, half-covered by her long, black hair.
If an accident like that happened again, Ethan wasn't sure that he'd be able to control himself from reaching down and kissing her boobs. Kylie was so gorgeous!

Almave
Welcome to AlmaVé. First thing you have to know is that it's a tragedy. Nope, not talking about my book yet. It's a tragedy that you're reading this instead of clicking on chapter 1. I did fail speech introductions after all. My story? Right that's what you're here for. My bad, try this: Lilia Hammond is reborn (cliché, but we all know we enjoy it when it's done for a purpose) as Syndra Sanmey. She was a graphic designer who hadn't caught her break yet. She was paralyzed for months before she was offered the opportunity to join a program that would allow her to-NOPE! not virtual reality. The doctors killed her and dumped her body. Tough. In her new world, Lilia has to fight herself to find out who she truly is. With the possibility to cast magic and a second chance at life, Lilia thinks she can really make something for herself. Her goal? Become the greatest artist the world had ever seen. The rub? World is a bit darker than anything she saw on earth. Thankfully, Lilia is getting quite familiar with the darkness inside her and her magic might just be the thing to save the-hey! wait it's not that kind of book. No saving the world. No hero syndrome. Just magic and blood and a bit of crafting. Yup. Fighting. Romance? Eh? What's that? The first arc is Lilia's shift from Earth to creating backstories for the three major characters. It's not funny and light. It's often dark and funny. Ah, I really should have gone through a punk-rock phase. Or goth. Would I look good with black hair? Hmm.. There are three MCs and they are Jackson, Daryl, and Lilia/Syndra. Daryl is currently kidnapped and Jackson just awakened his magic. I don't want to spoil (much) but soon things will be very fun to write. Hope to see you there! Leave a comment even if you're just stopping by so I can say hey! Chapters to be published twice weekly. At The Lions Gate
In the 20th century America reinvented itself. Devastated by depression, scarred by war, rocked by a revolution, Americans banded together to preserve their country and their freedom. They had faith in themselves, faith in one another, and for those who believed…faith in God. This novel tells the story of one American who lived through those turbulent years….years that would test his character and the character of a nation. For Josh Sanders it begins in 1935. A star athlete in school, pro football is a ticket out of poverty during the Great Depression; but when his father, a WWI veteran, is killed during a robbery, Josh’s spirit is broken, and with it his boyhood dream. To honor his father Josh joins the war effort in 1942, distinguishing himself as a fighter pilot, until a fateful decision near the end of the war changes the course of his life once again. But many years later, after a stint as a boxer and a failed marriage, Josh finds his calling…at a time when the country is at war with itself. The year is 1968. King and Kennedy have been killed, race riots are breaking out, and Vietnam has become an albatross, causing massive protests across the country. In the streets of San Francisco Josh watches a crowd of students march for peace. As a veteran he’s conflicted, toward the war and those who oppose it. But when he encounters Rosy Goldin, a spirited young protester in need of help, a voice from the past calls him to action. His good intentions are soon tested when Rosy falls in love with the fugitive anti-war activist Erick White, a young man determined to oppose the war at all costs, against the wishes of his own father. Fearful of what happens to Rosy, Josh confronts Erick, unwilling to be part of his plan to escape…until he meets the boy’s father. A high-powered criminal attorney, Karl White is also a flag-waving patriot demanding that his son follow the law. But as White makes his case Josh is jolted by a painful war-time memory, a crisis of conscience that will soon determine the fate of Rosy Goldin and Erick White.
