The Dream Saga Chapter 58

Everyone was looking at me with an odd look on their faces. I felt something was off, but what, I had no clue about that . There was an utter silence there despite having almost whole palace collected at a particular place . No one was saying anything to me. I did not know what was going on out there, I pushed the people who were standing there, they made a kind of space for me to the center so I can see it myself .The horrifying reason for the silence.
As I arrived at the center of the crowd, I saw a woman's body lying there all bloody, her head was hurt, it was bleeding severely.
Her body was lying on the stomach she had lost too much of blood, that I assumed she might have been dead already. It felt like she died because of a fall from balcony behind her, the same balcony I was standing at a few minutes ago.
I sat to get a closer look at her body. She was dressed beautifully, her white dress was stained in blood. I flipped her body to see her face. As I got a look at her face, my heart broke into a million pieces...
It was my love, the queen.
I never wanted to see her in such a horrific position. Thousands of questions rattled in my mind, the tears in my eyes were not stopping. At first, I couldn't accept the reality of mine.
"What happened to her? Why is she here?" I asked the surrounding people. I was numb, my mind was not working, everyone was silent. They looked at me with eyes full of pity.
"Hey, you will be all right don't worry love, I'm here. I'll hold you close to me no one is going to hurt you." I held her head in my lap and assured her I will protect her so she can open her eyes, and there's no need for being scared.

"Honey look, who have I brought with me our son look, he's looking at you" I tried to wake her up by showing her our son, whom she was so worried about. Our son, who was watching her without even blinking an eye, began to cry, but she still was not responding.
"Don't cry, mom is just playing with us she will wake up, ha-ha, don't worry!"
"Why? Why is she not answering, is she sleeping? Is she sick? Please, can anyone wake her up? My son wants his mother" My voice was cracking now, I was falling into pieces. I never wanted to accept her death. And that was the reason I lost my mind.
"Your grace, please get a hold of yourself. I know it's hard to accept, but she is gone." An old lady held me by my shoulder and told me she was dead.
"NO! what are you talking about? She's right here in my arms you can see it. She told me she will never leave me. You all have gone mad." I smiled full of pain and tried to convince them that she was not dead.
A few of other women held me by the shoulder "Your grace, accept it. You have to. She is dead. Leave her, let her go into heaven and let her soul rest in peace "
"No, she's not dead, look she'll reply" I patted her cheeks to wake her up, but she did not give me a response.
"Mirella ! Wake up and tell them they're wrong, please wake up." It was the first time when I called her by her name in years and yet she was not waking up and I had understood my terrible fate.
"NO!!! NOO!!" I screamed my voice box out. I yelled in denial, but now I knew she was gone.

It started pouring out of nowhere. The sky was pouring like it was crying in my pain, it started lightening. They pulled me from her body to keep me safe from the thunder. While two of the guards rushed and wrapped her body and pulled it away from my arms.
I was screaming soundlessly, even though she was dead I still wanted to be with her for some more time. Now my tears were converted into blood.
[When a devil is in so deep sorrow, his tears turns into blood. But it's rare]
They pulled me back to my room and used some magic on me to make me unconscious so I can get a hold of myself.
I was in so much pain that I felt the sorrow even when I was unconscious.
Now I was unconscious and was in a dream where I saw a familiar face. It was "The Witch of Endor."
She was in my dream, she stood there covered in her evil aura. She was laughing at my pain. I ran to her and yelled at her with my eyes filled with tears.
"Why did you take her away? Why did take nothing but her?" I yelled.
"HA-HA, Daniel, boy what did you think before making the deal did you really think I would take a doll or something ??"
"You did it on purpose. why ? why ? tell me!"
"I had to, you know, there's always a price to pay. You wanted a gift from death, so you have to pay it in the same form. A life for a life."
"You could have killed someone else, why her?"
"You did not think about the succubus who died for you, so why are you so concerned now. Forget about her, live a new life with your kid."
"Take him and give her back !!" I was saying things I did not understand the meaning of. I wanted her back so badly that I put the thing on the line I worked so hard for.
"No, I won't. someone who is dead stays dead. Doesn't matter what you do, forget her" she left after saying these words to me. And white light covered the whole place and the next thing I saw after the light was the ceiling of my room. I sat on my bed I was crying in deep sorrow when my son came in sight.
"You're happy, aren't you ? She died because of you. If I can't get her back because of you, there's no need of you as well. I DON'T NEED YOU!!"
"I WILL KILL YOU!"
