The Dream Saga Chapter 52

"Beelzebub, right?"
I recognized the guy who helped me and I was talking to was not some ordinary man and was one of the six devils, the sin of gluttony, "Beelzebub"
"Ha-ha! Finally, you recognized me? I came to meet!"
I recognized him from the embroidery I saw on his cloak. I knew about everything about all the other five devils. If I'll fight with them without even recognizing their symbol, then it would be embarrassing.
"Well, you were saying something. Why did you stop? Continue It was interesting." He smiled and tried to tease me, but I was saving my pride here, so I tried to keep a straight face.
"Do you think I will change my principles after knowing about you? No, I'm proud to call Rose my little sister." I made a proud face in front of Beelzebub, because I felt I was not only defending Rose, also other people who stood beside me without knowing I was a king or something. Who are not mean and are concerned about my wealth and powers, again, my happiness.
"Hey, hey calm down. Why are you being mad, I'm saying it's wrong or something or you should be ashamed of it? Well, to be honest, I respect that."
The reply I received from him was not as I expected. I thought him as a spoiled prince who doesn't care for other's feelings, as we see in the movies, and his moral behavior made me suspicious of him, because who knows what ulterior motive one is hiding behind a charming face.
"Woah, But I want to…."
"Kai, you know? I admire you so much."
He interrupted me as I was about to speak , and what he said shocked me so much that I began coughing.

"What the hell are you talking about? Are you alright?" I couldn't believe that someone so highly would admire me, because fuck, even I didn't admire myself. Like who would admire a guy like me, who has achieved nothing yet.
"Hey wait a second, you're not gay right?" I couldn't let it sink in. I even asked stupid questions such as his sexuality.
"NO! Hell, no buddy, I'm straight as a pole! But would you have a problem if I was one?"
"Ha-ha, no man. It doesn't, I kind of don't care about these things."
In between our talks, Rose came back into the room with a tea and refreshments. I looked at her and called her to ask a question.
"Hey Rose, answer me truthfully, alright. Do you admire me?"
She thought about it for a minute and came with a quick answer "NO!"
"Hey! What the hell! You could've lied. Why must you hurt me in this way?"
"Um-um! You-your grace, you told me to tell truthfully," she stuttered with an innocent face.
"Well, it's not like you're not admirable, it's just you're childish and also makes my work double, that's why. I often get scolded by the head maid because of you, you never finish your work on time, you keep tangling things in the worst way possible, you send me back to back to the kitchen to get snacks for you and you even call me on my break to play games with you, so are these reasons enough to not admire you!" She spilled way too much of truth, which was harsh I guess in my company she forgot that I was the king.
"Hey, calm down. Rose, I asked you just why you don't admire me why are you roasting me!"

"Ugh, Your grace, I guess I am your sister now so I have the right to do so" She was confident yet she was scared and nervous.
"Hey, be grateful that you're serving me the best of all." I was embarrassed in front of Beelzebub but by looking at him; he looked unbothered.
Looking at me and Rose quarreling in such a cute way made Beelzebub burst out in laughter. He was having so much fun watching us. By the look at him, I knew he was different from other princes.
"Hey, Beelzebub? I have a couple of questions?" I asked him in a curious tone.
"Yeah, shoot!"
"What's your name? It's a bit awkward to call you just Beelzebub." I asked the question I should have asked moments ago, but maybe it was because we did not get a chance for that.
"Oh, damn. We're talking for a while, and I haven't even introduced myself." Well, I am "Tom Beelzebub, I'm 19,"
"I guess I am a year older than you. Now the next question?"
"Yeah, I'm 18 that makes you older than me, so the next question is why do you admire me?"
"Hmm, It's simple."
"Looking at you motivates me, so much. I first saw you in your battle with Basilisk. That day you were so fearless it looked like you were just born to dominate, and the best part of the fight was you almost died twice during the match, but your will to live was far greater than me."
"And there's another thing that made me admire you so much, was that you're not even a pure devil you're an artificial devil your powers compared to us all are not that strong yet you came this far."
"Wow, I did not know I could inspire people so much. You boosted my confidence, but wait, aren't you trying to lure me in some kind of trap?"
"Nah, man I am not that cheap I have my principles."
"I thought I'd be discriminated for not being a pure devil, but you changed my whole mindset!"
"Well, I want to be friends with you. Because I guess it will be easy-to-understand someone who is also not a pure devil like me, and at least I will have someone to call a friend."
"Hmm... Wait, what did you just say?"
"Not pure devil?"
"You're not a pure devil ?!"
WHAT THE FUCK!!!
"Yes, you heard it right, I'm a half devil."

I hope you will enjoy it and help me make it better! I try to keep my chapter lenghts between 1,500-2,500 words The story will follow Silika, the young daughter of an aristocratic count who becomes handicapped and must adapt to a world not designed for people in her situation. She will have to struggle through her disability, religion, family, abuse, trauma and politics. The world will not be kind to her, but she will find her place. The tone is a bit darker at times in this story, but not in 'edgy' or 'grimdark' way. They reflect the main character's struggles.
