The Dream Saga Chapter 49

Everything felt fine until now. All of my injuries were healed. Despite that, I was told to rest to avoid any kind of fatigue. I was lying on the bed of my room, tucked inside a blanket. Sipping a cup of hot chocolate made by Rose. I wondered how fast time passes, a few days ago Rose was traumatized enough to step out of the room, and now she was all good.
So goes for me. I didn't even thought in my dreams that I will end up in a situation where I would fight for my life like this.
I wondered how hard they wanted me to win, that they ended up activating ancient magic for fulfilling the purpose. I hope Rahu get well soon, and so Victor. I wish I win the tournament for them. To give respect to their hard work.
"Wait, did they just train this much so you could say things like this? Kai Ried, are you a stupid sandwich? No, no, no, you have to win at all costs you have to show Rahu, Victor, and Lee that whatever they went through to train me didn't go in vain." I patted my cheeks to motivate myself.
"Yah! Fuck yeah! I can do it," I screamed aloud in my room as a King Kong and smashed imaginary cars on my bed, but I was so blind in the imaginary cosplay that I forgot I had a cup of hot chocolate on my bed.
"Ouch! Ouch! Who the fuck put hot chocolate on my bed?" I spilled hot chocolate on my legs. It was so hot that it felt like someone poured burning lava on me.
Rose ran inside the room with a frightened face. Maybe she was just about to enter the room when I screamed.

"Master Kai, are you okay, did you fall in the fireplace?" She screamed as she looked at my face that was shouting out loud "help me."
"Rose! Help me." I cried out after just getting a look at her face.
"What happened, why are you speaking like that?" she exclaimed
"This damn chocolate burned me, now it's hurting like hell."
As she found out the reason for my screams, she made a face that expressed as she was saying I need to grow up and I overreact too much.
"Please get up from the bed. I need to change it. Please be quick." She spoke with a resting bitch face.
"Hey! What's with that face, do you think I am a brat! Huh, and you should ask me first if I was okay or not."
"Are you okay my majesty?" she fake smiled and fulfilled her formality.
I got up from my bed I was in my boxers and a hoodie. That looked like I picked them up from a dustbin. I made a face at her and walked toward the bathroom to wash the chocolate off myself.
"You were sitting all this time wearing those? Thank demon, nobody saw you in those." She looked at me with her eyes enlarged and giggled with her hand on her mouth.
"Hmph, I am going to take a bath, and don't talk to me. But you can't go anywhere okay; um, it's your punishment." I moved without looking back, as I felt a bit embarrassed.
I banged the bathroom door shut; I threw my bottom and top here and there in the bathroom and stepped into the bathtub slowly.
"Ah, finally some fucking peace," I moaned as I got relaxed. I called out Rose to check if she was still there or not.

"Hey Rose, are you still there?"
"Yes, your grace. Do you need something?"
"I want to ask something, who visited me while I was sleeping."
"Well, many people did. At first, it was Master Sabir and Miss Skyler. They were the most worried about you. They asked me about everything that happened. Ms. Skyler was so angry. She even kicked on your butt."
"What she did! Huh, she kicked me?" It surprised me that this much happened when I was sleeping. I touched to check where she hit me.
"Ouch!" I screamed
"My majesty, are you alright?"
"That bitch I'll kill her, it hurts so much damn it!"
"Haha, I feel you were a problem child to your mother, my majesty," she giggled
"Haha, I know, but I never got the chance to be a trouble child. My mother passed away before I could even say her name."
"I'm sorry, my majesty I did not want to hurt you."
"No, it's okay Rose. Tell me something about your mom and dad,"
"Well, I had the same faith as you. My mother died when I was born. I once belonged to a noble family. But after my dad, who raised me after mom's death, passed away in an accident and I am left alone in this world, with an abusing step-brother and a step-mother who starved me for days just to see me suffer."
"I ran away from this place and got myself into this city and I worked in a church and then I heard maids were being hired in the palace, so I got in here. To say In short I don't have any family."
"Rose, I feel bad for you. Life is unfair, I know. But you said something wrong."
"Wrong? What?"
"You have a family now, you have a brother. Who will protect you from everything, forever. You have me as your older brother."
"Rose? Rose? You listening to me?" I blinked to figure out whether she heard what I said or not.
"Ye-yes, my lord I'm listening." Her voice was low I felt as she was crying. I wore my bathrobe and opened the door and she was there in front of me, crying in a chair.
I ran and hugged her tight "Rose no, don't cry big brother is here to protect you."
"Thank you so much" Her teardrops touched the ground, and she hugged me back tightly.

Arcane Societies
Secret Societies, highly influential groups of people who control the world from behind the scenes. Often, they are merely thought to be part of the wild fantasies of the most imaginative or insane people of society. Sett, a seemingly normal orphan child, shared the same thoughts. Yet, his world would be torn asunder when he found out that not only was the world controlled by these veiled organisations, but they also had access to much more than just money and influence. They were martial artists that could split the earth, magicians that could rain fire from the skies, monsters that could eat you whole, and much, much more. This is the story of Sett, an orphan who tries to live his life among the secret societies. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Sanctuary
A girl searching for someone. A boy who lost his memories. A man from another world. A woman trying to prove her worth. Follow along as this unlikely group of people join forces to help each other accomplish their own goals in this non-epic fantasy adventure. Fair Warning: This fiction contains many of the well-known light novel tropes, though I try to give them my own spin. If you’re tired of them by now, you might want to keep away. There are no demon lords however, nor any end-of-the-world cataclysm situation that only the MC can solve. This story is more about different people coming together and helping each other out to achieve their own goals and objectives.
