The Dream Saga Chapter 44

"Lee, you cannot save everyone. You need to pick one, either me or Rahu!" Victor's eyes were flowing with tears.
"Victor! Do you even have the faintest idea how hard it is for me to choose between one?" Lee's eyes were wide open he was so emotional at the moment.
"What the fuck are you two talking about?"
"Huh!" all three of us were shocked because it was Rahu who just spoke something. His voice was low and his eyes were just slightly opened, he was talking subconsciously.
"Rahu! are you okay?" as Victor saw him talking, he forgot about everything. He held his hand and cried.
"Let's go inside, my body is burning!" He again spoke something. The condition he was in was so critical and he was talking like he was sleep talking. Indeed, he was a strong person.
Victor glared at Lee with eyes saying only one thing "save him," "Lee, save him please just save him, forget about me."
"Fine, I have decided. I don't know how I am going to forgive myself for this, but I know every simple decision requires the strongest will."
"Lee! WAIT!" At that very moment, something clicked in my mind. I was glad that I was not late.
"I have an idea!"
"Idea? what kind of idea? What can we do in this situation, we are helpless." He looked at me with a look that was filled with hope.
"Do you remember during my battle with Basilisk, I used my devil ability?"
"Yeah, so what about it? How can we use it in this situation?" Victor asked desperately asked me.
"It is cloning. What if we use it to get everyone inside the infirmary at once? I mean, I can create two of my clones to carry Victor and Rahu."

"That's an outstanding idea. But, It'll deplete too much of your mana, and using clones can affect your actual body too. It can lead to three infected people instead of two and if the situation comes to this, I would have no other option than saving you." Lee was thinking about the future outcomes, under so much stress. I did not know how he kept a calm head in such frustrating situations.
"Lee, at least we'd be near some people. We will have a chance to ask for help. It's still better than leaving one behind."
"Kai, we must hurry his pulse is getting weaker, he's losing consciousness the more we waste the time, the fewer chances we will have of saving him." Victor was calm now. He had prepared himself for the worst outcome.
"CLONING!" I screamed my soul out while concentrating my remaining mana on creating clones of myself.
As I chanted the spell, two of my clones came out of my body. They looked exactly just like me, just a bit translucent, maybe because of my low energy.
I was able to control them through my mind, felt like I hypnotized myself. One of my clones grabbed Rahu and the other one got Victor on his back.
We were again running with hope in our hearts, while on my way, I felt everything happened just because of me. Rahu was about to die. Victor would have sacrificed his life, and all because of me. I was wondering about it when Lee called me...
"Kai, are you okay, you're not feeling numbness or dizziness?" He was worried about me because I had everything on my shoulders and I had put my own life at stake and he didn't want to see me die again. We were still far from the populated area of the palace. So, I lied to him.

"Yeah, I'm okay. Just keep running we can save Rahu, don't worry about me." I assured him so he doesn't feel pressured.
"Ahh, my legs are getting worn out..."
"Lee! Rahu! He passed out. He fainted. We must hurry! I don't want him to die." Victor cried.
"We will save him, Victor. He is a strong bastard he won't die without a fight. I know him. Huh!"
"Victor, we made it I can see people there."
After finding some people, their speed and energy increased tenfold and in just a minute or two, they arrived at the building.
Victor yelled at a maid who stood there. "GET A FUCKING HEALER AND CALL THE GUARDS, WE HAVE A SITUATION HERE."
In no time, a healer arrived at the location. He put Rahu and Victor on a stretcher and took them inside the infirmity,
"Kai! We made it, you did it. Hey Kai, aren't you glad?"
"Hey, reply to me. Kai? Kai?"
The look of happiness on Lee's face suddenly turned into a frown of worry. Got Kai off his back and rested him on the ground. His body was blue, his breath was low. Something happened to him and Lee did not know what.
"Kai! Kai! Kai! Brother, wake up…"
"SOMEONE GET A FUCKING HEALER HERE, YOUR KING IS DYING."

An Unwavering Craftsman
Given the hereditary nature of classes, everyone expects Damien—the child of two high-tiered adventurers—to be granted a high-tier combat class of his own. Expectations are betrayed, however, when Damien finds himself instead saddled with a crafting class of the lowest possible tier: [Neophyte Tailor]. Left practically crippled compared to those with better classes, Damien wants to avoid becoming a pawn in the machinations of the nobility, desiring only to grind his level in peace while wondering why the usual rules of inheritance were broken. Was it his desire to excel by his own effort, rather than an unearned blessing from a god? Did the Five take offence at his opinions on the unfairness of hereditary classes? Or maybe it was something to do with the alien voice that intruded on his ceremony? A voice that offers great power, and freedom from the tyranny of the Five, but that never names its price. This story is litRPG-lite. While the class someone possesses controls most of their lives, people don't get dinged at for every level they gain, nor can they see their status without undergoing a special ritual. The MC has no romantic interest. Crafting is merely a way to game the system, and doesn't feature heavily in the story, aside from a few descriptions on how they're carrying out the system abuse. There is, on one unfortunate occasion, maths. The pace is quick. This was a participant in the Spring 2022 writathon. (i.e. it was posted as-written at high speed. I may give it another editing pass in the future.)

The day they became Mortal
Paladins and Vampires have always been sworn enemies. While the Paladins were blessed with the power of Apollo, made to heal and to wield the power of light itself, the vampires were immortal beings with heightened senses, strength and speed. For centuries the two lived in general peace, while the paladins built their kingdom Appollis, the vampires resided in the sanguine lands of Sareth. All changed however when an unknown paladin poisoned the special water supply of the vampires with Blackrye, a plant that to the vampire's horror removed their right to eternal life. No longer protected from illness or the relentlessness of time the vampires were forced to indulge in more blood. Soon enough a war broke out between the two kingdoms, a war that would cost the life of King Barron of Appollis and the sanity of Queen Diana of Sareth. Their heirs were too young to ascend the throne, forcing the two kingdoms to hastily form a truce until both princes were old enough to rule their lands. Five years after the blood war Arrin of Appollis and Ophyr of Sareth rule their respective kingdoms, despite having been kings for a few years and heavily disliking each other due to their past, they decided to keep the truce in place. What happens however when Arrin decides to kidnap the vampire king after he unfortunately stumbled upon Appollonian terrain?

Reincarnation of a Businessman
A businessman is betrayed by those he holds dearest and reincarnates into a mystical world of cultivation where the power of a single person can split the heavens. However, his reincarnation does not go smoothly... ******************** This is a xianxia (cultivation/progression fantasy) story which fuses a lot of western fantasy elements. This story includes POV's of different characters which are all going to be developed in the future and will have an effect on the story. The novel is named after the reincarnation of the businessman which serves as a cataclysm in the world of cultivation, and while the MC uses some of his business knowledge, this novel is not centered around the MC creating a business empire. I plan to extend the story into at least 2 books, both taking place in the same world. ******************** Updates will happen once every 2 days, but this is often going to change to once every day or once every 3 days because I am not currently writing full-time, and neither is my editor.

The worst part, she's been assigned to protect these idiots from harms way. Great, just what she wanted. A novel based on the events of my groups Dungeons and Dragons campaign.
