The Dream Saga Chapter 40

The day of the tournament was nearing slowly, the time was flowing so fast as sand escapes the grasps of a fist. Only a few more days remained from the tournament. I worked hard during the period of two weeks to get stronger because I wanted to win the tournament this time to show everyone that I was not just lucky but I actually deserved it.
Well, there was another reason too, for which I wanted to win the tournament. And to fulfill that, I was looking forward to the "Battle of the trident."
My break was over and it was time for more training!
"Hey Kai, I know It's hard to train the entire day, but it's necessary. And you understand it better than me." Rahu yelled from the training ground because I was taking more time than my original break time.
"Yeah, yeah, I know that, resting just a minute more won't hurt. You act way too much, man. Alright, I'm coming just a second more." I stood up from my seat and sipped water from my bottle and ran straight towards Rahu.
"Ahh, I'm ready! Let's start with the training again." The thought of winning recharged me, adrenaline was rushing through my veins and anyone could see that.
"Yeah, that's what a real man is like, let's start with the training again, so now it's time to learn tricky skills. Are you ready for it?" Rahu was glad to see me all charged.
"By the way, where are Lee and Victor? They were here before the break, right?" I was just about to start with my training when I noticed that Lee and Victor were missing.
"Hmm, you've become sharp with time. You noticed they were missing that's a nice start to your next skill development." Rahu was playing around and was using tricky words that felt way too much confusing to me.

"Hey, Rahu please don't play riddles with me, I suck at riddles tell me straight what you want to say okay."
"You literally never work your brain, man. Fine, I'll tell you. Your next task, so Lee and Victor are somewhere in this training ground and you have to find them." Rahu was so happy when he told me about the task because he loved to see me using my last few brain cells.
"Ah, what the heck, they're here on the training ground, but I can't see them, and I need to find them. Wait, if I can't see them, how am I supposed to find them?" I was really pissed at the new task I was assigned to.
"Haha, well that's not my headache, it's yours. Figure it out yourself. Just training your body won't work. You need to train your mind too. On a battlefield, your body fights to just keep you moving, but your mind fights for your survival! Got it? Now go!"
"You sometimes speak facts, you can trust me I'll bring my mind and body in great coordination, and will make it a super machine."
"So where could they be hiding, they're males so they have bigger bodies so I guess they can't hide in a small place. But I guess that's not going to work. I need to think about something else, huh!" something clicked in my mind when I saw Rahu during my task.
"Rahu! I knew it. Something was off with the situation. Last time I was training with Lee but when I came back from my break, it was Rahu who was there."
"Why did Rahu stay instead of Lee, there must be something that he was unable to do, what it could be! Hmm, Lee and Victor are the ones who are hiding in this ground, which means they were able to do something which Rahu was unable to do." Seems like my super smart brain linked one chain of hints with another to find a clue.

"What do Lee and Victor have in common that Rahu does not have?"
"Wait, what the hell, why didn't I have thought about this earlier! What Victor and Lee have in common is they are both "serpents" and Rahu is a "devil."
"Now, I know how I'm going to do this."
I closed both of my eyes and started to sniff the area. I was getting mixed scent, but I smelled Lee's and Victor's scents mixed into it. They were not so far, but they were far enough that I couldn't pinpoint their exact location.
"What does a serpent does to hide? Wait! I know you both are done now." A memory of my childhood when I watched animal documentaries the whole day flashed in my mind when I thought about snakes.
"Camouflage! They camouflage to hide in the environment to hunt their prey. It means both of them are camouflaged in this environment."
I closed my eyes and activated one of my ability "thermal vision" which I first discovered when the fairy attacked me. The moment I opened my eyes everything was so bright, but it helped me in catching heat signatures.
I was seeing different kinds of things such as bugs, metals, and rocks which were giving heat signatures and in between, I saw two manly bodies hiding in the woods. It was Lee and Victor, my task was completed.
"Hey! I can see you two hiding behind the woods Lee come out from the bamboo trees and Victor come out of the well."
"Took you not so long enough to find them. I'm proud of you, Kai. You showed me you're not only good in physical but also in mental stuff."
"So, the skill these two performed was "Camouflage" that only serpents can use as a race. And that puts you in great advantage."
"So get ready to learn it!"
"Yes, Sir" Kai smiled as he was successful in the task he was assigned with and got ready again to learn another new skill.
