Primordial Dimensions Chapter 230

When the plan was set in stone, Shane could finally breathe a sigh in relief.
Glancing at the time shown on the system, he couldn't help but think that he might be able to nap for a few hours.
With a faint smile, he closed his eyes, continuing to lean on Umbra's body.
Enjoying the calm, he was about to fall into a deep slumber, when a sudden notification popped up only half an hour later and washed away his drowsiness again.
Shane was almost on the verge of tears because the only thing he wanted to do was take a short nap. He had wanted to relax for an hour or two at most, nothing more.
As such, he couldn't even be overly happy as he might have been before when he saw a message from Talia.
[Hey Shane, my friends are already awake and I've explained everything you told me. They're still skeptical but after I told them that I had been to the Hidden Paradise within you, it was easier to explain the rest. I also told them about the tests we did with the Nightshade flower roots and so on, which excited everybody.
As such, to answer the question you've been probably waiting for a long time, we accept the offer to join your faction, artisan hall, or whatever you want to create. 500 gold coins are more than what we could have ever expected, considering that we are currently useless, but we would like to thank you for that….
However, I should apologize for the list of demands I'll message you in a minute...Let me warn you beforehand, my friends are blunt, don't know how to hold back and they're unique, which you will notice once you read through the demands.]
On one side, Shane was happy that Talia and her friends accepted his offer but on the other side, her message had ruined his nap.
Furthermore, the list of demands Taliia was talking about didn't sound nice and it caused him to have a premonition.
As such, the moment he received Talia's next message was the time his face twitched as his eyebrows furrowed.
He was confused, glad, and also angry at the requests or rather demands made by Talia and her friends.
[1) We'll have to live inside the Hidden Paradise if you want to work with us professionally. Tending to the Nightshade flower field once in a while won't do any good!

--1.1) Because we'll live inside the Hidden Paradise, we want it to be increased to a size of at least 10,000 diameters!
--1.2) Living inside the Hidden Paradise alone won't do any good and as you already said you can't promise our safety. As such, we researched a little about certain mana devices and found something called [Space Door]. This space door connects different locations with each other and is empowered by mana. It's expensive but with enough time, you should be able to purchase it!
2) If you want to create your farm as soon as possible, Umbra, or whatever your companion is called, has to help us and you will have to purchase everything we need as soon as possible!
3) We will sign a system contract about everything stated earlier and will stay loyal to you, never betray you until the moment you or we die!]
Shane wanted to send a message in the heat of the moment, but he refrained from doing so.
Thinking about it level-headedly was better and his passive skill [Hunter's Mind] helped Shane to calm down.
"It's surprising that they want to live within the Hidden paradise...but somehow also understandable. At least, if they want to work professionally as they said. In that sense, the other requirements are logical too… However, they're just thinking about themselves without taking external factors into consideration."
As such, he tried to think of a solution to the problem the demands 1.1) and 1.2) had.
It didn't take long for him to picture the easiest solution as he answered Talia.
[I accept demand 2) and 3), but I can't accept the stated conditions in 1.1) and 1.2). First of all, I don't have enough mana to enlarge the Hidden-Paradise to a size of 10,000 meters in diameter at once.
This has to be done slowly and there is nothing I can change because the demand for mana to enlarge a world is not low.
Furthermore, the amount of mana I would have to supply will increase by a few times too.
As such I'm not even sure if I could supply enough mana for such a large world while supplying the Nightshade flowers at the same time!
Using too many mana stones to support this process would be costly and prevent us from earning enough to awaken Hidden Paradise's mana heart as early as possible.

Awakening the mana heart should be our highest priority because we wouldn't be restricted in the number of Nightshade flower fields we could plant while I would be able to enlarge the planet to a certain extent.
As for request 1.2) I don't know how expensive a Space Door would be, but from the fact that mankind doesn't use them actively or even purchases, I can guess that they're expensive.
Maybe this is because we use the Dimension Portal for everything and the fact that there is no need for us to have space door's but I'll take a look at it, alright? However, from a logical perspective, the mana consumption to activate a space door, that would most likely be similar to a transportation magic circle, should be high.
I would change 1.1) a little. I'll enlarge the Hidden Paradise to 1,000 meters in diameter once I have enough mana, while we can actively look at how much mana the Nightshade flowers demand.
As for 1.2) I'll purchase a space door or similar magic device after we awoke Hidden Paradise's mana heart! This shouldn't take several centuries because of the self-earned and cultivation stage discounts you already saw too.]
After he sent this message, he added another text telling Talia what he found out about the Nightshade flower roots which immediately piqued her curiosity.
However, before Talia replied, she talked to her friends about Shane's changes, which the other young students accepted.
They understood that their request was not well thought of as Elyon, who had the [Platinum] quality Florist occupation, saw Talia's latter message.
In the beginning, he was not really interested in Shane and his arrogant behavior because Elyon was a bit jealous that he could duplicate Nightshade flowers so easily.
Elyon had read about all kinds of magical flowers since he had obtained his occupation. It provided him with a skill that allowed him to read through an encyclopedia containing information about all kinds of flowers, their benefits, and needs. After reading through Shane's message, he couldn't help but exclaim.
"Let's meet up with him!! If he has unscathed, high-quality Nightshade flowers, I would even live in his world without the Space door!! Tell him that if he really does have unscathed Nightshade flowers at the….Uncommon quality that we will immediately accept!! This is our opportunity!"
Only Elyon had a vast knowledge about flowers in their small group. As such, they would have to plant the Nightshade flowers and provide them with the best possible nutrition and everything else they required.
By using other farming skills, the Nightshade flowers would blossom and grow faster, while the mana-consumption would be decreased.
Because they had two farmer occupations at the [Platinum] quality, there was even a chance to increase the quality of damaged Nightshade flower roots.
Eylon was not sure if that was possible for unscathed Nightshade flower roots, but that was not important.
The important fact was that they could duplicate the Nightshade flower roots as long as they possessed a single unscathed one! If they took care of it, they would be able to create millions of damaged roots from one unscathed root!
Under normal circumstances, the roots would be damaged over time, but if two [Platinum] farmers, a [Platinum] florist, and the [Gold] plant researcher worked together, this was something they could prevent!
Everyone could sense Elyon's excitement which was a rare sight. This told them what kind of opportunity they could grasp.
As such, Talia asked Shane to meet up.
Shane agreed to that, however, instead of meeting inside the Shirai academy, where Umbra had to stay within the Hidden Paradise, which the other young students would probably want to enter too, he told Talia to meet him at the Giant Fluare-plains.
If they didn't want to expose the world within him too early, they had to be a little more careful and not act recklessly like Shane and Talia had, the day before.
As such, Talia and her friends, who were still in the infirmary because their injuries were not completely healed, rushed towards Shane, neither minding the slight pain they had to endure nor the fact that they were eyed weirdly by other students.
They laughed and ridiculed them, which was even more painful than the physical pain they had to endure and the only thing that held them back from doing anything stupid was Shane's offer.
Unbeknownst to himself, Shane had turned into a pillar those eight students wanted to rely on, which was something he would have never expected.
