Primordial Dimensions Chapter 223

Staring into the football-sized pupils of a 50-meter-long snake was not something Talia did every day so it was predictable that she would be horrified. Shane could hear her screaming her lungs out for several seconds until she was hoarse and took a deep breath to try and calm herself.
"Umbra won't do anything to you. He is my tamed beast…" Shane said, trying to reassure Talia who could hear Shane's voice echoing through the whole tiny world she entered.
Staring at the gigantic snake warily, Talia was barely able to look around in order to figure out where she was as she mumbled,
"He said the truth…"
Overcoming her fear and hesitation, Talia forced herself to walk around the tiny world as she said out loud, "You can hear me, right? I don't want to sound too harsh, but the soil your world creates is not nutritious enough to create a farm…"
Shane entered the Hidden Paradise with his mind which allowed him to see everything that happened within.
Talia needed only a few minutes before she lost her interest and fear of Umbra. While she had been inclined to think initially that Shane was losing it, after entering the world, her mind seemed to be in a frenzy as she tried to think of all the possible ways in which the world would flourish. Not a moment later, she heard Shane's voice again.
"You are fast at adapting, that's good and it makes many things easier. I know that the soil is unsuitable to create a farm, but that can be solved by purchasing highly nutritious soil from merchants. I don't need to transform the whole world into a Nightshade flower field and there are other things I'll have to figure out before I can create larger Nightshade flower fields!"
Shane could only see Talia nodding her head as she looked around which told him that she had already digested the information he supplied.
"You said that you can enlarge the world to..what was it? 40,000 kilometers in diameter? Do you know what happens if something you planted or placed on a specific place after you enlarge your world? Will houses be torn apart and the Nightshade flower field you want to create be distorted? That's important to know because it would be bad if a large Nightshade flower field would be created and you suddenly decide to increase your world's size!
Furthermore, I wonder if you can even supply a large Nightshade flower field? For that you need lots of mana and even if your world's mana absorption is as large as you describe, you are currently on Igra and I doubt that you didn't think about all kinds of possibilities where you might not have enough mana to supply a mana plant or flower farm!"

Shane couldn't help but be baffled by her words. Not only had she bluntly stated the facts he had wanted to test, but the latter point she picked out was what he had to take care of too!
"I know about the issue concerning enlarging my world, which is why I want to ask you to plant three Nightshade flower roots close to each other. After that, you and Umbra would have to leave the Hidden Paradise for safety measures before I can enlarge the world by a few meters.
Once that is done we will be able to tell whether the two Nightflower roots will be drawn away from each other or if objects or buildings that do not hail from my world will remain at the exact same position."
The former would be logical while the latter was unlikely, but according to the information sheet Aunt Kia had sent him a short while ago, after doing extensive research on how to handle a soul bound world, he felt that it might be neither of the given solutions.
This information sheet he received said that 'Everything inanimate and animate that is not native to a soul bound world won't be affected by enlarging the world in size! Objects placed at a certain position won't move and living beings won't notice the ground below them moving either.'
When Shane had heard this the first time, he felt that it was weird, and the only somewhat logical explanation he could give to that was that everything touched by something that is not native to the soul bound world will remain the same.
One could say that the ground in touch with something non-native will be separated from the enlarging world before merging it with the enlarged world again.
With that in mind, two flowers that were in touch with each other by non-native imported soil shouldn't separate while a third flower that was one meter away from the other flowers might be further away from the two flowers after the world had been enlarged.
Talia only nodded her head, forgetting that the things they were talking about had been impossible according to her own belief, just a few minutes ago.
Standing up from the bench he had been sitting on, Shane dug out a handful of soil from the small field of grass behind him. He then sent two more [Trash] Nightshade flower roots and the soil from Igra towards Talia, who was frightened for a second as the said materials manifested in front of her.
Doing as Shane instructed, she planted two roots next to each other before layering the ground with the soil Shane had dug out, while the third root was simply planted in the nutritionless soil of his Hidden Paradise.
Meanwhile, Shane rushed towards Shirai academy's least crowded area before he told Talia and Umbra to leave his world.

Fortunately, there was a small pond nearby and Shane asked Umbra to hide inside for the time being which he did reluctantly.
When Talia left the Hidden Paradise, the first thing she mumbled was.
"How can the gravitational force be exactly the same??"
This caused Shane to laugh out while he allowed the world within him to use a small amount of mana to enlarge in size.
He also noticed that the amount of mana drawn out before he ordered the enlargement was slightly larger compared to before.
There was no other possibility than the fact that it had to stem from the Nightshade flower roots' need to grow which was an extremely interesting fact!
Recalling the second question Talia asked him, Shane turned towards her.
Seeing that she was deep in thought, he pondered whether he should answer her question now or later.
However, knowing himself, Shane was aware of the fact that he could forget telling her everything later which led him to interrupt her train of thoughts.
"Going back to your question of whether I can supply enough mana...the answer is relatively easy!..."
He halted for a moment as he thought about something which caused him to access the system for a moment.
Sharing the information sheet about the price of his world's mana heart awakening he continued
"This should be enough to answer your question to a certain degree. However, by the time I earn the required funds to awaken my world's mana heart, I'll probably enter the Expert stage, increasing the price to around 50 million gold coins...maybe more, but to be honest I don't really know.
But that is not problematic, because you and your friends would farm in my world and if all of you were to accept the offer I'll propose, there shouldn't be a problem with the 'self-earned' requirement, right?
Until I earn enough funds, I will have to supply the world within me through its mana absorption.
Furthermore, according to the information I received, it should be possible to use mana stones to supply one's soul bound world too! As such, I might as well use mana stones to supply the world within me provided I have enough gold coins!"
Talia was not even astonished by Shane's confidence anymore, he was just mysterious and weird to her.
However, his ambition was something she found to be oddly interesting. If it wouldn't decline and everything would work according to Shane's plan, he would become one of the richest humans within the next few years.
Furthermore, if they were to be able to help him, the benefits they would receive would be gigantic.
Adding the factor that Shane was likely to have a staunch supporter which was probably the reason why he was able to obtain the world within him, in the first place, Talia realised that Shane was their ultimate lottery ticket!
The price to awaken his world's mana heart was also not too much in comparison to what he might earn from the Nightshade flower field.
As such, after Shane told her with a radiant smile, that the two connected Nightshade flower roots were not separated while it was the case with the third Nightshade flower root, Talia couldn't help but ask
"You talked about your offer quite often during the last few minutes...What exactly do you plan to offer us? From the way you talk about your world, you want us to live inside it, right? You have to take care of a farm consistently and if your Nightshade flowers are not a unique breed, they need to be watered, and so on! Wouldn't that be similar to imprisoning us?"
Shane's eyes widened and he completely forgot that he would have to water the Nightshade flowers which would mean that someone had to do that.
However, only a moment later, he found the obvious solution which caused him to slap his forehead.
He never planned to let the others live inside his world, at least not for now where it was boring without many things to do as he said
"I don't plan to let you live inside the Hidden Paradise if you don't want to and don't plan to force anyone to do anything. I can purchase several sprinklers connected to a gigantic water tank. Empowering everything with mana, I can set a certain time the sprinkler should water the Nightshade flowers.
To be honest, it would be a good decision to build an Artisan hall or maybe even a Faction with both Artisan and combat-oriented occupations within! Unfortunately, I have yet to start and thus, I don't know what I should offer you and your friends to make all of you join me...It might be arduous but we would be the pioneers in the Artisan field and I think it will be extremely beneficial if we would work together to show how important a good balance between combat and artisan-oriented occupations is!
My offer would be….that I will support all of you with all my capabilities as long as you're loyal, hard-working, and undiscriminating to others. This includes other races too!
'Why didn't I think of sprinklers...how embarrassing" Talia just said when she realized what Shane's offer meant.
"W-...WHAT??"

Shrike
He wants to play the latest and greatest VRMMORPG game, but he can't muster up the cash for the fancy new proprietary hardware and membership license. After months of saving up cash and arduous work, he has built a behemoth of a machine relying almost entirely on seedy old technology and a DIY guide by some dude named "Jimmy Bob." This is the story of his entry into the game. This is also a story of intrigue, exploration, introspection, batshit crazy game design, and unintended but entirely predictable consequences. This is G.C.O. Undergoing a total re-write, mostly because I think things were too rushed rather than any content or direction changes. If you are one of the few who tried Shrike when it was briefly updating, consider giving it another shot. Of no relation to either The Great Crusade or the recent (in 2017 lol) Shrike book for Warhammer by Games Workshop. All similarities in these cases are superficial; please don't sue me. Feedback welcome and encouraged, never be afraid to review or comment. HQ/Kindle-Grade cover art. Book Cover 2.0: "From the Dark"
