Primordial Dimensions Chapter 216

Shane was unsure whether Umbra remembered a lot about his life before he had tamed him because Umbra was barely born at that time.
However, he was sure that his companion was fully aware of how helpless he had felt at that time and how much fear the place he was born had instilled within him.
Umbra had been weak, powerless and alone, without anyone to rely on for support until Shane had abducted him with force.
At that time, Shane had been sure that he would die, but Umbra's sheer desire to live had made the contrary happen.
With the help of Shane, he began to live without the need to fear something or someone, and live freely. Shane had never shackled or forcefully kept him bound to him so as to prevent him from escaping out of his clutches.
This was because Shane had treated him more like a companion than a slave of a beast who would mutely follow his orders. Shane had turned into the most important person in his life. He was a savior, friend, and family to him; someone he would give his life for!
As if that was not enough, Shane had worked hard to provide him and the future tamed beasts with a large and suitable habitat to live in.
Even if it might take a long time before that would be accomplished, Umbra could tell that Shane was giving his best to make him feel comfortable.
When Umbra heard Shane's question, he wanted to reject it, only for old, almost forgotten memories to resurface within him.
He suddenly remembered the fear he had felt inside the Shadow-snake valley, where he was born.
This caused Umbra's decision to change as he transmitted his firm decision with determination gleaming inside his big, yellow slits.
'REVENGE!'
Umbra was unable to communicate in the Primordial language smoothly, even less human language, but Shane understood what his friend wanted to tell him.
As such he stepped through the Dimension Portal with a different destination than he had initially planned, while Umbra remained on the Hidden paradise.
Emerging within the BlackSoul shelter that was situated in the Soul-Onyx-Jungle, Shane adjusted his world's mana absorption to the bare minimum before he took out a raincoat.
After eating something at a food stall, Shane heard Umbra lamenting that he wanted to eat something too.
When Shane heard this, he almost choked on his food as he remembered that he had to feed Umbra too.
[I can't feed you fully prepared dishes….Either you eat raw meat or I'll look if I can purchase something like a large, automatic barbeque]
Once he received Shane's thoughts, Umbra tried to understand why he wouldn't be able to eat prepared food, only to remember that his size increased by more than 25 times.

If his hunger would remain the same without an increase in demand for more food, Shane would accept feeding Umbra with food like before, but his companion was not a light eater. He doubted that Umbra, his gluttonous friend, would refrain himself from eating several hundred kilos of meat if he was hungry.
Umbra was shocked when he realized that it would be difficult and extremely expensive to purchase loads of prepared dishes.
Shaking his head, Shane began to wonder what kind of tamed beast he got as he stood up to leave the shelter.
Only a few minutes later, he arrived at the shelter gate through which he stepped without any issues.
Once he distanced himself from the shelter, a small portal manifested next to Shane through which Umbra shot out.
A ferocious roar resounded through the shelter, shocking the few citizens living inside the BlackSoul shelter. Shane could only frown at that and jump on top of Umbra who was able to slither much faster through the mud than he could run.
While Umbra slithered through the jungle, uprooting trees and knocking them down flat to the ground, Shane took out a nightsight potion to see something in the darkness.
He was unsure whether the night circle had just started or if it would be over soon. However, after thinking about it for a short moment, he realised that it was not important.
The only important fact was that it was currently night because it made searching for the shadow-snake valley much easier.
Umbra could sense the darkness transmuted mana from the Nightshade flowers much easier.
Thanks to that, they found the shadow-snake valley in less than half an hour.
Taking a look around, not much seemed to have changed compared to the time Shane had plucked the Nightshade flowers for the first time.
Yet, what changed was that new Nightshade flowers had bloomed which was weird.
After thinking about it for a moment, Shane thought that it was not necessarily something special.
It was highly likely that he hadn't plucked out the whole roots of the Nightshade flowers that he had collected before, leaving a marginal part behind
This might have allowed them to regrow.
That was if the roots had received enough nutrition and mana to recuperate from the severe damages they had sustained due to Shane's rough behavior.
Nutrition and mana were not really a problem within the Shadow-snake valley and Shane began to wonder if he could make use of the fact that the Nightshade flowers seemed to be a special breed or even mutation.
At least, that was what it looked like as it was Shane hadn't expected the Nightshade flowers to blossom from the small part of their roots left behind.

Since Shane had purchased the world seed, he had researched a lot on the things he could do with a barren world, which was a mass of magma, ores, and soil around the world's core.
The possibilities were vast as long as one invested a little into it but the execution was harder than expected.
Initially, Shane wanted to start a small farm or something similar to that in the Hidden Paradise.
However, after his world bloomed, Shane noticed that he was able to utilize the Hidden Paradise however he wanted to.
For example, he could transform his world however he wanted to. Creating a small mountain while enlarging it was no problem and the same applied to a flatland if one could even label it as such.
The Hidden Paradise was only 200 meters in diameter and ball-shaped, as such it was not appropriate to talk about a flat land.
The problems with Shane's plan to create a farm started to show when he tried inserting something else in the Hidden Paradise.
While inserting that object, he tried to think about where it should land and what should happen with it.
Unfortunately, only the former worked while the latter didn't work.
As such, he would need someone else handling the farm because Shane couldn't enter his own world.
The only thing he could do was to observe and give instructions, nothing more.
In the end, Shane postponed thinking about creating a farm until he saw the Nightshade flower that regrew in such a short amount of time.
If he was not wrong, almost every single Nightshade flower he plucked had bloomed again.
This caused Shane to think about his plan to create a small farm again, but with a Nightshade flower field.
Considering that it was possible for them to regrow after being cut at its stem, Shane began to wonder if it was also possible to divide them and duplicate them by the stem cutting method employed by humans on earth.
'If I can plant the Nightshade flowers in my world and allow them to regrow by giving them enough mana and the necessary nutrition, I might be able to earn a huge fortune… The only problem is that I would have to rely on someone to plant and cut them once in a while.'
While Shane was already daydreaming wildly, Umbra glared at the center of the shadow-snake valley, where one could see the body of a long python.
Shane noticed this and regained his composure as he looked at the Colossal Darkness-python with interest.
"Last time, you almost killed us, now we'll show you what true terror is!"
Disregarding the thought about a possible Nightshade flower field within his own world, Shane paid full attention to the Colossal Darkness python and Umbra, who let out an ear-splitting roar while amplifying it with mana.
As the voice boomed through the large valley and the surrounding areas, every beast in the vicinity was woken up from their slumber as the Colossal Darkness python answered Umbra with a deep bellow.
However, the latter's roar was nothing in comparison to Umbra's.
Without wasting a single second, Umbra manifested several dozen darkness spears around him which he shot to the shadow-snake valley's center.
When the Colossal Darkness-Python saw this it immediately retaliated by manifesting the same amount of darkness spears which it shot towards Umbra.
Under normal circumstances, if two beasts were to fight against each other in a life-and-death battle, there wouldn't be a showdown of strength which was exactly what the Colossal Darkness-Python initiated.
This was done in order to demonstrate one's strength during a territorial fight. If one side were to be stronger than the other, the weaker party would either leave or continue to fight desperately, despite being well aware of its weak strength.
Unfortunately, what the Colossal Darkness Python didn't expect was not only that its strength was weaker than the mysterious, long snake with two horns on its head, but also the fact that Umbra had every intention to kill it.
There was no need for a territorial fight because this was a life-and-death battle!
Umbra's darkness spears shot through the night sky, clashing with the colossal Darkness python's darkness spears which shattered into smithereens.
Meanwhile, Umbra slithered down the slope to reach the valley's center while Shane was still seated on Umbra!
Umbra shot several more Darkness spears, showcasing his overwhelming strength as he looked the Colossal Darkness python dead in the eye. The Colossal Darkness python noticed that this was not a simple territorial fight where it didn't matter whether it would win or lose.
Distinct fear enveloped the Colossal Darkness python when it realized that its strength was incomparable to the Horned Darkness snake in front of it.
Umbra didn't bat an eye as he slithered down towards his archnemesis with a purpose and at that moment the Colossal Darkness python realised that this was not a life-and-death battle but an execution!!
