Primordial Dimensions Chapter 214

Aunt Kia who was interrupted by Shane's mumbling couldn't help but frown.
She was currently busy lecturing Shane but he didn't seem to listen to her at all.
Frustrated by his ignorance, she manifested a small bubble of mana around her finger and snapped it towards Shane where it burst open, dragging Shane out of his train of thoughts.
Holding his forehead where the bubble of mana hit him, he gently rubbed his temples. Shane couldn't help but look at Aunt Kia pitifully as he asked innocently.
"What did I do??"
Unable to tell whether he was sincere or trying to trick her, Kia only sighed deeply before she said
"Now that we have finished everything about your soul-bound world, you should focus on solving your [Tier-1 (Mythic)] mission first. Prepare yourself as well as possible and catch the Lesser Starlet fox...However, you are not allowed to let someone or something injure you!!"
Kia sounded cheerful and worried at the same time which made Shane think that his aunt was truly a peculiar personality as she continued to speak
"After that, it would be a good idea if you can introduce one of our ambassadors to the Elus-race so that we can establish a proper relationship with them.
It would be good if you could write a report about the Elementals Empire and what the ambassador has to pay attention to. At least, if we don't want to repeat a mistake you might have already done before! Doing a mistake once is fine but we should learn from it, right?"
Shane nodded his head agreeing with his aunt when he recalled all the things he had done in the Elementals Empire as he absent-mindedly blurted out.
"I doubt that the ambassador will meet the Emperor, Empress of the old Emperor…. Maybe he has to beat up a few stronger elementals too? Noo probably not...It was probably just me…"
Suddenly, Uncle Max exclaimed,
"Shane! We shouldn't expect to receive a war declaration from the Elus-race….right?"
"Huh? Did I say something?" Dragged out of his train of thoughts once again, Shane focused on his uncle and aunt who eyed him with suspicion as he recalled what he said a moment before.

"No no!! They won't declare war against us! I have made a good first impression!!... At least I think so. If the ambassador is not utterly stupid, we will have a new trading partner and maybe even friendly ties with the race that goes beyond business deals! Instead of telling everyone what happened, which would take too long, it should be better to write a detailed report, or am I wrong?"
Max and Kia were still unsure what to expect from Shane's report because he blabbered something about beating up a few elementals, which shouldn't happen under normal circumstances.
However, instead of hounding him with more questions, both nodded their heads when Max said
"I'll accompany you to the Dimension Portal so that you can enter the Shirai academy again. I guess that you have a few things to attend there in order to meet your friends again and prepare everything for your hunt."
Shane was already eager to meet Aimy, Olivia, Frer, and Aisha, again who seemed to have become his friends.
There were a bunch of things he had to prepare, namely, learning how to conceal his mana pool and mana fluctuations was probably the most important, followed by preparing lots of traps at the [extraordinary] quality with certain space sealing abilities.
This would cost a huge fortune and Shane's heart gave a dull thud at the thought of it.
He had close to 32,000 gold coins right now and Shane's only hope was that he didn't have to use up everything.
After he heard his uncle's offer to take him to the Dimension Portal, Shane politely declined it, saying that he wanted to spend some time with Umbra instead of ordering him to enter his world immediately after they had reunited.
Aunt Kia didn't understand this, but she refrained from commenting after seeing Max nod his head, who did understand how Shane felt.
Tiamir accompanied Uncle Max wherever he went, even if he was weaker than him.
During expeditions in dangerous advanced dimensions, Max used to safely lock Tiamir inside the specific area created by his occupational skill.

They were still connected after being separated through Max's tamer skill and Max felt that it was annoying to be so close, yet so far from each other.
As such, he could only nod his head in understanding before he dragged Kia towards Tiamir.
Bidding farewell, both asked Shane to keep them updated on his whereabouts.
Tiamir, who retained a certain distance from Umbra during the whole time Shane, Kia, and Max were talking, flapped his wings when everyone was done bidding farewell.
Ascending into the air, Tiamir accelerated its speed and Shane could only wave back at them before he turned his gaze towards Umbra.
With a faint smile, Shane decided to do what Umbra used to do during their early days of friendship as he jumped on top of Umbra's large body.
Holding his dark-blue gleaming horns, he shouted,
"Let's go!"
Suppressing his laughter when he heard the thoughts Umbra transmitted, Shane couldn't help but feel happy.
Sensing this, Umbra decided that it might not be as bad as imagined if Shane were to ride on his back.
Slithering out of the large crater that Shane had created, Umbra accelerated his speed, showing his master and friend how fast he could be.
Light gusts of wind brushed past his face and he felt overjoyed to have some time for himself and Umbra.
It was not like he was annoyed to work hard and do everything possible to become stronger but Shane thought that he could relax a few hours a month.
The two strolled through the flatlands for more than an hour as the 50 meters long, black-scaled snake showed off his skills and abilities to his master, a young, black-haired youth on his back.
"Should we take a look at your evolution paths and what we need to increase your quality?" Shane asked Umbra expecting to receive a determined and motivating reaction.
However, Umbra's reaction was more like 'You want me to evolve again? Now that we finally meet again… I'm just your tool, aren't I?'
That was unexpected and it took Shane a while to calm down Umbra, who was already sulking which looked extremely weird for a 50-meter long snake.
As such, instead of taking a look with Umbra together, Shane looked at his tamed beast's evolution path in secret.

He was only able to glance at the first two evolution paths, but the information he received from the simple panel in front of him shocked Shane greatly.
There were a total of five evolution paths with three of them being hidden. Furthermore, the first evolution path required Umbra to have a [Uncommon] quality.
If there was only one evolution path for every subsequent quality rank, the 5th evolution path required Shane to enhance Umbra's quality to the [Forbidden] quality.
The possible evolution paths made him ponder, but after thinking about it for a moment, he concluded that it was more likely for Umbra to have several evolution paths for a single quality rank.
Otherwise, a [Forbidden] quality at the basic dimension would not only be weird, and extremely expensive but also cause the system's balance to shatter into smithereens!
Either way, Shane was happy that Umbra had five evolution paths that could give him the opportunity to choose the best as long as he was able to increase Umbra's quality!
Thus, Shane accessed his Innate Skill's quality upgrade function to look at the requirements to increase his quality from [Trash] to [Common]

A Mildly Odd Reality Breaker
Omar receives an unexpected visitor who comes baring a gift—a "registration ticket"—in the form of a small metal card. The ticket is itself an offer to participate in the game, "Reality Break." Accepting this offer means that Omar will be able to perceive the true nature of reality where there is not one, but two dimensions of time, and in this second dimension history changes (and somewhat "frequently"). Along with this, he will also gain access to the "chronopause"; another reality that is not so much parallel to our own as it is perpendicular, which acts as both a place and the natural boundary between non-sequential points on the timeline. Using the chronopause, Omar will become a chrononaut with the ability to travel through time, and as a player, he will be given a cybernetic interface and his own portable extradimensional storage space. It's a strange conversation, but due to Omar's dismally short attention span, he only consciously hears that last bit about the portable pocket space, and that's only after the physics-defying void is opened in his living room and literally waved in front of his face. Reality is certainly stranger than most people realize, but then again, so is Omar. Thankfully, he responds well to shiny things, and for better or for worse, his chronic inattentiveness is the least of his psychological issues. Omar also has a mild form of "Oppositional Defiant Disorder" which presents itself as an occasional, arbitrary need to disobey others (especially authority figures). However, his oddest psychological issue by far is his "abnormally hyperactive" subconscious mind. Outwardly and consciously, Omar is a lazy, apathetic man-child prone to mildly asinine behavior. Subconsciously, he's some sort of genius capable of extraordinary feats of cognition. Most of the time, Omar is a (technically) functioning adult, but in order to live as such, he must rely entirely upon unusual abilities he's completely unaware of, despite the fact that he uses them regularly. Up until now, his life had merely been ridiculous, but now it was also a game. Note: The narrative style is that of a reliable narrator with a "3rd-person sarcastic" POV. This story takes place in the Reality Breakers/Chronopause universe.
