Primordial Dimensions Chapter 210

During the four days that Shane had been in the [Zone] state, he had been unable to perceive how the world seed had blossomed and he had even missed noticing Umbra's awakening from his evolution.
The day the golden hue had permeated the air, a huge shockwave that was subconsciously unleashed by Shane had rippled through the atmosphere devouring everything in its wake. The surrounding flat land and everything else that had been standing on the ground was blown to dust, creating a huge crater with him in the center.
Uncle Max and aunt Kia were extremely shocked to witness this, unaware that something like this might happen. Watching the scene unfold in front of them had been nerve-wracking and they had been worried about Shane's health.
However, Shane was oblivious to their worries and doing completely fine, rather he was filled with energy.
He began to glow in a faint light while the area around his mana pool began to glow in a dense light. Slowly, a small blue seed separated itself from Shane before it began to ascend into the air.
Both Kia and Max watched in fascination as the seed began to sprout as it unleashed all the mana stored within it at once.
The surrounding [Soul] grade mana stones were disintegrated, leaving behind a dense fog of mana as the particles were drawn to the blue shining seed. The small grain began to transform into a mass of ores, magma, and earth as they were sucked in by the seed, enveloping it in a cocoon of sorts that held everything together.
When the fog of mana was absorbed to a large extent, the world seed that had bloomed into the Hidden Paradise, Shane's own small world, began to enlarge by using a minuscule amount of mana compared to what it required to bloom.
In the span of a few moments, the seed grew from the size of a grain to that of a basketball before it stopped absorbing mana abruptly as Shane's body began to rattle.

Unbeknownst to everyone, the beast sealing card within Shane was extracted, releasing a large darkness mana cocoon, before it tore apart.
The large darkness cocoon laid next to Shane, trembling violently as it perceived the dense fog of mana around it and devoured it hungrily without bothering about anything else in its surroundings.
Fortunately, the Hidden Paradise was not a sentient being and absorbed only enough mana to enlarge itself to a basketball-sized world before it descended towards Shane.
The closer it got to Shane, the smaller it seemed to become before it shrunk to the size of a grain again as it fused with Shane's mana pool once more.
Aunt Kia and uncle Max were bewildered as a number of events occurred in quick succession but both were overjoyed to see that their worries had been pointless.
While Kia was exhilarated about the world seed that blossomed into such a small, yet beautiful world without any more issues, Max was shocked to see the darkness cocoon.
Using his mana fluctuations to perceive what kind of being was inside the cocoon, Max couldn't help but exclaim out loud as he mumbled,
"How is that possible? Is Shane a tamer? And how can he tame a beast and evolve it into such a being in less than five months?? If the beast's quality was not high from the beginning he must have upgraded it...but that shouldn't be so easy...right?"
Both were shocked and clueless as they had a number of unanswered questions, but Shane didn't notice any of that as he was still in the [Zone] state at that time.
However, he would have also been astonished to see that Umbra, who was still in the darkness cocoon, had forcefully extracted the beast sealing card from Shane's body to release himself, tearing the card apart.
This was something unexpected and Shane would have loved to see both his world seed sprouting and Umbra's cocoon.
Nevertheless, three more days passed and both Shane and Umbra, who was still in his cocoon absorbed all the mana in their surroundings before the fog of mana dissipated.

Shane's mana absorption decreased by a large margin after the basketball-sized Hidden Paradise merged with his body again and it was at most comparable to a Master stage at the Intermediate-Dimensions.
Yet, in comparison, the Hidden-Paradise's demand for mana had reached an all-time low.
In total, Shane had to supply it with at most one [Mortal (Uncommon)] mana stone to sustain the world's life at the size of a basketball which was not much.
As such, Shane was able to store a lot of mana within the world core which was what the bloomed world seed transformed into.
The system, which was already aware of Shane's demands, was told to enlarge the Hidden-Paradise to a radius of around 100 meters which would be more than enough for Umbra to live on after he finished his evolution.
At least that was what Shane expected it to become when he configured everything in order to prevent doing everything manually.
Furthermore, that was exactly why Shane assumed that he obtained the title [One with the World(Unique)] for!
The basketball-sized world which levitated minimized within his mana pool. It would have been a large sphere with a radius of 100 meters outside him, but within his mana pool, it maintained the grain size.
Shane would have been proud of himself if he were to notice that everything was going according to his configurations and plans, but he was still in the [Zone] state at that time.
On the third day after the golden hue had first appeared, the darkness cocoon burst open as a thunderous roar resounded throughout the surrounding area. A 50-meter long black-scaled snake with cold, football-sized slits as eyes and two dark-blue gleaming horns was released.
At that time, Umbra spared a short glance to his surroundings to see where he was before he coiled himself around Shane.
After that he closed his eyes, waiting for Shane to wake up because he was unable to absorb more mana, restrained by his quality that was reduced to [Trash] after evolving into a Darkness-horned snake.
On the fourth day, Umbra noticed that Shane was waking up which caused him to open his eyes as he waited patiently for his master to wake up.
They hadn't seen each other for three months, but their bond grew stronger with time because they could sense each other's emotions.
While Umbra was thankful to Shane for giving his utmost efforts to establish a proper living space for him, Shane knew that he had demanded a lot from a former Wild stage beast.
Shane wanted to transform Umbra into the strongest tamed beast, but was that what Umbra wished for?
He asked himself that often and it was unlikely that he would force his tamed beasts to do things they wouldn't want to do if they had the opportunity to choose.
As such, Shane wanted to do everything to make his tamed beasts feel more comfortable, even if it might cost a fortune.
In his opinion, the costs would never outweigh the importance of his tamed beasts!
Staring into Umbra's large yellow slits that were filled with gentleness and love, Shane couldn't help but smile brightly as he stood up to reach for Umbra's head and caress him.
"It's been a long time, right little one?...Wait!... It looks like I can't call you little one anymore! How large did you become?"
He was shocked by Umbra's devastating change from a 2 meters long snake to that of a snake with a length of around 50 meters.
Suddenly an upsetting thought emerged in his mind as he shouted out
"Wait!! You won't grow more when I enhance your quality, right??"

Fallout: Vault X
An original novel set in the Fallout universe, written to be accessible to all, featuring unique people and places. Vol.II. out now Fallout: Vault X tells the story of John. A vault dweller, who spent every day of his twenty five years underground. Like his father, and his father before him. Proud to live in the last remaining bastion of humanity, all that survived The Great War of the atomic age. Hidden deep below the surface of the earth, toiling under brutal conditions. Year after year, decade upon decade. All to expand into the natural cave system the Vault occupied, building for the future. However, John knew what his forefathers did not, that everything he’d been taught was a lie. After finishing school at the age of ten, John received his standard issue pipboy. An arm mounted personal computer, worn by everyone in the Vault. Used to coordinate the relentless pace of expansion, needed to work as an apprentice. To learn the craft that would be his life’s work. A noble calling to ensure a future for all that remained of the human race. A quirk of fate saw John equipped not with the crude, clunky, pipboy model his father wore. That almost everyone around him wore. His looked smaller, sleeker, finished in a jet black sheen. And capable of doing far more than its drab counterparts. The world above had been ravaged by atomic flames, yet life clung to its bones. The Red Valley fared better than most in the century since the bombs fell. The clean water and rich soil protected by rolling hills. All spared from direct strikes, for the most part. Life survived here. Trees spawned from charred ground, misshapen, green leaves turned red. Along with simple crops, grown wild at first, then cultivated by the survivors. The scavengers of the old world were inventive, hardy people. All determined to rebuild in the ruins of a world they never knew. In the decades that passed settlements emerged. They grew, spreading along the valley floor. Reclaiming the pre-war remnants of the once industrialised heartland. Salvaging the robotic wonders of a bygone age to build their walls and work their fields. To protect them in the dark of the wasteland. But such things are uncommon in this world, and the rarer something is, the greater its value. And the worth of pre-war technology had not gone unnoticed. The last, real, power in this world rested in the mechanised hands of The Brotherhood of Steel. Forged from the mortally wounded old world military. The Brotherhood used its access to the weapons made for a conflict no one won to strike out into the wastes. Men and women were equipped with advanced armour, aerial transportation, high grade weaponry. Accompanied by the training, strength, and will, to put them to use. They established chapters and set up outputs far and wide. All dedicated to a single purpose. To ensure the technology left abandoned by its long dead creators didn’t fall into the wrong hands. Namely, any hands that were not their own. This is the world John escaped into. A place of horrors brought forth from atomic fire. A place where survival meant battling against the darkness. Fighting a war each day to get to the next. And war...war never changes
