Primordial Dimensions Chapter 176

Walking back inside the Portal hall, he entered one of the many changing rooms used by all students to put on their combat garments. He had purchased a new set of clothes for a few bronze coins and changed into them.
Previously he had forgotten how cheap these clothes were, which caused him to laugh when he recalled the onlookers staring weirdly at him.
Shaking his head, he stored away his bloody clothes before he rushed towards the principal's office because he had something important to report to his aunt.
He was not really a fan of messages and would rather talk in person instead.
Furthermore, it was a hassle to explain everything over a message and wait for her response.
As such, he just entered his aunt's office, after telling the secretary that he had something important to tell the principal.
The secretary just nodded her head and scanned his ID to tell the principal that Shane Suro was waiting for her.
Sitting down on the couch, he made himself comfortable, only to hear someone running through the hallway with loud steps.
It had barely been five minutes since Shane sat down and Aunt Kia had already returned to her office after delivering the monthly speech before the monthly rankings.
This astonished him a little but seeing the stressed expression on her face, Shane couldn't help but grin brightly.
"I'm back, Aunt!" He just said, showing her a peace sign.
Seeing this, Kia couldn't help but smile too as she thought,
'It's good that he is still happy… That means the situation with the world seed is not that bad!'
However, Shane's next words caused her smile to stiffen almost immediately,
"I think I have to ask for help…"
Shane's expression turned gloomy when he said that. Initially, he didn't want to ask for any help and seeing his aunt's stiffened smile, he tried to reassure her.
"Not now...but probably slightly more than a month from now. I had noticed that the world seed's demand for mana is higher than expected even before you messaged me.

After I noticed that, I tried to figure out how much the demand for mana increases per day!"
Kia was still standing in the doorway, waiting for Shane to continue to speak, as he looked at her with a fake smile
"Don't you want to sit down? It should be better that way…"
Hearing this, Kia's mood hit rock bottom and she entered the office before closing the door behind her.
Sitting down, she looked at Shane while nibbling at her lower lip.
In the end, it was mostly her fault for asking Shane to purchase and bind a world seed to his soul.
If the world seed were to wither because of mana scarcity, she didn't know if Shane would be in trouble because of that.
"40 days from now the Basic-Primordial Dimensions won't be enough to supply the world seed with enough mana anymore. After that, the demand for mana will only increase further for the last two weeks until it will finally blossom.
If my guess is not wrong, even the Intermediate-Dimensions might not be enough to supply mana during the last four days...I also noticed that the world seed's mana absorption continues to increase, which means that I could absorb more mana to store it inside the world seed.
However, even if that is the case, I can at most stay inside the Basic-Primordial Dimensions for 45 days before the stored mana would be completely used up.
I guess that even if I were to enter the Intermediate-Dimensions now, it won't be enough to absorb and store mana inside the world seed, and allow it to blossom!
Entering the Advanced Dimension is way too risky for me. We don't have a perfectly secured shelter that I could enter to absorb mana without worrying about the terrifying existences I might attract.
That's why I came to you! Not only do I need your help but I guess that I have to ask the others too…."

Despite hearing Shane's calculations, Kia continued to bite her lips before she asked him to tell her everything starting with how much mana the world seed required in the beginning to the daily increment and also his world seed's current demand for mana.
She scribbled on a notepad furiously as Shane recited his calculations as accurately as he could. His aunt started to calculate in her mind before she added a few uncertain variables which might increase the demand for mana in the last few days.
After around five minutes, she raised her head to look into Shane's eyes. They were devoid of the slightest trace of uncertainty or fear in them which astonished Kia.
'Is he trusting me way too much or does he not care about it?' She asked herself, only to subconsciously ignore the latter reason.
However, either way, Shane's situation seemed to be good and bad at the same time.
She figured out that Shane's calculation was correct. She agreed that even the Intermediate Dimensions might not have enough mana in the surroundings to satiate his world seed's increasing desire for mana.
Shane was also right with the dangers of the advanced Dimension and that his world seed's high mana absorption might attract a few extremely strong beasts.
However, while they couldn't send Shane inside an advanced Dimension, they might as well bring something outside the advanced Dimension!!
Smiling at Shane, Kia said reassuringly.
"You don't have to be afraid of your world seed withering. If the world seeds demand continues to increase like this, it won't be much of a problem to solve this issue. It might only be slightly expensive for your Uncles and Aunts...hehe."
Before Shane could say anything Aunt Kia continued.
"Let me take care of everything! Just continue to become stronger during the next 40 days! Once your world seed's stored mana is about to run out, we will be there for you! We can bring a huge stash of mana stones from the advanced dimensions!
With enough soul-grade mana stones, everything will be fine..."
Kia finished her short answer in a whisper "...even if I have to deprive the others of their cultivation resources!"
Shane gave her a bright smile at that. He knew that he had come to the right person for guidance.
He had expected to receive her help by receiving mana stones, but Shane hadn't predicted that Kia would be so adamant to help him.
However, after thinking about it, he could roughly understand what she thought and why exactly she acted this way.
'Does she feel guilty or is it something else?' A question popped into his mind and he shrugged his shoulders. Shane was thankful for Kia who was already writing a message in their group, requesting help for Shane's world seed's mana shortage.
After solving his biggest issue, Shane wanted to step inside the Dimension-spheres, where he had already booked an appointment. He was eager to return to the Primordial Dimensions as soon as possible and was going to take her to leave when their group chat was suddenly flooded with several messages at once.
Almost everyone in the group started to write messages and within five minutes more than 100 message notifications flooded Shane's system log.
Not knowing what the hell exactly was going on, Shane could only think that all the messages were about his 'small' mana shortage issue.
Taking a deep breath, he reluctantly opened the group chat, where he saw that every single member of the family had sent a message including his father!

Tower of Somnus
When humanity first encountered alien life, we were judged and found wanting. The Galactic Consensus interviewed our leaders and subjected us to a battery of psychological tests to determine our progress as a society. They found us to be selfish, wasteful, impulsive, and boorish neighbors. Earth was blockaded and our collective encounter with our extrasolar neighbors rapidly faded from memory. All they left behind was a hypercomm relay and a handful of subscriptions to a massively multiplayer game that participants played in their sleep. The megacorporations that controlled Earth ignored the game until they learned that the powers earned from clearing dungeons were just as real when day broke. Magic, supernatural abilities and rumors exploded from nothing and a subscription to The Tower of Somnus became a status symbol. Katherine ‘Kat’ Debs doesn’t have much, but it could be worse.
