Primordial Dimensions Chapter 157

Seeing Shane's flustered expression caused Kia to smiled brightly as she explained
"Oh, that? If only individuals that unlocked the hidden shop talk to each other about it, nothing will happen!"
"Huh?" Shane exclaimed without thinking much about it as he understood what this meant
"You unlocked the hidden shop as well? Wait...that was a stupid question...obviously you already knew about the hidden shop, otherwise, you and the others wouldn't have been able to give me hints because nobody would be aware of a perfect physique's perks and the Supreme tickets!!"
Finding the answer to his question, Shane suddenly felt that he was dim-witted. It was as if he was thrown back to his childhood because he used to ask dumb questions as a child that he would find answers to, on his own later.
Kia chuckled lightly at that, glad to see that Shane hadn't changed much over the last few months, which her whole circle of friends was concerned about.
This included even the battle maniac Lory and Weapon specialist Cheng who had been initially confident about Shane's strong will.
However, after the first few days, where Shane was dragged into a double beast tide and finding out that he had earned more than 7000 gold coins in his first month inside the Primordial Dimensions changed a lot.
Earning 7000 gold coins was not a big deal for anyone from their friend circle, because a single high-ranked beast was worth less than that.
Yet, Shane was still at the Mortal stage at that time and had only entered the Primordial Dimensions barely two months ago which was nothing compared to their experience of more than a century.
None of them wanted to imagine how dangerous Shane's journey must have been.
They had been glad to receive his message, informing them that he was fine, only to learn later that he had jumped straight in a double-beast tide with an intelligent, strong beast as his opponent.
Fortunately, the reinforcement had arrived early enough to prevent anything worse and both Shane and the shelter had survived which was the best outcome their whole group could imagine.
However, as if Shane hadn't given them enough reason to worry, Aisha Hael told Lard that she heard that Shane vanished almost immediately after the beast tide was over.
Only after asking a few guards did she find out that Shane was said to have left the shelter to enter the forest's outskirts.
Once this news reached their group, everyone couldn't help but feel that Shane was being overly ambitious, and didn't know when to stop.

In the end, Shane's attitude created a large dispute in their group because everyone started playing the blame game, pointing fingers at others for having influenced the youth in a bad way.
It took a long time before they noticed that all of them had somehow influenced him, whether it was in a good or bad way.
As such, they could only remain quiet and hope for the best outcome.
Meanwhile, Kia predicted that Shane would want to save as many funds as possible and that he would apply to get accepted at one of the big academies which was the reason for her to forcefully take the Principal seat of the Shirai academy.
She had simply handed the previous principal a generous gift and had immediately received his position without any issue.
This was partially because she was a well-known personality and she was adept at using fame in her favor.
After that she just told Shane to attend the Shirai academy and that's how the whole story continued while Lars sent Aisha to the academy to test how strong Shane really was and if they had to be worried about anything.
Shane had already expected something like that to happen so it was not surprising that his other aunts and uncles would try to figure out what exactly he was doing.
Little did he know that he was the reason for their group's biggest dispute since they got to know each other.
If someone were to tell Shane that, he would just laugh it off, and say that it had to be a bad lie because he never felt that his aunts and uncles were overprotective or people that liked to accuse each other.
As such, he couldn't imagine something like that or even a remotely similar case.
While Kia was in her own world, Shane looked at her in confusion because he didn't know what she was thinking about and he stood up to leave.
There were several things he had to look after right now and time wasn't going to wait for him.
When he was about to excuse himself after their short talk, his aunt finally looked at him and asked something she was interested in, as she was not able to completely understand Shane's desperation to amass gold coins as quickly as possible.
"Why do you need so many gold coins that you even convinced Aisha to enter the elemental crystal cave? Furthermore, you tricked the whole Valkyrie unit in order to receive a few thousand more gold coins...As such I can only estimate that there is something you really need to purchase...Max already offered to transfer enough funds to you and you very well know that all of us would do the same…"

Hearing his aunt, Shane couldn't help but twitch for a second, when he honestly answered.
"Aunt Kia, I'm thankful for your offer and I sincerely appreciate everybody's support, but for now, I want to see how far I can go without financial support.
This might change in the future when I won't be able to keep up with my expenditures anymore, however, it's still working relatively fine for now.
As for why I had to trick the Valkyries for their belongings and convince Aisha to enter the elemental crystal cave, the reason is pretty simple.
Right now, I have three areas where I have to invest a lot.
The first is to establish a perfect foundation which is more expensive than I estimated!
To think that the price of 500 gold coins for the [Mortal-(Mythical)] body refining technique was cheaper than the expenses for the refining process was already shocking enough.
As such, I need enough funds for the next perfect physique after I solve the next mythic mission once I attain a flawed 10th Apprentice stage physique.
The second reason why I need so many gold coins is my taming skill and the expenses to nurture the best possible tamed beasts, which can be done by enhancing their quality!
Some might think that this is stupid but I disagree because my Innate Skill is different than other taming skills, which gives me a few advantages over others!
Besides, there is still another problem for me to solve in the next few months.
Right now, I already have a beast sealing card of extraordinary quality with a [soul connection] ability in order to store my first tamed beast inside it.
As you probably know, it's problematic to let larger beasts roam through the shelter and also forbidden without a special certificate.
However, the main issue is that I either need a MUCH larger beast sealing card with the same ability or something similar to store my first tamed beast in the future because it is currently evolving!
If my tamed beast were to be a small one and its evolution small, I wouldn't be in such a problematic state as I'm currently in.
I don't know how much my tamed beast will grow, but I'm sure that I can't let him stay outside when I want to enter the shelter!
That's why I wanted to purchase a miniature world that can be customized, enlarged and much more as long as I have enough funds.
Once I have a miniature world, everything would be much easier, because I also don't want to pick my occupation hastily, only to receive a storage skill for tamed beasts.
Furthermore, a long time ago, Max told me that miniature worlds are better than a tamer's storage skill, so I might as well start immediately without wasting funds for high-grade beast sealing cards!"
Hearing Shane's response, Aunt Kia entered a state of deep thoughts with which he was already familiar.
In the end, he was not perfect or anything close to that, and maybe Aunt Kia might be able to remember something that could help him. Hence, he waited patiently for her to give him some advice.
And five minutes later, Aunt Kia's brown eyes gleamed brightly as she stared straight into his when she said.
"Your first issue is nothing to be worried about because the expenses for a perfect foundation can be acquired over time!
As for the second reason of your financial issue, with your Taming skill and enhancement of your tamed beasts, I can't really figure out much without further information.
However, from what I understand, you don't seem to have much problem enhancing your tamed beast's quality, if you're sure that it will evolve into something extremely big.
From your confidence, I can tell that it evolved with a high quality which is definitely something good either way."
Smiling brightly, Shane felt both good and weird that his aunt could comprehend almost everything just from his words.
However, that was what he had wanted to achieve because it might help him to tackle the third issue.
"The second area for your gold coins to be invested should be much more expensive than the first area with the perfect foundation, and I think that it would be the best if you just set aside some gold coins after every hunting session which includes your expedition through the elemental crystal cave during the last few days!
As for the third area you want to invest….There are many other solutions you might take into account but Max's words are certainly true because other races also claim that a miniature world is the most comfortable for living beings to reside.
Thus, you might as well purchase a customized world seed instead of a fully established miniature world!"

Marrow
Marrow was old... older than me or you. Older than the nation he lived in. And older than anyone he knew. Which is not surprising, because he did not know anyone else. He had been sitting, or perhaps leaning is the more apt expression, in a closet for many, many years, and had done nothing but stare. But eating, or rather chewing, a spider opened up another world to him. A world with a voice that was talking to him - to HIM! Marrow did not get what the voice was saying, but that was secondary at this point. And Marrow started to feel restless. Nuff said. If you like a sometimes quirky skeleton as the main character and want to ride along for its coming of age, or perhaps rather coming of sapience story... give it a shot. It is a litrpg context with skills, levels, heroes and monsters... and a skeleton. Not sure yet how fast the skeleton will level... we'll have to wait and see. As a disclaimer... this is my secondary novel... my main story is ongoing and most of my time is dedicated to that. As such, new chapters will, at first, be rather infrequent and irregular. If things go well, I may shift more attention to the story, but we shall see how things go.

Can the human race of steel and fire stand against the creatures created by the most ancient of powers? "I get the feeling this story might be one of those 'diamonds in the rough'. The premise is quite solid, there's plenty of room to flesh out the characters. It's quite easy to get into and be engaged by at the moment, imo. I don't know where the story will go from here, but it's off to a good start me thinks." - Xenower Attribution: The cave picture in the book cover is made by Stanislav Sedov and is licensed under CC-BY-SA-2.0 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.0/ This picture was modified from the original with an overlaid moon and sea picture to be found at https://www.flickr.com/photos/ssedov/26342569905 The photographer has no affiliation to Tschallacka nor can be held accountable for the use of this picture the way as it is here.
