Primordial Dimensions Chapter 104

Entering the education building complex for first-years, Shane searched for his class. He noticed a somewhat familiar middle-aged man entering his classroom.
Shane rushed past him into his class, not bothering to see the weird glances shot at him as he grabbed the first unoccupied chair he could find.
The students around him gave him curious looks before they looked in the front to see their teacher arrive.
Shane finally figured out why the teacher in front of him looked so familiar.
It was the middle-aged man with short dark blue hair, who had amplified his snapping the day before, during Principal Kia's speech in order to calm everyone down.
Taking a deep breath, he awaited his teacher's speech, only to be disappointed as he said in a monotonous voice
"Hello 'dear' students, my name is Leo Larka; Mr.Larka for you and I will be your class-teacher or professor, however, you want to put it.
Just so that everyone knows...I hate unnecessary questions... As such, I hope that everyone is able to think before asking dumb questions!.
Our schedule for today is the knowledge exam, but everyone should already be aware of that, while the rest of the week is also already scheduled.
Because of that, I'll only share the more important information as of now.
The knowledge exam today and the martial art proficiency exam tomorrow will be the easiest way to receive access to the Dimensional-spheres. Everyone who passes the requirement will be rewarded with a few hours of access.
This, however, can be seen as a one-time reward, for everyone who diligently studied and practiced during the period prior to the system awakening.
After that, the Rankings, certain missions, and the school merit system will determine the period one can spend inside the Dimension-spheres.
Is there any question up till now? If not, we'll start without wasting more time!"
After Mr. Larka ended his short speech, nobody raised their voice or hand, even if some students were rather confused about certain things. Shane wanted to figure out something because there was something fundamentally wrong that bothered him.
Thus, he raised his hand, and everyone's attention turned towards him.
Mr. Larka opened a holographic screen that displayed a picture of every student. His gaze fell upon the raised hand as he asked
"Yes, Shane Suro. What is it that you want to know?" Even if the words used by Mr.Larka seemed nice and courteous, the tone of his voice was rather impatient and annoyed, causing Shane to look at his teacher weirdly.

'Freak' He thought before he asked
"Mr.Larka, this is not a question about the knowledge exam, but that was not asked here, right?
As such, I'll just ask what I'm curious about the Shirai academy.
If one were to enter the Master rank, ascending into the Intermediate Dimensions, before graduation, what exactly would be the use of the Academy?
There are only Tier-1 and Tier-2 Dimension-spheres which allows us to learn Tier-2 techniques and skills at most.
Are Tier-2 techniques in this case still valuable enough for students to spend their time in the Dimension-spheres or would this be considered a waste of time?"
Shane asked this question because of some specific reasons.
First; he wanted to figure out how much his teacher knew, second; Shane wanted to know more about the academy's benefits and the third reason was that he wanted to compare his own answer to his teachers'.
Mr. Larka continued to stare at Shane for a few seconds, without taking his eyes off him before he finally answered.
"Mr. Suro, or can I say Shane? Either way...the answer to your question is definitely important for everyone to know. There are thousands of second-year students that break into the Master rank each year, with even more third-year students doing the same.
Their majority however remains at the Expert rank in order to improve their mana purity further.
In my opinion, breaking into the Master stage, by liquefying one's mana before the age of 20 is comparable to wasting effort.
Every single time I see someone breaking into the master stage with a mana purity of 60%, I ask myself, why would they do something like this?
It's a waste of potential and considering that they are still teenagers or young men and women, with hundreds of years ahead of them. I doubt that someone who broke through with a mana purity of 60% will survive within the Intermediate Dimensions for a long time.
At least, if they venture outside to earn funds.
In order to fight beasts head-on, humans would have to break into the master rank with a mana purity of 80% at the bare minimum. Completing either [Tier-2] [Platinum] or [Diamond] missions before the age of 18 or 20 to obtain such high mana purifying techniques, is extremely good. Also, the purification process tends to slow down with a subsequent increase in mana purity.

As such, ascending before graduation, without wasting potential, is extremely difficult."
Looking around the class, Mr.Larka noticed that he had received everyone's attention because he felt that he had explained some crucial facts. However, seeing Shane look at him as if he had heard this hundred of times, Mr. Larka's face fell a bit. He continued, not without being a little disgruntled.
"Now, back to your question.
What benefits can students obtain from the academy in case they decide to break into the Master stage before reaching a mana purity of 80%? And, the same for the case of someone breaking through with a mana purity of more than 80% before graduation.
As for the first case, the techniques provided by the Dimension-spheres are still useful and valuable enough to learn and practice, even though they are only Tier-2 techniques.
Until someone with a low mana purity breakthrough standard learns a Tier-3 technique, a lot of time passes. They are simply unable to hunt beasts alone, even if we are only talking about the weakest beast.
The only beasts they can hunt are Wild, Elite, and Awakened beasts within the Intermediate Dimensions and they are worth much less compared to beasts at the Myst stage.
Meanwhile, for someone with a higher mana purity breakthrough standard, these students won't necessarily require the Dimension-spheres. If they wanted to learn Tier-2 techniques, they could gather funds in a short period by hunting Myst stage beasts in order to purchase Tier-2 techniques, and directly learn them.
As such, the efficiency of the Dimension-spheres diminishes.
What the academy provides, which is still efficient, are large connections to all merchants, blacksmiths, alchemists, and rune inscribers, allowing the students to receive materials, ingredients, weapons, and other necessities for a much cheaper price.
Furthermore, Shirai Academy has many highly recommended combat teachers, knowledgeable professors, and most importantly, even Basic lifestyle classes. At the academy, students with enough merit points are eligible to learn forging, brewing/concocting, or inscribing from a high-ranked Master.
If this is not enough to satisfy your question Shane, there is also the possibility for students to team up in order to solve system missions together, as long as the stated mission doesn't require the mission to be solved alone.
Accomplishing missions with others is much easier than doing it alone. Obtaining high-quality body refining techniques in order to strengthen your physique or mana compressing manuals in order to cultivate with higher efficiency is important."
Ending his speech, he looked around, to see everyone gasp. Mr. Larka averted his gaze to Shane while showing a proud expression, only to see that his student looked extremely dissatisfied, almost as if he was sad about the benefits.
'Is that all?' Shane asked himself when his attention went back to the table in front of him, which projected a holographic screen, similar to the system.
"Mr. Larka, can we start now?" He asked innocently, causing everyone to look at him as if he was someone from a different planet.
'Can't you let us digest the massive amount of information?!?!'
'Who the hell do you think you are? Our president's son?!'
'Cutie!! Even if your hot, don't overdo it'
However none of them stated their complaints out loud, and they remained quiet. Mr.Larka took a deep breath before he said
"Yes….let's not waste more time.." He felt extremely disappointed with this student's behavior, but it was not that what he said was wrong.
'Why am I even expecting to be praised or overwhelmed with curious students?! It should be considered extremely good that he remained calm while digesting important information...as long as he understood what I said!'
Hearing that they were allowed to start to write the exam, Shane immediately accessed the holographic screen with his student ID, as a catalog with hundreds of questions flooded him.
They were divided into different main topics, from [Primordial Dimension] to [Mankind], [Allied/Neutral/Hostile race], [Politics], [Military], [Warfare], [Occupations], [Basic's Cultivation/Body refining], [Beasts on Igra], [Cataclysm], [Important Individuals], [Primordial language], [Etiquette with unknown races], [Finances] and a few more.
While others seemed to frown deeply by the sheer number of questions, Shane couldn't help but smile lightly.
'Did Aunt Kia create this? This format looks similar to the weekly test papers she always prepared!?'

Khaldir's Observer
Markus Kuberski, a 21-year-old mechanical engineering student at the Vienna University of Technology and a weeb, is bored by life. He has no girlfriend he cannot meet up with his friends because there is another Covid-lockdown and getting a side-job is also unsuccessful. Therefore, he has started to write a web novel. “If I cannot be the main character with magical powers and a harem full of cute girls in real life then I will create my own universe and be its protagonist.” Although that has been his first thought, he neither dare to use himself as the main character’s template nor write a harem story. “I am not that desperate!” he muses to himself. Little does he know that he will get more than he asked for when a mighty existence becomes interested in his story and makes it a reality. Hello, this is my first attempt at creating something like a novel. English is also not my native language, so expect some grammar and punctuation issues. I am using Grammarly to help myself in this regard, but in some areas, the free app cannot correct everything. There is currently no fixed schedule, although I believe that two chapters per week should be reasonable. Depending on how much time I have, I can write more.

So What If I'm Trash? Who Needs Cultivation?!
Qing Shan Long. They say he isn't human. An escaped experiment from some government facility, a reincarnation of a saint, a freakish superhuman. Whatever he was one thing was clear. Be it Music, Martial Arts, Science, whatever he does he excels. He was a whimsical man. A great man. A man who craving for knowledge and excitement knows no bounds, whose collection of books and personal library would even make Alexander the Great green with envy. He donated to all manners of charities and funded many projects for helping the poor and disabled. A self made man who single handedly founded one of the largest corporations in the world, Wen Qu Technologies, whose influences reach from vast fields of expertise. From objects of war such as the newest aircrafts, droids, and body armor; to life saving medicine and vaccines; to even the mundane such as video games and the fast food industry. A legendary example of determination and hard work. He was in his car being driven to a business meeting to disclose a deal that would help ensure the country could have access to clean energy and help reduce the pollution that has been plaguing his homeland for the past millenia when he was assassinated and woke up in a strange new world. How will Qing Shan deal with his new environment where the strong suppresses the weak? From the top of the world he suddenly finds himself free falling to rock bottom. Unable to cultivate, a weak body, and all but disowned by his family. (For those who read comics and watch cartoons, imagine him as being Tony Stark, Richard Reeds, Jimmy Neutron, etc level of 'Genius'. ) My own spin on some familar tropes. Another reincarnation into another world story. The MC will take over the body of someone with a trash body that can't cultivate and will be hated and neglected by his family. Pretty typical so far right? Except there won't be some amazing miracle to heal our MC, there isn't some magical grandpa to teach him some OP thing which only his trash body can use, there isn't a hidden op bloodline, and he is not from a super amazing assassin clan or genius doctor. He isn't the chosen one, he's just a guy trying his best to make something with a crap situation. First attempt at a wuxia type story! I like playing with common tropes, maybe adding a twist, to playing it straight as a classic. I have absolutely no idea where this is going to take me but please do give your input and I'll do my best so that everyone has a say in where our journey will go. I'll admit the only knowledge I have of chinese history and ancient society is from reading light novels translated to english and some old dramas, so if I make some social passe just take it as because this is another world, not exactly an AU where magic and stuff actually exist. I'm also not actually Chinese and will basically using google to help me with names and other such, if I make a mistake please let me know! (Even if you don't like the story or couldn't bare to get past chapter 1 please leave a comment so I can find out where to improve, thank you!)
