Primordial Dimensions Chapter 103

Shane was mesmerized by Aisha's smile. She seemed to look even more beautiful, as her hair fluttered in the light breeze that blew through the crystal clear lake, causing Shane to be stupefied.
'What is she doing here? Shouldn't Aisha be somewhere with her Valkyrie troupe?'
As Aisha walked towards him, he saw her for the first time without wearing her silver armor. Shane couldn't help but acknowledge the fact that she had a slim figure that complimented her fair skin and white shining hair.
Shaking his head, he asked himself if Aisha knew who he was, as he heard her saying.
"Hello, Shane Stella, what a 'coincidence' to meet you here!"
Sighing, Shane immediately knew that his plan to stay lowkey was on the brink of collapse, as he thought.
'Of course, she knows who I am...Did Uncle Lars tell her, or did I introduce myself as Stella at the military event?!'
Shane didn't know, but in the end, it didn't matter and he immediately disregarded her beautiful appearance, as he said
"My name is Shane Suro...please don't create any misunderstandings by calling me Stella."
Hearing this, Aisha halted in her steps, as she sized him up once again from head to toe.
"Aren't you John Stella's son? If I remember correctly, you should be?"
Normally, he would just ignore such useless chit-chat, but inside the forest, he felt relaxed. He didn't mind explaining to Aisha what was going on, at least to a certain degree.
She was someone unrelated to him, with the only connection being Uncle Lars.
As such, she didn't need to know his personal reasons.
"My father is John Stella, but I'm still Shane Suro. I want to have my peace inside the Shirai academy, without others bothering me about my father. I hope you can refrain from telling others about my existence or at least who my father is. You wouldn't like to be bothered by others because of insincere reasons, whatever they may be, or am I wrong?"
Nodding her head, she felt that it might become bothersome for Shane, if she were to tell others about his true identity, which she didn't want to do in the first place.

Looking into his eyes, she noticed his firm resolve and a strong will, which she expected from the descendant of humanity's leader.
However, the independence he showcased was something she hadn't expected. Shane didn't seem to bother about his background even a tiny bit, which was uncommon among wealthy families.
Furthermore, according to the mana fluctuations she perceived from him, it was clear that Shane was at the 10th Mortal stage. It was laughable when compared to the stage he could have already reached if he were to fully utilize his family's resources.
He had his doubts of thinking of the meeting with Aisha Hael in the Shirai academy to just be a weird coincidence. It felt as if his whole family wanted to tease him, causing him to frown lightly, as he asked her straightforwardly.
"Did Uncle Lars send you to the Shirai academy? If that's the case, I doubt that you're neither here as a student, normal knowledge teacher nor a common combat teacher, right?"
It was only a hunch, but when he saw Aisha inside the Basic-Dimension he would have never thought that she would leave her Valkyrie Unit. It just didn't add up which made everything he perceived here only weirder.
'He didn't fall on his head, huh?' Smiling at Shane's observation and comprehension ability, she couldn't help but acknowledge his train of thought, as she nodded her head, saying.
"You're right, Uncle Lars sent me here and it's also true that I'm neither an ordinary teacher nor some common combat teacher..Shirai academy has more than enough of them. They have already ascended into the Intermediate Dimension, while their combat experience is of several dozen years since they entered the Primordial DImensions long ago."
Taking a deep breath, she revealed
"I'm a new type of teacher, also called [In-field combat teacher]. In my combat class, I'll enter the Primordial Dimension for a period between one to three weeks in order to broaden everyone's horizon, combat prowess, and experience.
One could also call it an expedition."
She was still smiling, but to Shane, it felt like this smile had suddenly turned evil. It caused him to notice that Aisha was not only a beautiful flower to look at, but that there was also a crafty and fierce tigress hidden beneath those attractive looks.

However, this 'expedition' type of lesson sounded interesting to him. Shane was sure that many students would learn how to survive in the wilderness through that, while their combat prowess and battle awareness would soar.
But the most important point of such an expedition was that the students would learn that they were not invincible inside the Primordial Dimension. It would serve as a reality check for them because even if they thought that a high Expert stage was enough, it wasn't. There were still more than enough beasts that were even stronger than peak Expert stages with a mana purity of 80%.
They were rare, but they existed, with a more threatening existence being the bloodlust thunder wolf.
In Shane's opinion, the bloodlust thunder wolf might even be able to kill Aisha, if they were to fight against each other head-on, without the Valkyrie unit behind her.
She was said to have a mana purity of 90% and thinking that the bloodlust thunder wolf may be stronger than that, Shane couldn't help but feel slightly terrified.
Aisha and Shane talked for several minutes to each other, before Aisha walked out of the forest, leaving him alone.
Looking over the whole lake, Shane felt the desire to cultivate. He went to the exact same spot Aisha had previously been seated on, because it was the spot with the densest mana flow, due to overlapping mana streams.
Sitting down, he decided to cultivate for the remaining day, because he had nothing better to do, either way.
Utilizing the mana gathering technique, Shane felt extremely calm. He slowly accumulated the amiable mana particles from his surroundings, before he slowly switched to exert the mana purifying technique.
As hours passed, a true sense of calmness enveloped his entire being. He didn't perceive any disturbances from his surroundings, as he opened his eyes slowly.
Taking a deep breath, he exhaled slowly. Shane wasn't even sure how often he had switched between the mana gathering and purifying technique, but looking towards the sky, he began to wonder.
'Is it morning already?'
Glancing at the system's clock, Shane smiled dryly, as a familiar notification popped up.
[Host entered the [Zone] thanks to the surroundings' tranquility, host's determination, amity to mana, and mana aptitude]
He really liked the Zone-state, even if he was still not completely sure what it was. In the end, he didn't even notice how much time passed and was shocked to notice that he had been in the forest for20 hours.
Even more important, however, was that the Zone increased the efficiency of his whole cultivation process, without him having to use mana stones.
Looking at his status panel, he saw that his mana purity had increased to [11.79%] which was an increase of around 1.2%.
He had achieved this progress without the use of mana stones and in barely 20 hours, while only utilizing a [Tier-1 (Gold)] mana purifying technique. Thus, Shane couldn't be helped but feel satisfied.
If he continued like this he would only need 15 days in order to reach a mana purity of 28%.
At least, if he were to cultivate throughout two full weeks, which he sadly couldn't do.
This was solely because he wouldn't be able to increase his physique in the meantime. His current physique was too weak to sustain his health without eating or sleeping for such a long period.
If he were able to circulate more mana in his body, Shane was confident in being able to cultivate for such a long period.
However, his physique and mana veins were still too feeble to achieve such a feat.
In the end, by increasing his physique, he would be able to increase the shell, holding the mana within his body.
Because it was already so late, Shane had to hurry up in order to write his first knowledge exam.
Dashing forward, he left the forest behind, and ran towards one of the three large building complexes, surrounding the colosseum.

The Long and Exciting Life of Kreet the Kobold (Life 2)
Kreet was originally a D&D character. Life 1 was essentially her backstory. Life 2 picks up just after the events of the D&D campaign in the Underdark. At first you won't recognize the characters, but bear with it for a couple chapters and the few important points will be revealed. Also I stole a player's character (with his permission!) in the form of Sigmundurr. Also, unlike Life 1, I'll be posting this slowly over time. Right now I'm writing around chapter 20 and I suspect I'm only halfway. Tone may be a little different. ( Cover art by KuroNeko I'm pretty sure!)
