Primordial Dimensions Chapter 96

"Can you see the beggar in front of us? Why does he look so dirty? Isn't it weird for someone at the MHV-train platform to look like this?"
Bothered by what the girl called Olivia said, Shane looked down at his clothes. Unfortunately, he had to acknowledge that his clothes were rather rags than normal clothes as he had stored his expensive robe within the spatial ring in order to not attract attention.
'Maybe it was the wrong way?' He thought as he turned around in order to glare at Olivia. She was shocked to see a clean and handsome face behind the rags, causing her to step back, as she noticed his cold eyes piercing into hers.
"Hot!" was the only thing she barely exclaimed, causing Aimy to look at her in embarrassment, as she looked at Shane with curiosity.
'He is our age, huh?' She asked herself. Suddenly the rag around Shane vanished, replaced with a black leather armor covered in small runes, while two red daggers were sheathed on his belt.
Tugging at Olivia who was still shocked, Aimy asked "Now he doesn't look like a beggar anymore, huh?" with a smile on her face…
Even if she didn't care about someone's appearance, she had to acknowledge that the youth in front of her had an athletic build and was extremely handsome.
After the rags vanished, Shane took out the expensive black robe from his spatial storage in order to cover his armor and weapons.
Even if he was within a human city, he would never lower his guard or go anywhere without his weapons.
Storing them within his spatial ring was also possible, but there was still a small gap between taking them out of a storage ring and unsheathing them. It could mean all the difference between life and death.
If nobody saw his weapons, it was even better.
Initially, he didn't bother about changing his torn robe to the good one he had for years. But it seemed like he attracted more attention by remaining lowkey, which was also not beneficial for him.
As such, Shane decided to change his robe.
Fortunately, the girls couldn't gossip anymore as the MHV-train arrived exactly on time. Shane entered it, with gleaming eyes inspecting everything with curiosity.

He had never seen the interior of an MHV-train and Shane immediately felt slight mana fluctuations radiating from it, with the source at the front.
'Obviously, it is empowered by mana' He thought, as he searched for his designated seat.
Sitting down a minute later, he noticed that the girls were seated relatively close to him, as he heard Olivia gossip.
"Is he trying to fool us? Was this a roleplay? Why did he change from rags to riches in a second?"
After that, Shane could only hear a light tap, as Aimy said
"Don't be ridiculous... He probably left the shelter only some time ago and forgot to change his clothes. It would be great if you were as strong as your imagination!"
"HEY!!! I'm strong! Do you want to fight me?!" Olivia said, taking the bait as she replied.
"We have more than enough time to fight, let's play some games! Do you have [Ceroa's rise]?"
'Games?' In the beginning, Shane didn't want to bother about the girls, but hearing that they were going to play a game, piqued his curiosity.
Neither on earth nor on Igra, had Shane ever played any console game. they were deemed as useless, except for a few VR applications that were compatible to improve one's martial art techniques.
But Shane wasn't even allowed to play such a game and hearing Aimy, who sat three seats behind her talking about a game, made him feel interested.
Shane tried to distract himself by reading forum threads on PrimWeb, but when he heard Aimy and Olivia laugh while playing a game, he was involuntarily drawn to them.
He didn't even realize when he had gotten up from his seat and walked up to Aimy who was looking at the holographic screen where a warrior was fighting against a demon.
Only now did Shane take a proper look at Aimy and Olivia who sat opposite Aimy.
Aimy looked rather feeble with her small physique, while her long brown hair and eyelashes highlighted her large eyes.
Shane thought she was pretty because her facial features stood out.
Olivia meanwhile, was similarly short, but she couldn't be called feeble because one could see her toned body, while her eyelashes weren't any special. Her hair was short and blond in color while Shane would describe her facial features as common or average.

While comparing both of them, Shane thought that Aimy was rather modest, quiet, pretty, and thoughtful, whereas Olivia was straightforward and blunt.
He remained quiet in order to not annoy the two girls that played their game ambitiously while his eyes gleamed in interest.
Time slowly passed and neither of them noticed something odd, as the two girls continued to play.
Suddenly they heard a faint "go to the right", causing them to suddenly stop playing.
"To the right..why are you stopping?" Shane said, not noticing that something was off, as Olivia exclaimed.
"The handsome beggar!!" which caused Shane to frown lightly as he stared straight into Olivia's eyes.
"Maybe not a beggar, but you're definitely handsome!" She said, without caring that Shane observed their game, while Aimy, who was a bit farther from him, looked up at him with widened eyes.
'I didn't notice him at all!' She was astonished to notice Shane and she sized him up from head to toe.
Clearing her throat, she spoke while Shane continued to watch them play.
"How long have you been watching us?" She added a little bit of anger in her voice, trying to hide her uncertainty.
Looking at the system's time, Shane answered honestly "Probably half an hour?"
Olivia laughed out and said slyly. "Oh! Did you stalk us for half an hour? You bad boy!", while Aimy said
"Don't you know that it's rude to sneak on two unsuspecting girls?"
Shane thought for a moment before he realized that he had indeed quietly approached them in order to have a better view of the game.
With an "Oh!!" Shane fumbled to form a response.
"Please don't misunderstand, I didn't mean to stalk either one of you... I was only interested in the game you two played!"
After saying this, he heard Olivia laughing out, while Aimy's mouth twitched.
"That's the spirit!! Handsome boy!! I like you... My name is Olivia Berg...Are you also a student of the Shirai academy? How come you don't know [Ceroa's rise]?! It recently went viral on Igra !! You can even use a VR appliance with it and improve your martial art technique and combat experience!"
Olivia ignored Aimy's weird expression completely because she didn't care about such a minor thing. Shane sighed in relief, that she hadn't misunderstood him and Olivia's words made him curious.
"Yes, your guess was correct. I'm also a student at the Shirai academy. My name is Shane Suro and I don't know this Ceroa's rise… I've never played any games at all which was the reason why I was so interested in it. Sorry again."
Shane was a little embarrassed because he hadn't thought about his actions and how they would affect the girls. With his aunts and uncles around, he didn't have to think much about what he was doing because he could write, say and behave like he wanted, with a few small restrictions, but that was it.
Approaching strangers as he did was creepy and realizing his own wrong behavior made him feel uncomfortable.
Aimy slowly calmed down and hearing that Shane had never played a game felt weird to her. Everyone she knew had at least played one or two games in their life even if it was only for them to increase their combat prowess
"You don't improve your martial art techniques by playing games? What else are you doing in your free time with your friends?"
Suddenly, both Olivia and Aimy noticed Shane frowning lightly, and his mouth twitched.
He wasn't sure how to answer this question but he tried to answer without exposing anything that shouldn't be revealed, as he shrugged his shoulders.
"I never really had any free time and there were no friends to play with."
