Primordial Dimensions Chapter 67
Advertisement
The majority of beasts within the radiant mountain ring dimension were unknown to mankind, but the group of beasts in front of Shane weren't.
But even so, what he saw astonished him a lot, as a group of 6 sparky-horned goats were grazing more than fifty meters away from him.
He was lucky to have spotted the relatively meek group of beasts to test his archery skills on instead of the other stronger ones he had already encountered. It was somewhat uncommon for the same race to exist in multiple dimensions, even though it was possible.
Smiling cruelly at the mid- wild stage sparky-horned goats that were unaware of their doom, Shane sneaked up closer to them in order to pursue his prey, if he were to use up all his possible shots.
With an arrow already nocked on the bowstring, he pulled it back, once he reached a certain range before he adjusted his angle.
As he released the arrow with a smooth movement, a *woosh* could be heard coming from it. The arrow pierced through one of the obliviously grazing sparky-horned goat's abdomen, as it felt a searing pain throughout its body.
The injured sparky-horned goat was still unaware of the encroaching death as everything seemed to become heavier while its legs gave in.
Meanwhile, the surrounding sparky-horned goats noticed their comrade being shot by something with an extremely high velocity, as another arrow flew towards them. It hit another mid-wild stage goat on its back, going all the way inside the body, crushing the bones before it pierced out of the back as if nothing happened.
Shane wasn't really satisfied with his two shots, so he stored the second arrow before two daggers appeared within his hands.
The shiolite dagger with its rare quality was still his strongest close combat weapon while he had purchased another tier-1 dagger with a common quality in order to enhance his efficiency.

Two sparky-horned goats were already fighting for their lives, while Shane rushed towards the remaining four mid wild stage beasts. They seemed to do nothing, as they barely noticed his sudden approach.
Their range of emotion was extremely difficult to decipher as they were full of wrath and fear at the same time. They gazed at Shane intently, not knowing whether to flee or to fight.
In the end, two out of the four remaining uninjured sparky-horned goats couldn't abandon their comrades as they charged at Shane. He swiftly swirled around, only to thrust his daggers into their necks in order to kill them without causing them too much pain.
Shane found the two sparky-horned goats' actions marvelous as they had sacrificed their lives in order to protect their comrades, which not many beasts and races would do.
Unfortunately, their efforts were futile because Shane would kill all of them either way because the sparky horns were worth a small fortune.
Thanks to their elemental affinity and ability to be grinded into weapons, their worth was 5 silver for each horn which Shane wouldn't waste.
The last two sparky-horned goats ran away and Shane followed them after swiftly storing the four dead goat corpses away.
There was still blood dripping from their dead bodies, but they were dead for sure. Shane was only worried about the arrows that had pierced through the two bodies as he had to find them once again when he saw something extremely weird in front of him.
"What the actual f*ck?" Slipped subconsciously out of his mouth as he gazed at the two-meter-tall goat that revealed itself after its brethren had been killed.
`Is that the sparky-horned goat's evolution?` Shane suddenly began to wonder as he gazed at the slightly purple horns. They were curled at the top and their size was more than 50 centimeters.

Thick lightning enveloped the horns and he seemed to be bewitched by them, as Umbra bit into his neck to get him out of the trance.
`What was that?` Shane asked himself as he was able to control himself again.
It was weird for him to lose control over his body and Shane asked himself why that was the case. His daggers disappeared once again from his hands, with his bow and an arrow manifested in his hands.
From his first two shots, Shane noticed that his proficiency had decreased by a noticeable degree, even though he had used a foreign bow for the first time. Its strength had been too much for him to handle.
In normal cases, everyone would think hitting the designated target was an achievement with such hindrances. But Shane was a different case who couldn't accept his inability to kill them instantly.
It somehow tortured his mind and the tall `lightning-horned goat` in front of him seemed to be his perfect target.
Shane wasn't sure of its official name or what stage it was, but he estimated it to be at the elite stage. Its aura was mightier than the peak-wild stage purple-furred wolves and scaled lizards that he had met before.
As such, he nocked the arrow in his hands on the bowstring, when Shane noticed the lightning-horned goat roaring out in rage. It charged towards him with the two small sparky-horned goats behind it.
It was as if the two sparky-horned goats were followers of the lightning-horned goat as they roared immediately after it.
However, Shane didn't care about their existence even the slightest, as he gazed at the only threatening being in front of him that could kill him.
Activating the [Berserk(F)] skill, Shane pulled the bowstring back with all his might, causing his muscles to strain as the string reached his chin.
Due to the lightning-horned goat's wrath over the death of its brethren, it charged straight towards Shane without any detour.
This, however, was extremely advantageous for Shane as he could calmly aim at the massive target in front of him. As the lightning goat charged at him like a bull, he released the rare quality arrow with its terrifying force behind it.
Soaring through the air in a smooth curve, the arrows pierced right into the lightning-horned goat's skull, crushing it as the arrowhead bent slightly.
Noting that his aim was on point, Shane smiled lightly before the two daggers appeared within his hands once again.
The lightning-horned goat collapsed on the ground, shocking its two followers as Shane appeared between them. He stabbed his two daggers without wasting a single moment for unnecessary moves, killing the two remaining opponents mercilessly.

A World With or Without Aliens
Nothing matters. It's not my opinion, it's a scientific fact. This is neither good nor bad, it just... is. I watched my entire country burn, fried on a patriotic pan after some jerk fired a bunch of nukes at the docile fleet of alien ships hovering over us. Who gave this moron such power? I don't know. Everyone involved is most likely dead by now. As for me, I can't die. I feel pain like a normal person would (I think), but no matter how terrible the conditions, I will never die or pass out. Fortunately, a lot of alien technology survived its crash to Earth, so I get to spend some time playing with it until Mr. Author gets bored and decides to screw up my life. Beware, this has a "harem" tag. If you haven't figured it out yet, I'm the main character and am therefore subject to this novel's timeline. While this bars me from the sweet ignorance of Chapter 1's me, it does have other perks... for example, I can tell you that heroine number one is personally responsible for kil-!? H-hey, back off! I'm your character, so if you didn't want me to be like this, then you should've written me differently! Randomguy here! In all seriousness, this novel is meant to explore the concept of nihilism as a post-apocalyptic/supernatural-scifi/satire told from a nihilistic introvert's first-person perspective. As you heard from my unsettled main character, each heroine is going to be a different type of horrifying socio/psychopath with dark motives and dangerous abilities (most of which are psychological). Why would I do something like this? Because I am, in reality, a nihilist who is often frustrated by weird things, like unrealistically dramatic stories, the industrialization of art (specifically music), and people who think swimming in brown creekwater for five hours is a "fun" activity. Don't get me wrong, neither me nor my character are depressed, we're just malcontents who make a lot of nerd references. I feel like the true essence of an "everything is worthless" perspective is lost on most pop-culture figures. The closest character I can think of at the moment is Rick from Rick and Morty, who is a drunk, angry nihilist that experienced tremendous loss. I, personally, find this belligerent state of mind to be very relatable, and have incorperated it into every chapter's introduction. Here, the main character talks directly to the reader (and me), shamelessly complaining about some semi-relevant facet of society, which probably doesn't make much sense... it's not really supposed to, though. These "angry nihilist" moments are just a peak into the main character's everyday existence, and also act as miniature rage-journals for me. It will sometimes take a subjectively 'positive' turn, but not very often. This is because reality isn't good or bad, "it just... is". I will eventually bring it full-circle to optimistic nihilism, since that seems to be a more practical way to live (and by "practical", I mean "doesn't create mental health issues"). It is, of course, a satire. I did this because most unnecessarily emotional moments or people usually make me feel kind of awkward, so I decided to mock them. That is, I plan to mock the characteristics about them I don't like in characters based solely off said characteristics. Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy my story!
