Primordial Dimensions Chapter 41

"Hey Uncle Max, Shane here, can you spare some time for your nephew?"
'Maybe it will work?' Shane thought with slight hesitation before he attached a picture of himself to the message in order to prove that it was really him.
He was still slightly dirty, within a shabby room, and looked tired but it was evident that he was Shane Suro, or for his father's friends, Little Shane or Shane Stella.
It was not that his father's friend was really his uncle, but Max Brier, one of the most respected tamers on Igra wanted to be called Uncle Max by Shane.
As such, he could only obey, and to be honest, there wasn't any harm in doing so.
A few minutes had passed but he hadn't received a reply from his uncle. Shane decided to leave the Soul-Onyx-Jungle dimension because he wanted to escape the heavy rain.
With Umbra coiled around his neck, he went out of the Inn and walked towards the dimension portal, as he received a notification.
Standing on the open street, while the rain poured down on him, Shane decided to leave for another dimension before anything else.
Only five minutes later, Shane entered the dimension portal to visit the Deep Mountain-river dimension after paying two silver coins for their teleportation fee.
Entering the DeepMountain shelter, Shane and Umbra were greeted by the bright light shining onto them. It took them a few moments until their eyes adjusted to the bright afternoon sun illuminating the shelter.
Without wasting much time, Shane left the shelter and sat down outside the shelter walls, leaning on a tree before he opened his uncle's message.
"Shane, is that really you? Where are you? How are you doing? Is everything okay? We were all worried about you! You look dirty and tired...WHY did you run away from home?"

Shane was taken aback to receive the message that bombarded him with several questions at once. It seemed weird, but warmth filled his heart.
"Yeah, it's me, uncle. I'm doing fine and the last few days were full of action. Strolling through the Primordial dimension is really something one shouldn't miss out on..haha…Furthermore, you should know why I didn't want to stay with dad, does he really think he can control me for his whole life and order me around like I'm his puppet?"
Shane wasn't sure what else to write and he didn't want to complain too much about his father to one of his friends, even if he had much more to say.
As such, Shane decided to focus on his reason for writing to uncle Max, with slight hesitation.
"It might be out of line to ask you that, but can you give me a drop of Tiamir's blood? I need it for something and the prices on the Primordial shops are too expensive for me to handle right now."
Shane felt embarrassed to ask for this favor, but he would repay it sometime in the future.
In the beginning, Shane also wanted to ask Max to lend him some money, but with this, he would feel like he still had to rely on his father's connections.
Asking for a drop of Tamir's, i.e. Max's strongest tamed beast's blood was already the highest favor he wanted to receive for now.
At least, until the dispute with his father was solved.
Shane received a reply to his request in less than a minute.
Furthermore, John is searching for you, even though he already has so much to do...
As for your request about Tiamir's blood, I don't really know why you need it, but I'll send it to you through the system's package service.

You don't have to pay the transfer fee, I'll pay it but do me a favor and message John so he knows that you're alive..otherwise the federation will turn quite chaotic while he's looking for you.
If you need anything else, just let me know….>
Shane felt conflicted as he read through the message. By 'we' his Uncle probably meant the close circle of friends around John that had mostly raised him.
All of them were like a part of their family but Shane had been suppressed for his whole life, even if he was overwhelmed with their love and care about him.
He wasn't even allowed to go to a normal school and make friends. It was as if he was a princess locked within a castle, only able to look out of the barred windows, waiting for a prince to rescue her.
Shane didn't want to wait for anyone to rescue him, as such he decided to rescue himself by entering the Primordial Dimensions.
It definitely felt good that his dad was searching for him, but that didn't change their internal dispute.
Pondering for a moment, Shane decided that he would write his dad a short message later and inform him that he was doing fine.
In addition, he wanted to clearly explain his reasons for not wanting to stay with his dad, at least until his dad changed his controlling behavior.
But if Shane was honest, he didn't think that his dad would do much about the current situation, because there was too much he had to do right now. Humanity had spread further in the primordial dimensions while his dad prepared to venture into a new advanced dimension to lead the construction of the shelter there.
It was important and his dad wouldn't have much time to think about his son.
Before Shane could even click on his dad's private account number Uncle Max had sent him, he received yet another message from him.
To be honest, we found it quite hilarious because your dad threw a fit and almost demolished the whole mansion...haha...being reminded of that feels refreshing...
Your fiancé's family was displeased and John might be a little bit aggrieved because of your decision to leave without telling anyone about it.
You haven't even seen your fiancé, did you get cold feet? HAHAHA … Jokes aside… take care of yourself and please tell any of us as soon as you need anything, okay? Stay safe!! This is an order ;D>
Reading the last message, Shane smiled and began to laugh as he could imagine his dad demolishing the whole mansion in his bad temper...
Umbra saw Shane laugh and felt as elated as his master, transmitting a lot of happiness and joy.
Both felt happy and it took them a while before they calmed down, when Shane finished reading the message.
Frowning deeply, Shane mumbled "What cold feet? I'll live a long life and marriage can be done later...I'm only 16 years old...Furthermore, I'll decide who I want to marry!!"

Of Men and Dragons, Book 1
Book 1 is now available on Kindle, or in paperback/hardcover! You can buy it here! Jack crash-landed on a planet where the natives are seven-foot-tall carnivorous cat-lizards currently somewhere between stone and bronze age. The good news is the natives think the ship that crashed into their mountain is a dragon and are steering clear of it. The bad news is they just left one of their own as a sacrifice to appease the beast. No matter what Jack and his AI co-pilot decide, his life just got a lot more complicated... ATTENTION: This is soft sci-fi rather than hard sci-fi, hence why I chose that tag. For those of you unfamiliar with the distinction, here's what Wikipedia had to say. 1. It explores the "soft" sciences, and especially the social sciences (for example, anthropology, sociology, or psychology), rather than engineering or the "hard" sciences (for example, physics, astronomy, or chemistry). 2. It is not scientifically accurate or plausible; the opposite of hard science fiction. Soft science fiction of either type is often more concerned with character and speculative societies, rather than speculative science or engineering. The term first appeared in the late 1970s and is attributed to Australian literary scholar Peter Nicholls.
